Shattered

Book:The Wingless Fairy (The Alpha's Luna) Published:2024-6-3

Jason got an important call that two rogue wolves were hiding in a forest nearby, once it was night, they came out from their hiding place and molested young women.
Other packs have sent out selected members to capture the rogues, but they ended up getting badly injured by the rogues.
So they had no choice than to ask Jason and his pack members for help.
As expected, Jason chose his beta and gamma as his companions. He left the house after lunch to a secret place in the forest where meeting with his park were held.
Although, he never wanted to leave Ariella alone, he had to because it was a critical mission, but he secretly assigned a soldier whom he trusted to watch over his woman.
His beta and gamma were already there waiting for him before he got there. As close friends, they exchanged pleasantries and then got into business.
They strategized how they were going to capture the rogues, after which they waited in the forest for the time the rogues will appear.
At exactly eleven p. m, they rogues came out of their hiding place. Unknowingly to them, Jason and his companions were on a tree watching them keenly.
Jason and his companions let the rogues go into the kingdom, then followed them behind without them knowing.
The rogues got to the first house and made to forcefully enter when Jason and his companions jumped out from their hiding place and encircled them.
As tension filled the air, the rogues attentions were now on Jason and his men, their sneers were filled with disdain.
But Jason stood tall, exuding authority and determination. The rogues, emboldened by their ill-gotten power, lunged forward with mocking laughter and wicked intent. The companions flanked (stayed beside) Jason, ready to spring into action.
The clash was fierce and relentless. The rogues, skilled in the art of deception and subterfuge, fought with a cunning ferocity, attempting to exploit any weakness in the Alpha’s group. Yet, Alpha Jason and his companions, honed by years of training and a sense of duty, stood their ground with unyielding resolve.
Blows were exchanged, and the sounds of grunts and steel rang through the night. Alpha Jason, a paragon of strength, led the charge, inspiring his companions to match his unwavering courage. As the struggle raged on, the rogues found themselves facing a united front, their malicious intentions thwarted at every turn.
Finally, the rogues, overpowered and outmatched, crumpled under the collective might of Jason and his companions. With justice served, the Alpha and his group ensured the safety of the women and brought a swift end to the rogues’ reign of terror.
The kingdom fell silent once more, the only sounds the steady breaths of the victorious defenders and the grateful whispers of the women they had rescued, who had earlier watched the battle from their windows.
Jason and his companions led the two captives away.

It was almost the same time yesterday they had lunch and Jason wasn’t yet back. Ariella just got back from Daisy’s room. They’ve been together all day, but she wasn’t herself because it was almost a day, and she hasn’t seen Jason.
Ariella missed his presence around her and just wanted to see his face. She was already in love with him, although she never showed it around him.
Jason didn’t sleep at home last night. Was he with another woman?
Ariella frowned at that thought, she was going to kill him if she found out he went to meet someone else.
“Argh… What’s wrong with you, Ariel? You even want to kill him now?” Ariella scolded herself loudly.
It was now twenty-four hours since Ariella ate the fruit, and she began to feel strange. Ariella, who was seated on the edge of the bed, tried to stand up, but she fell hard on the floor.
She wanted to scream, but it felt like her voice was ceased. A strong pain hit her on the chest, and she held it, groaning in pains.
It felt so excruciating, she rolled on the floor and began to crawl to the door.
As she crawled to the door, blood began to drop from her nose. She was bleeding, was this now she was going to die? What was happening to her? Why was she feeling this whole pains?
She felt a great pain in her stomach, and then she began to cough out blood. Ariella saw her life flash before her eyes.
“Daisy….” Ariella whispered, everything began to blur around her, then she dropped dead.
Meanwhile, it was lunchtime already and a maid was sent to call out Daisy and Ariella. She knew the Alpha wasn’t around since he wasn’t seen all day.
The maid first went to Jason’s room and knocked, but there was no answer. She tried to push the door open, but it was locked.
Seeing the door was locked, the maid concluded that Ariella wasn’t in the room and might have gone out. The maid went to Daisy’s room and called her out for lunch.
Daisy felt strange when she got to the front of Jason’s room and Ariella wasn’t outside waiting for her. They usually went to the dinning together, Ariel always stood outside waiting for her to pass by so they’ll walk together.
“Where is Ariella?” Daisy asked the maid who was walking beside her while looking around as though she were searching for Ariella.
“I went to call her out, but the room was locked,” The maid replied and bowed.
“The room was locked?” Daisy thought within her, it felt so strange and dangerous. Since noon yesterday, Jason left the house for something important and hasn’t yet come back.
Or did he come back and Daisy didn’t know? Why was the door locked? Maybe Ariella wanted to be left alone. Or did Jason take Ariella out?
Oh, Ariella mentioned going sightseeing earlier to her.
Perhaps she has gone out to tour the environment.
Daisy shrugged, concluding that was the case, and she went to the dining alone.
“Where is Ariella?” Isabella asked immediately she saw Daisy alone descending from the stairs. These two girls were inseparable, it was her first time of not seeing them together.
“I am not sure, but it seems she went out to view the beautiful environment. It’s one of her hobby you know,” Daisy answered smiling.
Isabella smiled in response.
Isabella couldn’t help but notice that Daisy spoke like an adult who was about her age, but she looked so young, like a girl in her twenties.
But in reality, Daisy was a few years older than Isabella, but the gift of immortality she was blessed with made her looked young.
She aged backwards.
Silence ensued as they had lunch, but Daisy wasn’t comfortable. She sensed something was wrong, and she needed to see Ariella with her eyes to confirm she was safe.
Isabella got startled when Daisy abruptly stood up from the table and rushed out.
Daisy went out and began to ask the soldiers if they had seen Ariella around, and they all said no.
Daisy began to panic. She was finished if anything happened to Ariella.
Daisy went around the house searching for Ariella, she went to the garden, kitchen, toilets and many other places, but Ariella wasn’t there.
“I think Ariella is missing!” Daisy told Isabella yelling.
Isabella, who was now seated in the living room, stood up immediately.
“Missing? How?” Isabella was perplexed.
“I have searched everywhere in the house, but she’s nowhere to be found, I asked the soldiers, and they said they haven’t seen her outside today,” Daisy explained.
“Are you sure you’ve searched everywhere?” Isabella inquired.
Suddenly, Daisy remembered she has searched everywhere but Jason’s room.
“Do you have a spare key to Jason’s room?”
Isabella nodded and grabbed a bunch of key she had earlier placed on the chair she sat on.
They got to Jason’s room and Isabella slot in the key. The door opened, and they were met with a terrible sight.
Laying on the floor was Ariella covered in a pool of blood that had flowed from her mouth and nose.
“Ariella! No! You can’t do this to me. Please wake Ariella! I beg you,” Daisy rushed to Ariella and cried after checking her pulse and found she was dead.
Isabella legs felt so weak that she couldn’t even move.
Meanwhile, behind them, Jason stood in shock. He couldn’t utter a word. Lying dead was the woman he left in good condition.
“Ariella…” Jason whispered brokenly and stepped forward to where she laid in her pool of blood. His gaze locked with Daisy’s, and he felt how pained she was.
Unable to utter a word, Jason carried Ariella in a bridal style and left the room.
His eyes red.
His world shattered.
