You’re Pregnant?
XANDRY
Last night, Saph and Sunshine confirmed Blaine went to my apartment to see me. Undoubtedly, she knew everything about me, and Sunshine was having a baby.
I spent several minutes back in my office bemoaning her loss, it only told me one thing, she didn’t want me, but Saph made me not give up. Until I saw what was in her eyes today. The way Blaine looked at me, I knew she cared —her eyes filled with surprise and longing, then suddenly replaced with sadness.
The motherfucker Ethan Hall caught me off guard when his hand gripping Blaine’s waist. I knew he did it on purpose. Just the thought of what he did to Blaine during her pregnancy, all I cared about was to punch and end him. I completely lost control and there was no way I let him take Blaine away from me.
She. Is. Mine.
How did I miss the sign? The way he looked at me back at the Night Stalker, of what he said? Did they really— I pushed the thought out of my head because it was already driving me mad.
It had been thirty minutes, but it felt like I’d been here thirty hours in this filthy holding cell. I came willingly since the officer was kind. And now, Saph thought I and Blaine got back together. I wished that was what happened. Not like this.
Breathing deeply, I placed the ice pack back on my aching and bruised face where that motherfucker punched me. Thankfully, I didn’t need another surgery like how Pyke did damage to my nose.
While in my deep thoughts, I heard footsteps approaching, then her soft voice. And I almost fell down from the concrete bench where I lied down. Before I could decipher, I was already in front of her with only steel bars separating us.
Blaine looked like she’d been crying. Did he hurt her? My teeth gritted with anger.
“Are you okay?” she whispered.
I looked into her eyes. I held the bars and leaned my forehead. “I’ll be fine, sweetheart.”
“Why did you come, Xandry?” Her words were laced with pain and curiosity. At least she wasn’t angry anymore.
“Because I don’t follow rules, threat, and I can’t fucking accept that you broke up with me over the fucking phone.” I kept my eyes pin at hers and I swore I saw her eyes sparkle.
“It seems that you don’t.”
“Fuck yeah.”
“Xandry, there is a lot of things you don’t know—”
“Clearly, sweetheart. The fact that Ethan fucking Hall was Ben’s dad caught me off guard, and you took him back after—”
“I didn’t.”
“But?”
She shook her head, finding it hard to form words, and it made me want to blow the bar off that separated us.
“Please tell me it’s true, Blaine,” I begged and I would do everything just to find the truth on why she broke up with me and how did Ethan end up here.
“Ethan is Ben’s dad, that’s right,” she confirmed, and I found my fucking bloody fingers on my hair, pulling it out to know if I was having a nightmare because I wanted to wake up, but this was real.
“How come I didn’t hear anyone and you mentioned him?”
“Because we chose not to, for the sake of Ben.” She shrugged.
“What is this? Like he who must not be named? Then why did you break up with me if you’re not back together? I need to know the reason, Blaine. I deserve it.” I looked at her in the eyes, and she looked down.
I slipped my hands out and caught her hands. The moment I felt her warm and soft hands, my pain washed away. She was like my heroin—so addicting. Call me whipped, I don’t give a fuck. My body just came back from death—that was how her touch affected me.
“Blaine,” I called again, and she lifted her gaze up to me. “I know you know about Sunshine. That’s why I’m here.” I wished I knew what she was thinking.
Blaine bit her lower lip, and I couldn’t help my muscle not to tighten because I missed how her lips were on my skin.
“I swear to God, I never knew I had unprotected sex with her. I know this is inappropriate to talk about it right now, but this might be my only chance and I fucking grab it. I went to her apartment after I had a fight with Pyke. We got drunk then it happened, I asked but she denied until—”
“I’m not judging you.”
“You saw my latest test, Blaine. I’m clean.”
“I’m not worried about it.”
“That’s why I didn’t tell you about this, and I know I’m a coward and I don’t wanna lose you, Blaine. But it seems that you…” I swallowed hard. My heart just bled out “I just, I can’t. You mean so much to me, God knows how much, but… Sunshine has nowhere to go.”
“I know, Xandry. I talked to her.”
“But you can’t accept me with a kid,” I bluntly told her.
She blinked her tears-filled eyes, shaking her head. “No, Xandry. I was so proud of you for taking responsibility for your child. I never see that in you, I underestimated you and clearly, I don’t know you well and I admire you for that.”
“Then what’s wrong?” I breathed deeply. My energy drained a long time ago. I couldn’t believe this was so hard confronting her. I had to respect her decisions no matter how hard and how it was going to hurt me, but on the second thought, I couldn’t just let her go without doing everything to win her back.
“If you think because we are having a baby and we will be going to stay together, you’re wrong there. I will remain a friend to her because she is the mother of my child. Even now, I never kiss or touch her. We only see each other when I check up on her because you know she’s sick. I go with her to her appointment because that’s the right thing to do. We don’t have a connection like we have, Blaine. I don’t wanna touch, kiss, or hold another woman than you. I only want to be with you, inside you, and no one else.”
