“You know where the bracelet is?” Beatrice asked as the feeling of excitement began to grow in her.
But then she stopped and looked at the maid suspiciously,
“How come you knew all along, and you are just telling me now?”
The maid began to shake visibly, she had always known who had the bracelet, but there were two reasons she didn’t speak out. Firstly, she wanted Tracy to see hell; Tracy treated her terribly when she was still a princess, and she thought it was satisfying to see Tracy go through the hell she put others through.
Secondly, she was afraid of Beatrice. Beatrice was ruthless and never cared about anyone, a little mistake could get her killed, so she had to search for the perfect opportunity to tell Beatrice.
She wanted to be promoted, It was time for her to step into a higher rank. She was going to tell Beatrice who the bracelet was with, in exchange for being promoted.
“Answer me!” Beatrice roared and startled her.
“You want to deceive me, right? Don’t you know how deadly it is to deceive me?”
Beatrice wasn’t convinced at all. The maid said she knew where the bracelet was, yet she kept mute all this while.
Could it be that the was searching for the perfect opportunity to tell her about the bracelet, or the maid had an ulterior motive?
“I am saying the truth, mistress,” the maid pleaded shakily. She was done for, it seemed as though Beatrice didn’t believe her. What will she do?
Beatrice grabbed her hair from behind and whispered,
“I’ll kill you if it turns out that you lied to me. Now tell me who has the bracelet.”
“Princess Ariella has it,” the maid dropped the bombshell, and Beatrice’s eyes widened.
The day Sabastine gave Ariella the bracelet, the maid happened to be the one who came to serve the king his meal. But the maid never thought ill of Ariella, to harm her in any way.
It was not until Beatrice began to look at the bracelet that she realized it was a very sacred bracelet that held many powers. It will be a nice thing to be promoted and become a bit close to Beatrice. The maid wanted to be recognized and respected.
Beatrice smirked evilly, so Ariella had the bracelet and here she was searching all the nook and cranny of the kingdom.
But why was Ariella having the bracelet?
The bracelet was only meant for the firstborn children who were heirs to the throne. No wonder, Tracy complained bitterly about Ariella trying to steal the spotlight from her.
So Tracy was right all along that her sister was selfish and wanted everything for herself.
The annoying thing was that, Tracy, despite what her sister had done to her, tried to protect her even when it meant her going through pains, If it were to be her Beatrice, she would never forgive her sister. She would make sure, she shredded her into pieces.
Finding Ariella was going to be a bit difficult because the direction she escaped to wasn’t known, and also she was definitely not going to be alive.
The sword used to cut off her wings, was a sword that had the dragon breath on it, so there was no way she could survive that deep and painful removal of her wings. Ariella was going to bleed to death.
“Are you sure of what you just told me?” Beatrice inquired as she walked around the maid.
“Yea, my Queen,” the maid bowed.
“You’ve done well my child, what do you want as a reward, ask anything, it’ll be done.”
The maid was thrilled. Things were going as she planned and it made her excited. The moment she had long awaited has finally come, and soon she was going to be promoted.
“I want to become your personal and maid who tends to you alone. Please promote me.”
Beatrice smirked evilly. Wait! This foolish maid had quite an interesting audacity. Personal maid? The only person could personally tend to her was Agnes.
Beatrice knew how much the people wanted her dead. The maid could be a pawn in the people’s hand. She wasn’t taking a chance with her life. She was going to shut the maid up for life.
Beatrice grabbed the maid’s jaw firmly, making the maid look into her eyes. The maid smiled lightly, thinking Beatrice was about to give her conditions to keep when she becomes her personal maid.
Beatrice’s eyes turned into red and the maid began to scream as she looked directly into Beatrice’s eyes. The maid saw things that were scary and struggled to escape, but Beatrice’s grip on her jaw tightened , making her unable to escape.
The maid’s face became veiny then she gave up the ghost.
“Take her body out,” Beatrice ordered after letting go of the maid’s jaw. The body fell on the floor and made a thud.
Beatrice walked hastily into her room. She was going to use her mirror to track Ariella. If Ariella was dead, the mirror will show her remains and if she was alive, the mirror will reveal her and the location she ran to.
Beatrice could have sent the soldiers to search for Ariella, but it was going to take time, the mirror was faster and even more efficient.
Beatrice on her way to the room was humming happily. What she sorted for in vain for a long time, finally came to her easily.
“Ariel, I am coming for you.”
“Mirror! Mirror!! Show me where Ariella is,” Beatrice spoke, but the mirror remained blank. Beatrice tried about three times again, yet the same thing happened.
Beatrice was shocked, the mirror had never done that before. Could it be that it was acting like that because she hadn’t used it in a long time?
“I summon you Ariella, appear now!” Beatrice roared and the mirror showed. The mirror kept moving and showing pathways in a deep forest.
Beatrice anticipated her discovery excitedly, but suddenly the mirror went off. Beatrice became even more shocked when the mirror turned off.
It suddenly dawned on Beatrice that a strong spell could be protecting Ariella’s body. The first day she met Ariella, she sensed a strong and unusual power around her.
Beatrice began to chant, this was a war, and she was going to win, no matter what.
The mirror suddenly revealed the pathway that led to where Ariella was.
Beatrice gasped when a tent was revealed. Was Ariella still alive?
Beatrice’s heart kept beating in anticipation.
The mirror finally revealed the inside of the tent with Ariella’s peaceful sleeping face.
No way!
How was Ariella alive?
“I summon your spirit now Ariella, you shall do only as I say and command. Now arise and begin to come to back to Fairy paradise!”
Beatrice was annoyed after discovering Ariella was still alive.
Ariella was shown struggling in her sleep.
Beatrice laughed evilly, regardless of where Ariella goes, she could always summon her. Nobody has ever escaped her summoning spell.
“Paaaaah!” a sound distorted Beatrice bliss.
It was her mirror that made that sound. Beatrice was taken aback.
Her mirror broke again!
Beatrice laughed and chanted a spell that’ll make the mirror whole again, but nothing happened. Beatrice tried again and yet same result.
It suddenly dawned on her that her mirror was broken in an unrepairable way.
“Nooooooo!” Beatrice screamed.
