Bella’s POV
What I saw made me have tears in my eyes. I cannot believe what I am seeing. He loves me? How? Why? I am just a mere human. Tears continue to drop. They were not tears of fears or sadness, they were tears that showed how happy I am.
“I told you that man loves you unconditionally. Trust him my dear. That man is broken. And only you can fix him, not anyone else but you. Don’t give up on him cupcake.” My mum said as she caressed my cheeks.
I don’t know what to say. I have never felt this overwhelmed in my life. He is not a monster. He was anything but a monster. He looked so vulnerable. Because of me. In fear he might lose me.
“Mum I trust him now. I will fix him mummy. I promise you.” I promised my mum. She had a full blown smile. It has been so long since I saw her this happy, that without realising I had a smile on my face too.
“I know you can. You are capable of anything. You will be a great Luna for the pack.” my mum said.
“I don’t understand. What is a Luna?” I asked in confusion. She just chuckled at me. “You will know soon, my cupcake.” she said as she smiled sheepishly at me. I just nodded my head in confusion.
“Now don’t you wanna go back to the lover boy of yours?” she said as she wiggled her eyebrows. When she said that, I started to bush. As she saw this, she started laughing at me. I playfully glared as she put her hands up in defence.
“You have to go cupcake, you cannot stay longer.” she said as a sad smile played on her lips. I quickly turned sad. “Hey don’t be sad, I will always be watching over you. Always.” she said as she took my hands and promised.
I just smiled at her. “Now you have to go. Close your eyes and think of the person you want to see when you open your eyes..” I scrunch my eyebrows at her. But nevertheless I did as she was told. I felt a kiss in my forehead, before feeling like I was being pulled.
I did like what mum told me. I thought of the person I wanted to see when I opened my eyes. Xavier. I thought really hard. Until I felt like my body was aching . My head was pounding. I tried opening my eyes.
But I failed. I kept trying but unable to open. I thought about Xavier. The way he yearned for me. That gave me determination, so I tried again. And I was able to open my lids only closing it again due to the light and headache.
I felt something heavy in my hands. It was rough yet soft. Not being able to open my eyes or voice out due to the dryness, I squeezed whatever that was in my hands. I felt something heavy being lifted off from my tummy.
Whatever that was in my hands, was rough yet soft. It gave me sparks. They were quite familiar. Then I realised it was someone’s hand. I tried to open my eyes, to see who it was.
When I opened my eyes, it was difficult to keep it open. After some time, my eyes adjusted to the lights. As I took in my surroundings, I looked around to spot something that is familiar.
Then I saw him. He looked shocked. However, I spot happiness, relief, and contentment in his eyes. Everything came flooding back.
I remembered what mum told me and showed me. I remember what I saw. Him. He was begging me to come back. He told me that he loved me.
He quickly regained knowledge of what was happening. He was about to go when I did something he was not expecting before darkness consuming again.
Xavier’s POV
I rested my head at Bella’s tummy. It was so soft. She did not have a bony tummy. Neither was she fat. She had such a soft tummy that was chubby. I find it quite cute. My right hand was gripping onto her right hand.
That is when I felt a squeeze I snapped my heads towards her face. There she was. She was trying to keep her eyes open. She turned her head to familiarise where she was. That is when her eyes met mine.
I felt my whole world coming back as she stared at my eyes. Her brown hazel showed that she had realised something. That is when I realised that she is awake.
As I stood up to call the doctor, something I never expected happened. Bella pulled at my hands, and said “Don’t leave.”
