Blood splashed on Jason’s face as he flogged him without mercy. He was tied to a bench, so he couldn’t even think of escaping. The whip Jason used on him had sharp thorns, each strike tore his skin badly and blood flowed.
“Who killed my woman” Jason asked again for the umpteenth time, yet, his reply was the same,
“Nobody came close to her, I swear.”
Jason got more infuriated and stepped on his wounded back before asking again,
“Who killed her?”
“I swear, Alpha, no one came close to her.”
Jason stared at him unbelievably, no one came close to Ariella, yet he came back and found her dead with the room locked.
Was he to believe the trash this soldier was spilling to him? This soldier had served him for years and never, for once, disappointed him, but seeing his woman dead after leaving her in his care made him suspicious of him.
Despite all the torture, he kept saying no one had contact with Ariella after breakfast with his mother and Daisy.
His mother wasn’t even capable of taking a life and, of course, Daisy he trusted her. Something was definitely wrong somewhere, and he was going to get to the root of it.
The doctor confirmed Ariella dead yesterday and since then, Jason lost every iota of sympathy he had in him. He was going to find those who hurt her and crush them.
Thank goodness, modernization was fast advancing, and the doctor could perform an autopsy to find out the cause of her death.
Jason looked at the man whose body he has wounded beyond recognition and said to the other soldier who was standing behind him,
“Throw him into the dungeon, let him rot there.”
Jason left to the hospital to collect the result of the autopsy.
Getting to the hospital, Jason went directly into the doctor’s office and barged into it without knocking.
“Where is the autopsy test?” Jason asked impatiently.
“It will be available in a few hours, Alpha,” The Doctor replied calmly. He already knew Jason wasn’t in the best of mood, and anyone who got on his nerve was a goner.
And he never knew Jason needed the result today, that was why he delayed it.
“Why are you all so incompetent? Just an autopsy test result and you can’t get it ready quickly.”
Jason left the doctor’s office angrily and sat outside waiting for the test result.
The doctor sent instructions to the laboratory to hasten up with the experiment.
Meanwhile, at Jason’s castle, Daisy sat staring at the ceiling, her eyes red and swollen from crying for days.
When she heard the confirmation of Ariella’s death from the doctor, she fainted.
Ariella, her favorite, was gone.
The prophecy failed.
That meant, those poor people who were waiting for someone to come save them in Fairy paradise had no more hope.
Ariella was gone.
Daisy felt the most terrible about it. Her friend, her companion, and everything was gone.
Something killed Ariella, and she was going to get to the root of it all, even if it meant her losing her life.
Isabella, on the other hand, couldn’t help but feel like she was the cause of Ariella’s death. No matter how much she tried to wave off the feelings, it kept coming.
She wasn’t really nice to Ariella from the start, and she felt bad about it.
Isabella wished she could turn back time and make her ways right, so at least Ariella could have happy memories of her in death.
****At the hospital****
“The doctor asked to see you sir,” A nurse politely told Jason and without a waste of time, he dashed into the doctor’s office.
“The result of the autopsy is out,” The doctor spoke, immediately Jason sat down.
“Hand it over to me!” Jason roared at the doctor. He was already impatient, he badly wanted to know the content of the result.
Without saying another word, the doctor took an envelope that was on his table and handed it over to Jason.
Jason’s face dropped even more when he saw the content of the test result. Poison?
How?
“Doctor, it states here that she died from a very deadly poison.” Jason spoke confused.
“Yes, she died from a poison that kills slowly. Normally, It takes twenty-four hours for the poison to start taking effect when consumed.”
And for the first time in his life, Jason’s body shook. Who killed Ariella? Why would any of the workers in his house want to kill her?
He was heartbroken, his world was shattered, but he was a man, and he was going to fight.
“Thank you doctor,” Jason stood up and made to leave, then he stopped before turning to the doctor,
“Please keep her body safe until I find out the culprit. The one who killed her deserves to be killed too.”

“I just got information concerning that stupid girl, she’s dead finally. You did well, my child,” Susan applauded Jacinta.
Jacinta couldn’t believe her ears, she was so excited. It wasn’t because she didn’t trust the effect of the poison, but she thought Ariella wasn’t going to eat the fruits.
This was a dream come true, finally the obstacle was out of the way. She was going to take advantage of this beautiful opportunity.
“Get changed, I want to take you somewhere,” Susan told her daughter, smiling so brightly.
Jacinta rushed into her room and changed into her one of her finest dresses.
Susan and her daughter drove out of the house. Jacinta kept staring at the unfamiliar route her mother took.
“Where are we going, mum?” Jacinta asked confused, but Susan just smiled and continued driving.
Jacinta kept questioning her mother, and her mother continued keeping her in suspense.
Finally, they got to a stunning two-storey building and parked there.
“Where is this mum?” Jacinta asked, but Susan still ignored her and came out of the car. Jacinta also came out.
“This is the house I built for you, it’s an inheritance from me to you, but you can only get it when you are married to Jason.”
“A house for me? ”
Jacinta couldn’t believe it.
“Thank you mum, I’ll do everything I can,” Jacinta stared in awe, the house was so charming, the structure and everything were just her taste.
Jacinta determined even more and more to marry Jason at all cost.
“Jacinta, get into the car, we need to visit Isabella’s house and sympathize with them,” Susan said sarcastically and Jacinta laughed, understanding what her mother meant.
They got into the car and drove to Isabella’s house with their evil intentions.
“Oh, mine, you must have cried a great deal,” Susan said to Isabella when she stepped into the living room and saw her seated with her eyes puffy.
Susan hugged Isabella and gently caressed her back, comforting her.
While Jacinta just greeted Isabella and headed to Daisy’s room.
Jacinta got to Daisy’s room, knocked, opened the door and went in without waiting for Daisy’s answer.
She wasn’t expecting Daisy to answer the door because Daisy must be in pain.
“Gracious Lord, this room looks like a mess!” Jacinta exclaimed when she saw how unkempt the room looked. She was irritated.
She saw a lot of food that was yet to be touched by Daisy, while Daisy was lying dejectedly on the floor.
“Oh, poor thing, come on, you need to eat.” Jacinta spoke pretentiously to Daisy and helped her up.
Daisy sat up but kept looking into the space without saying a word.
Jacinta carried a plate of food and made to feed Daisy, but Daisy refused to eat.
Jacinta kept trying until Daisy budged and began to eat.
****Meanwhile, at the hospital****
In the morgue where her body was placed, Ariella opened her eyes.
It was an unfamiliar place to her, she turned and saw that no one was there and the place was so cold. There was ice everywhere, Ariella was frightened.
She was freezing.
She stood up from where she laid.
At the same moment, the morgue attendant entered the cold room and became afraid when he saw her standing.
He moved back and held his chest in shock.