She gasped and her pupils slightly dilated, and my cock started to harden even in this fucking cell.
“Believe me, Blaine. I never had sex or touched myself since I left you that morning. Look at me,” I told her, and she complied. “Do I look like I care about sex when I can’t even fucking take care of myself? So tell me why? Don’t I deserve to know, sweetheart? If it’s because of Sunshine, she is not a threat, trust me. She won’t be staying in my apartment after she gives birth. I have full custody of my child, and she will continue her college as I promised. I’ll be paying her bills until she finishes school. She will have her time of visits and has her right as my child’s mother. But that’s all. We can’t be together as a couple because my heart already belongs to someone, Blaine.” I wiped her tears as she sobbed. I wanted to pull her into my arms and hug her tightly, but we were in the station for damn’s sake.
“I can’t be with you, Xandry. I’m so sorry.” Her voice cracked. She pulled her hands away from my grip, and my heart just shattered. A sharp knife stabbed into my heart. A cannonball of emotions settled on my gut. Sadness, loss, ache, and anger to myself.
“Oh, my God! Blaine?” My sister yelled the moment she saw her. Despite being heartbroken, I felt relief she was here.
“Saph, what are you doing here?” The looked on her face alone, she was totally surprised that my sister was in town.
They hugged each other while I was still trapped inside. “Oh, my, brother! When Riley called I wasn’t expecting to see your face beaten up, now nobody believes we are twins, Alexander Henry.” She laughed hysterically, making me roll my eyes.
“I’m locked up, Saph, can’t you see?” I gestured my hands in between bars.
“Well, we agreed to talk to Blaine and not to beat up Ethan freaking Hall. And don’t worry, Rexwell is on it now. Just watch out for what will happen,” she said proudly.
“Wait, your boyfriend is here?” Blaine asked with wide eyes.
“Yes, we had his jet.”
“Oh, of course, rich people do that a lot.”

Harrises invited us to have a late lunch with them at the restaurant after my release. Sean threatened Hall that he wouldn’t be able to find any job if he wouldn’t drop the complaint. I punched him once for blackmailing Blaine. After deleting the videos, Sean broke it and stomped it on the floor until he was satisfied.
“If he will come to you again, let me know,” Sean simply said to Blaine.
“Thanks for the concern, but we can manage to solve our own problems, son. This thing will not have happened if Blaine didn’t keep it from us. We knew he was back to town, but I never thought he had the gut to see Blaine again,” Bob explained.
“He won’t dare set a foot into our land if he doesn’t want a hole in his chest. This time I won’t hold back.” Riley still looked pissed, muscles flexed on his arms.
“I agree and I still can’t believe he’s, well, he is Ethan Ass-hall.” I glanced at Blaine.
“He’s still Ben’s father.”
“By DNA. The last time I checked he never cared, not even a dot,” Riley countered.
“Man, congrats, Xandry! You’re gonna be a dad,” said Sean.
“You’re pregnant?” the Harrises’ eyes bulged, pinning at Blaine.
“No!”
They all sighed. “Oh, thank God, because I’m gonna break someone’s jaw.” Riley gritted his teeth, eyeing me with intensity.
“I knocked up someone,” I told truthfully, “before I met Blaine.” Everyone went silent with my confirmation. All my guilt had been thrown out of the window. I released a breath when they looked at me without judgment in their eyes.
“Congrats, son!” Bob started, “You’ll gonna be a good dad, Xandry. I saw how you are with Ben.”Yeah, but your daughter doesn’t like me anymore.

We had to leave the town as we didn’t want dad to find out about our escape. I didn’t get a chance to talk to Ben, and it made me sad. Sean’s private jet was already waiting for me at the tarmac, but I wanted this last chance to talk to Blaine.
“They’re waiting for you,” she said shyly.
“Don’t care. Don’t I even get a kiss? Give us a chance, Blaine,” I suggested stubbornly.
She smiled—a genuine one. “We’re friends, Xandry.”
“If you mean friends we can kiss, touch, um, can be both naked on my bed—”
She playfully slapped my arms. “Friends.”
“Then we’ll see after my baby is born, but we keep in touch, right? Like we talk every day, video call, text, chat, e-mail, and I can still visit you every week?”
“My God, Xandry, you’re unbelievable!” She laughed, propping her hands on her hips.
“Just kiss already! We have a flight waiting!” Saph yelled from the jet’s door.
Blaine opened her arms. “Come here.”
I happily wrapped my arms around her tightly. And God, if this was the best feeling in the world after what happened earlier, my worries were all gone. I dipped my face into the crook of her neck, kissed it, and inhaled her smell because there was no guarantee if I got a chance to do this with her again.
