After Xenia Davis left, silence returned to the hospital room.
Yolanda Taylor lay on the bed, looking at the ceiling above her head, tears streaming down her face, but she still didn’t move halfway.
The night was sleepless.
It was after five in the morning before she slept through it.
At 6:30 a. m., however, the sound of food carts and nurses’ carts rattling in the hallway woke Yolanda Taylor up, and she opened her eyes just in time to see the nurse pushing the door in to check on her.
“Miss Taylor.”
She nodded once and sat up holding onto the bed, holding out her hand to take the other woman’s blood pressure.
The nurse had just left when Martin Anderson arrived.
Yolanda Taylor looked at the breakfast he was carrying in his hand and smiled a little, “You’re here so early?”
“Thought you’d be hungry.” She was indeed hungry, Yolanda Taylor got out of bed and went into the restroom to wash up.
When she came out, Martin Anderson had breakfast set out.
“Thanks.”
She reached for the spoon and scooted down to scoop up the porridge and take a sip.
It was quiet inside the hospital room, and neither spoke.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t like being inside the hospital and after breakfast she insisted on being discharged.
Martin Anderson saw her strong attitude, also did not say anything, accompanied her to do the discharge formalities and sent her home.
Just after she got home, Yolanda Taylor got a call from Beth Garcia.
“What’s up?”
“You’re out of the hospital, huh?”
Yolanda Taylor walked over to the couch and sat down, “Yeah, just got home.”
“Is everything okay?”
“Nothing.”
Beth Garcia’s side of the conversation was hesitant to say anything, but Yolanda Taylor wasn’t interested in asking, “I’ll hang up now, I didn’t sleep well in the hospital last night.”
Hearing her say that, Beth Garcia hurriedly answered yes.
After hanging up the phone, Yolanda Taylor inclined her head to look at the tall buildings outside the floor-to-ceiling window.
On her cell phone, the news that Gwen Fox and Xenia Davis had broken off their engagement was three tweets old.
Yolanda Taylor glanced at it, tossed her phone aside, and got up to go upstairs to her room.
She slept until it was dark, and when she woke up, it was dark outside.
Yolanda Taylor had a slight headache after sleeping all day.
She sat up and rubbed her temples, and after a half a dozen moments tried to get her cell phone from a sideboard, and after a moment of fumbling with it, she remembered that she had thrown it on the couch downstairs.
Yolanda Taylor had to go downstairs, there were two unfamiliar calls on top of her phone and a bunch of messages on WhatsApp.
She tapped in and scanned it hurriedly before ordering a takeaway.
She was the only one inside the house, and such silence made it hard for Yolanda Taylor, it was like being inside that operating room last night, with nothing but the sound of the cold instruments.
The whole process, the doctors and nurses didn’t say a few words.
She lay there on the bed, her whole body at their mercy.
That instrument reached inside her uterus, a trip of blood kept flowing out, she looked at that ceiling, wanting someone to save her, but no one could save her.
Thinking about last night, all Yolanda Taylor could feel was something pounding against her sinews, and it hurt so much that she couldn’t say a word.
She had to curl her whole body up and hug herself tightly, and only then did she feel a little better.
It hurt so much.
Yolanda Taylor was startled for a moment when the doorbell rang, and it wasn’t until she heard the delivery man at the door calling to her that she realized that what she’d just witnessed was a hallucination.
She wiped her face, got up and went out to open the door to get the takeout.
After that day, Yolanda Taylor stayed at home for a week before going out.
Just after she left the house, she was targeted by entertainment reporters.
The whole of Borden City was now blaming her for the breakup of Xenia Davis and Gwen Fox’s engagement, after all, she had made such a big deal out of Xenia Davis’s birthday party, but she had a miscarriage.
“Miss Taylor, may I ask if Young Master Fox and Miss Davis broke off their engagement because your miscarriage had something to do with Miss Davis?”
“Miss Taylor, now that Young Master Fox and Miss Davis have broken off their engagement, are you and Young Master Fox getting back together?”
Getting back together?
Yolanda Taylor thought that people nowadays can really think, she laughed and looked at one of the cameras, “You guys are thinking too much, it’s just a normal friendship between Young Master Fox and I, maybe not even a normal friendship. As for my miscarriage …”
She said and paused, “It has nothing to do with anyone.”
After saying that, she lowered her head, “Excuse me, please move over.”
The interview was live, and Yolanda Taylor’s words had spread throughout Borden City by this time.
Beth Garcia was originally live broadcasting, suddenly saw the link sent by her cell phone girlfriend, she clicked on it, and was shocked, she quickly turned off the live broadcast, and pulled aside Jerome Perot, “Come here, look, it’s Yolanda!”
Jerome Perot huffed and rubbed his arm, “I’m not blind, I can see it!”
No sooner had he spoken than Yolanda Taylor’s words came from inside that cell phone.
For a moment, both of them were a bit silent.
It had to be said that Yolanda Taylor was really bullish.
Ordinary friends …
That’s something that Gwen Fox would probably want to kill someone for hearing, right?
Naturally, Beth Garcia and Jerome Perot were not the only ones who saw the video, and Xenia Davis dropped her phone right after watching it.
She remembered Yolanda Taylor’s words last night, remembered that early this morning Gwen Fox contacted the media to announce the breakup of the engagement, her face became more and more ugly.
A breath held back and unable to vent, Xenia Davis raised her leg and kicked the sofa in front of her.
And at this moment, FG’s general manager’s office.
Lewis looked at the desk in front of Gwen Fox, such a cold day, but he felt his back layer of sweat outward.
Time passed by minute by minute, and he didn’t know how long it took before he heard the man’s icy voice come, “Lewis you are so free that you like to pay attention to these gossips?”
Hearing his words, Lewis stiffened, “I’m sorry, Young Master Fox, I won’t next time.”
Gwen Fox raised his eyes to look at him, and when he met those cold black eyes, Lewis’ fingers trembled slightly, “I won’t bother you anymore.”
After saying that, he immediately turned around and left the office with the door.
After leaving the office, Lewis glanced at the dark wooden door and sighed slightly, sure enough, but whenever he touched Miss Taylor’s matter, Gwen Fox was like a different person.
Obviously he was the one who asked him to keep an eye on Miss Taylor before, but now he was telling him about Miss Taylor’s interview and that he was too available.
The more and more he didn’t understand what Young Master Fox was thinking.
After Lewis left, Gwen Fox was left alone inside the office.
He looked at Yolanda Taylor inside the video playing on top of his tablet, his cold eyebrows as if stained with frost, “A common friend?”
He snorted and pulled the corner of his mouth into a cold smile, lifting his hand to turn off that video, “Yolanda Taylor, you really are getting better and better.”
One foot aborting his child, the next telling the media that they were just normal friends.
How come he hadn’t realized before that Yolanda Taylor, this woman, still had the ability to talk nonsense with her eyes open?
