Jacinta visited Isabella carrying a basket that contained fruits, but that basket wasn’t for Isabella.
It was for Ariella, after accusing Ariella that day, Jacinta decided to come apologize to her.
But Jacinta had an ulterior motive. She came to claim her life. It was time to get Ariella out of the picture, and this was the safest means of doing it.
The fruits in the basket were poisoned, and the kind of poison used wasn’t the one that took effect immediately. It could take up to twenty-four hours before killing the person.
So if Ariella ate the fruit, she wasn’t going to die immediately but after a day she’ll die of poison and no one would be able to trace it to her, Jacinta.
“Hello, my darling,” Isabella greeted and opened her hands wide for a hug, and Jacinta embraced her…
“Those fruits looks so fresh, you brought them for me?” Isabella asked, salivating when she saw how fresh looking the fruits were.
“Sorry, but they are not for you today. I brought it for Ariella. After accusing her that day, I thought of it right to apologize to her. What do you think?”
“That’s a good one. You really have a beautiful heart, my dear,” Isabella praised, not knowing her evil intentions.
“But before then, I was just about to send some maids to call everyone out for lunch. So please sit down at the dinning. After lunch, you can apologize to her.” Isabella suggested, Jacinta nodded and went to sit obediently.
Ariella descended from the stairs with Jason behind her. Everyone’s world stopped, including that of Jacinta and Isabella when they saw her.
Ariella looked so breathtaking. No, scratch that, breathtaking was an understatement. She looked like an angel that fell from heaven.
Daisy wasn’t left out too, she also looked dashing, but her beauty couldn’t be compared to that of Ariella.
Ariella had a serene and graceful presence, moving with a natural elegance. Her hair, adorned with delicate petals, added an enchanting and whimsical quality to her appearance.
The sleeveless, short green gown she wore complemented her connection to the natural world, giving her the air of an otherworldly being, both serene and alluring.
“Where did you get those petals on your hair from?” Isabella didn’t know when she asked that.
Those petals were rare to find and also among the beautiful petals ever known. How did Ariella get those petals?
Daisy giggled at Isabella astonishment, it wasn’t unexpected. Those petals on Ariella’s hair were one of a kind and couldn’t be found just anywhere.
“Please, I need to get some for myself. Where did you buy it from?”
Jason already knew Ariella was a flower fairy, it was in his presence she decorated her hair today. Even years ago, when he first met her in the forest, she had petals on her hair.
His woman looked so alluring today, and the urge to have her all to himself became stronger.
The way his soldiers around the house looked admiringly at Ariella got him so upset. They wore helmets, but he could still sense their eyes on her.
“Stop staring at her and focus on your duty!” Jason roared and they all composed themselves.
Jacinta couldn’t get her eyes off Ariella. Jason undeniably had good eyes to have chosen Ariel. She was beautiful beyond comprehension, Jacinta couldn’t help but admit that Ariella was more beautiful than her.
Jacinta’s eyes were on Ariella until she sat down. Her Jealousy and anger towards Ariella grew even deeper.
Isabella felt ignored, but it did not offend her. She had wronged Ariella severally, so it was likely of her not to tell her where she got the petals from.
Suddenly, Ariella began to create a petal crown magically on the dinning, not minding the presence of people that were there.
Her hands glowed as she magically created it, Isabella and Jacinta looked confusingly, wondering what was going on.
Jason gaze met that of his mother. Her eyes were questioning him, but he only shrugged in response.
Finally, a beautiful petal crown was made and Isabella’s eyes widen in shock. So those petals were Magically made.
Ariella, who was seated close to Isabella, stood up and respectfully placed the crown on her head before saying,
“I am a Flower Fairy, you can also call me a plant fairy. I can make flowers bloom, plants grow and magically create them.”
“Also, that petal crown can never wither,” Ariella added before sitting down again.
Isabella loved the crown placed on her hair. She was definitely going to keep it, but she always thought Ariella was human while Daisy was a fairy. So if Ariella was a fairy, where were her wings?
“Where are your wings?” Jacinta curiously asked, like she knew Isabella’s mind. If Ariella was a fairy, then it was only right that she had wings.
Ariella who already expected the question smiled before answering in an unexpected manner,
“My wings are intact, they are inside me. They are just not visible to others except me.”
Jacinta only nodded and smiled, even though she wasn’t satisfied with the answer.
The food was served, and they all ate in silence.
*****
Ariella and Daisy were conversing as the walked through the hallway while Jason was behind them acting as a shield over his mate.
You never can tell, an enemy could be lurking around and laying in wait for the right opportunity to strike, and they already knew that Ariella was his weakness.
They heard the footsteps of someone running behind them, and they turned at the same time, only to see Jacinta running towards them, carrying a basket that contained fruits.
They all stopped in their tracks, wondering why she was running. Who was chasing her?
Jacinta breathed heavily when she got close to them.
“Ariel,” She called out still breathing hard trying to move close to Ariella, but Jason stood in her way, preventing her from moving closer. Jason looked at her angrily.
“Please, I just want to talk to her. I came with no evil intent, please,” Jacinta begged softly and dropped the basket she held beside her.
“It’s okay, let her say what she wants to say,” Ariella pleaded behind Jason and Jacinta saw Jason’s eyes turn soft.
That hurt her, Jason, who never listened to anyone, now listens to Ariella. Jacinta was jealous, but that wasn’t her aim here. She had to ignore any emotion she felt and carry out her mission.
“I came to say sorry for the other time. Forgive me. I accused you wrongly and even made you cry. Please forgive me, I lost my peace since that day,” Jacinta pleaded and fell to the floor, holding Ariella legs.
Jacinta felt so humiliated kneeling before this nobody.
Jason’s eyes widened in shock, was Jacinta for real? The Jacinta he knew never apologized, talk more of falling to the floor. It was really unlike her.
Jason was confused, he sensed sincerity in her apology, but something felt really off.
“It’s okay, I already forgave you since that day. So be at peace with yourself, I hold nothing against you.”
Ariella helped Jacinta up, dusted her dress, and then made to leave when Jacinta’s next word stopped her.
“Please accept this basket of fruits to show you’ve truly forgiven me, it’s from my heart,” Jacinta held out the basket of fruits to Ariella.
Ariella looked at Daisy for approval, and Daisy nodded before she accepted the basket.
“Thank you,” Ariella appreciated before turning to leave.
As they left, Jacinta smiled triumphantly. It’s just about to go down, and she couldn’t wait for the news of Ariella’s death.
Whether Ariel was a fairy or not, she’ll still die.
Ariella offered Daisy some fruits, but she declined, saying she felt really full after eating much food for lunch.
Meanwhile, Jason left them after escorting his mate to the door of his room, saying he needed to attend to something important.
Ariella got to the room, took an apple out of the basket and took a bite.
The apple tasted a little different from how she knew apple tasted, but Ariella shrugged, thinking it was only different because of the different soils used in planting it.
Of course, she didn’t expect the apple to taste the same as the ones in her kingdom.
She kept on chewing, not knowing that a strong but slow poison has found it way into her body.
