The day to choose who was going to be king finally came. Susan spent the whole of last night thinking thoroughly.
“Mum, you asked to see me,” Jacinta said and sat beside her mother.
“Yea, I think it’s better you stay married to Matias,” Susan spoke.
“But why mum?” Jacinta asked stunned. Her mother promised to stop the marriage from happening, so what is she saying now?
“If Matias proves himself to be worthy of becoming the next king, that automatically makes you the queen of the entire kingdom. You’ll be the most respected woman, and you’ll have power to do whatever you like. I know you are concerned because he’s one-eyed, but as a queen, you’ll be able to get any man you want to be your bed mate.”
Jacinta found reason in her mother’s word, if she became queen, she would be able to do whatever she liked and no one would question her.
“You’re so smart mum,” Jacinta praised her mother, smiling.
“You know today is the final selection and coronation, you need to go get dressed now. I want you to look hotter than anyone else there.”
Jacinta chuckled and then left to get herself ready.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Matias hummed excitedly, it was finally his day and he couldn’t wait.
His beta brought in his expensive blue – colored two – piece tuxedo and assisted in dressing him up, his hair was styled in a jet – like manner.
Matias looked like an angel that fell from heaven, originally Matias was a very handsome man with every feature at the right places.
“Where are the rogues?” Matias asked his beta.
“They are in the black room, Alpha,” The beta answered.
“Alright, bring them out and put them in my car’s boot, make sure you thoroughly and strongly tie up their feet and hands.”
The black room was a place that Matias built up for himself to punish those who were against him, numerous atrocities has been committed in that room.
The rogues were tied as instructed, and we’re thrown into the boot. After which, Matias and his companion left for the coronation.
On the other hand, Jacinta prepared meticulously for the grand occasion of her husband-to-be’s coronation, choosing to adorn herself in a splendid and expensive dress befitting the significance of the event. The dress was a magnificent creation, designed to distinctively bring out her beauty and grace in every possible way. Crafted from the finest silk with intricate beading and embroidery, it shimmered in the light, casting an ethereal glow around her. The cut of the dress perfectly complemented Jacinta’s figure, hugging her curves in all the right places and flowing elegantly as she moved.
The color of the dress was a rich and regal shade, enhancing the golden undertones of her skin and bringing out the warmth in her complexion. Every detail, from the delicate lace on the sleeves to the sweeping train that trailed behind her, spoke of luxury and sophistication. As she stepped into the grand hall, all eyes turned to her, captivated by her beauty and radiance. Jacinta, resplendent in her expensive dress, was the perfect picture of grace and glamour, a vision that would be forever etched in the memories of all who beheld her on that glorious day of the coronation.
Although people were mesmerized by her dress and look, they couldn’t help but wonder why she was dressed that sophisticated. It wasn’t as though Jason, her former fiancé was the one to be coronated, he was dead already, so why was she dressed that way?
Jacinta and her mother sat gracefully in the front row so they wouldn’t miss out on the littlest things that’ll unfold.
Susan was so happy, it was the dethronement of Isabella, who has been the Queen mother for years. The thought of her daughter being the next queen made her so excited. It meant more power, more respect and more wealth.
Susan was also dressed sophisticated, but not as much as her daughter did.
In no time, Isabella stepped in and the hall, which was noisy from the whispers of people, fell silent. Even at old age, Isabella was beautiful like a teenager girl, she aged backwards.
Isabella dressed in a royal attire, the dress was made of the best silk and had beautiful beads and designs on it. It fit her perfectly, showing off her curves and making her look elegant.
The people rose to their feet to honor the beautiful queen mother, Susan wasn’t left out, she stood up but was fuming at the respect that was being given to Isabella.
Isabella got to the front row and sat on the seat that was set aside for her, she spotted Susan and smiled at her.
Susan doesn’t know what’s coming her way!
Isabella wasn’t here to be dethroned.
The judges and Alphas arrived almost at the same time and without a waste of time, the meeting was commenced.
“Firstly, Let’s honor the dead Alpha by giving him a minute of silence,” The elder who was the judge in charge of moderating spoke and everyone gave Jason a standing ovation with complete silence accompanying it.
“Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, you can have your seats.”
“Alpha of the west region, were you able to capture the rogues and prove yourself worthy to be king?” The elder asked.
“No, elder,” The Alpha of the west region stood up and answered politely.
“Alpha of the south region, were you able to capture the rogues and prove yourself worthy to be king?”
“No, I wasn’t able to capture the rogues, elder.”
Jacinta shifted uncomfortably where she was seated, she was nervous, she prayed and hoped Matias captured the rogues so she’ll become queen of the kingdom.
“Alpha of the north region, were you able to capture the rogues and prove yourself worthy to be king?”
Everyone present anticipated Matias reply, knowing how curious they were to know, Matias took advantage of it and kept mute.
“Alpha of the north Region?” The elder called out and Matias slowly stood up.
Jacinta’s heart throbbed fast in anticipation.
“Erm… The thing is that….” Matias spoke and trailed off.
Everywhere remained silent, then he shouted,
“I caught them!”
Jacinta sighed in relief.
At the same moment, the hall door was opened, and Matias companions stepped in with the three rogues that were badly injured, and the people applauded.
“The Alpha of the north region has proven himself worthy to be made king, so without a waste of time, we’ll go into the coronation.”
“Objection elder!” The Alpha of the south region stood up.
“The North region Alpha must have a mate or a woman who is ready to marry him before he is said to be worthy of being crowned.”
“That’s correct. Alpha Matias, do you have a woman who is willing to stay by your side?” The elder asked.
Matias smiled and uttered no word, he stretched his hand towards Jacinta, who in return took his hand, they both faced the congregation before he announced,
“This is my soon-to-be wife, Beautiful Lady Jacinta.”
The congregation applauded.
“Now, we’ll proceed with the coronation. Lady Jacinta, you can go back to your seat. Repeat after me, Alpha.”
“I swear solemnly with my life and with the witness of the creator of the universe and all of us present here that I Matias shall without any doubt fulfill my responsibility of protecting and guiding this kingdom. I swear to be a wall of defense around them, I’ll perform my kingly duties without any reservations. So help me, God.”
Matias repeated everything.
The head of the elders stood up and opened up a glass case that contained a crown that was made of the finest and most expensive gold.
He took out the crown and gracefully walked up to Matias before declaring,
“By the power vested on me as the head of the elders, I now pronounce you k….”
“That’s not possible!” A familiar manly voice roared throughout the hall, and they all turned to see the most impossible sight.
Jason exuded sophistication as he donned a finely tailored tuxedo in a deep midnight blue hue, accentuating his stature and commanding presence. The fabric was of the highest quality, draping immaculately over his broad shoulders and lean frame. The crisp white shirt underneath provided a striking contrast, emphasizing his chiseled jawline and strong features.
His hair was styled to perfection, sleek and perfectly coiffed, adding a touch of modern flair to his classic ensemble. Each strand seemed to fall effortlessly into place, framing his face with a touch of debonair charm. Not a hair out of place, it was evident that meticulous attention had been paid to every detail of his appearance.
As he walked into the room, all eyes turned to him, captivated by his undeniable allure and confident demeanor.
Soon the people came back to their senses and screamed in fright as they thought he was a ghost, but Jason didn’t mind and kept walking to the front.
“I Jason, the rightful heir to that throne still lives, so no one else can ascend it expect I.”
Susan was shocked and turned to look at Isabella, who in return smirked evilly at her.
Matias froze.
Jacinta peed on herself.
