“A-are you seriously g-going to do that?” Luna stuttered while asking Maximus. Maximus did not respond. He just kept quiet while looking at the window.
Luna felt something in his heart that she cannot understand. Someone already left her before and that was Shawn. Her ex-lover.
“It is alright, I am used to it… anyway. Remember Shawn did it, so the second time is alright—-
Luna did not finish her sentence when Maximus suddenly grabbed her hand and pulled her towards his chest. He embraced Luna.
Luna was surprised. She could not move. Her body did not respond to what she wanted, so he let Maximus hugged her.
“I am sorry…” Maximus whispered in a calm tone.
Maximus felt guilty. He forgot that he promised her that he will not let Luna get hurt or suffer. What did he do just now?
Luna closed her eyes. She is having a lot of thoughts about being left alone. She did not know that she fell asleep in Maximus’s arm. She was tired of working and she did not have enough sleep when she started working at the hospital.
Maximus put her into his bed and let her sleep. He watched her sleep and started to admire once again her beauty. Luna was at peace when she slept. It was like she does not carry any problem with her. Maximus put her hair that covers her face behind her ear.
He unintentionally touched her face. He felt her skin was so soft and smooth. He stopped and pulled his hand away from her face. He felt like there was a spark when their skin touched each other.
What was that? He thought.
When Luna woke up, she found herself in bed. She looked at her wristwatch and saw that it was already late. She immediately got up and looked around. She stopped when she saw Maximus sleeping on the couch. She got out of bed and walked towards Maximus.
What has she done? She is a doctor. She should not sleep when there is a patient that needs to be taken care of.
Am I being doted again? Luna thought and sighed because of Maximus.
“Maximus… Maximus… wake up” Luna woke him up who was sleeping on the couch.
Maximus slowly opened his eyes. He saw Luna beside him, waking him up. He blinked, then realized that he was not on his bed.
“Why did you not wake me up?” Luna asked.
“Because you are tired. You need to rest further, so go back to sleep. I will wake you up when you already got enough sleep” Maximus said then he went back to sleep.
“No, go to bed Maximus. I am going home now. There are a lot of things I need to do at Doctor Reyes’s office” Luna said.
“Then, let my assistant send you home,” Maximus said.
“No… no need, I am fine. I will take a cab” She smiled forcefully.
“Okay, perhaps a kiss will do?” Maximus suggested.
“Fine” Luna was about to kiss Maximus when she realized what he said. She stopped and suddenly blushed. She felt embarrassed.
“Wait, what!? Want my fist to kiss you?” She threatened him.
Maximus laughed, then she laughed because of his laugh.

Inside the coffee shop, there was Sally and the woman she hated, Liza. After Sally’s shift, she called Liza to meet up. Liza asked her to meet her at the nearest coffee shop at the hospital.
Sally immediately saw Liza sitting pretty in the VIP room of the coffee shop when she arrived. She was guided by one of the staff inside and took their orders.
She saw how Liza looked at her and smiled like a crazy person. They wait for their orders before they talk about the important information that Sally’s discovered at the VIP ward.
Liza took a sip of her coffee before asking Sally.
“So… Sally. Tell me about what you learned” Liza directly asked with a serious look.
Before Sally answered her question, she thought first about the two-person she saw earlier. She suddenly thought of the scary face of the man and her friend, Luna. What if Liza would do something to her friend if she revealed that Luna was the nurse who was currently taking care of the patient inside the VIP ward? Will, she hurt her friend? She cannot let Liza hurt her friend.
“I have discovered that the patient inside the VIP ward was a man and not a woman. Doctor Reyes said that he was an important friend of Lucas’s family so the hospital cannot reveal him” She said while looking into the eyes of Liza.
“Oh… So… what about the doctor, then?” Liza asked while tapping the table. The sound of the tapping fingers can be heard inside the whole VIP room of the coffee shop.
“I-it was me,” Sally said. She quickly avoided her gaze and looked at the ground.
“You? How come it is you? I thought it was someone I know!” Liza said with a disappointed and loud tone.
Someone, she knows. Was it Luna? Sally gulped at the thought of Liza might know who is already taking care of the patient. Did Liza know that she lied?
Sally felt nervous when she saw the suspicious looks that Liza gave her. She cannot move. She felt stiff at her gaze.
“Hmmm. Enough talk. I already had an idea of what to do. Watch out for it. And…” She slowly moved her face against Sally’s face” you better support my plan, or I will fire you” Liza stood up and put down an envelope in front of her. She really left Sally scared and nervous for her and her family’s life.
She already knew what was inside the envelope, it was money. Last time, she received money from her. Receiving money from Liza means that she did her job well.
Liza left the coffee shop while Sally was still inside the VIP room with a sweaty feeling and worried look because of the tension she felt a while ago. Sally was thinking of Liza’s plan.
“What is she planning to do with Luna?”, she said in a low tone volume.
Somehow, she feels that there is about to happen, but she does not have any idea what could it be.
