I desperately wanted to go out, I told delvin and he understood. He held my hand and I was relieved by fresh air in my life.
“Are you okay?” His voice was filled with concern about my hastily urge to leave the room.
“Yeah’ yeah! Iam fine, just that I Don’t do party”. I smiled.
Oh! He chuckled. “You will get used to it, as far as you’re with me”
I laughed.
We were enjoying each other company outside while the others were dancing and shouting inside when I saw a red Toyota Camry drove in, I looked further through the dim party light and saw Lexy and Anita coming out of the car.
Sweat broke out of my forehead, my heart started beating rapidly.
“Let’s get out of here delvin”, I said quietly while holding his hand.
“To where?” He asked turning to look at Lexy and Anita talking and smilling at eachother.
“Inside! anywhere! Delvin Please”, I begged.
“No! We are not going anywhere, we will stay here”.
“… why are you always running away? Stop it Kelz”. He told me sternly, he was getting irritated at my constant habit of running away anytime I set my eyes on Lexy.
I gulped.
“Is that a new name for me?” I looked intensely at him.
“What?” He asked, He still looking at Anita and Lexy kissing which i had ignored.
“You called me Kelz, is that my new name now?” I asked again, this time smiling sheepishly.
He smiled, “yes’ I will be the only one calling you that” he said placing his hand curled round my shoulder.
I smiled back and my eyes met Lexy looking at our direction, with his gaze on delvin hands round my shoulder.
“Do you like the name?” He grinned.
“I don’t like it, I love it!” I smiled sweetly to him.
I hugged him and saw Lexy arms crossed with his jaw harden and eyes filled with anger resting on his car looking at us while waiting for Anita who was busy making up.
Serves him right!
I smirked and hugged delvin tighter.
We went back to Join others In the party, everyone present had their dance partners with them.
Delvin held my hands and told me to dance with him, I was shy at first, not wanting to draw attention to myself.
At the far end corner I saw Lexy looking at us with an undescribable facial expression,
“what’s with him?” I wondered, while starting to dance with delvin.
And “Why is he not having fun with his girlfriend he came with?” I wondered, Swaying my hip to the beat of the music with Delvin right behind me.
Our eyes met, wait was he throwing daggers at me or at delvin? I turned to delvin who was smilling lovingly at me.
“You have to stop looking at him kelsi, you have to ignore and pretend he is not here” I instructed myself firmly focusing all my attention on Delvin.
I returned his smile and continued dancing moving closer to him, I was having fun when someone pushed me and I tripped over delvin who quickly held my shoulder for support.
I turned and saw Anita walking not even looking back, I swore under my breath.
” What happened? Are you okay?” Delvin was concerned as he helped me stand to my feet.
“Yeah Iam fine, I want to go out”.
He nodded.
Rita came in and joined him.
I needed fresh air the moment Anita aroused my anger, I came here to have fun not to spoil the party! I won’t give her any chance to ruin the fun iam having.
Why is she a nusiance?
Was it because Lexy hasn’t been giving her his attention when they entered the room?
Or was it because his eyes were following every of my movement?
I turned to go back in when I saw Lexy looking at me with his hands in his pocket.
He was damn hot this night, with his body fitted shirt and jeans.
“What is he doing here?” I wonder looking around.
“Are you stalking me Kelsi?” His voice was laced with mockery.
“Stalk you? Why should I do that?” I scoffed
“Why are you here then?” He smirked.
“I needed fresh air that’s why I came here”, I walked pass him heading to the party.
What then are you doing here? I chuckled or you are the stalker? I halted and turned to him with a devilish smile on my face.
He laughed showing off his perfect teeth and dimples that made my knees weak.
“Do you want me to always stalk you? Huh?
He chuckled, “… do you really want that Kelsi?”
I exhaled.
“Lexy I need to go in there, it was nice talking to you”, I turned and was about leaving when he quickly grabbed me by the shoulder and pinned me to the wall, my eyes opened wide with shock.
“What are you doing?” Tingles shot up in my thigh as our skin made contact.
He smirked.
“You are stalking me, but you lied.
Why?….. Are you not having fun with your boyfriend?” He asked smirked, looking more handsome.
“Lexy let me go now!” I tried to avoid his intense gaze.
“Or what? Or what Kelsi?” He asked drawing closer to me with his face so close to mine.
“Where is your boyfriend? Huh?” He edge closer.
“Why do you care?
Where is your girlfriend?” I fired back at him
“Is he really your boyfriend? Or he is just there talking advantage of you”. He asked cocking his head to the other side.
I chuckled.
“That’s none of your business Lexy” I replied angrily trying to release my hand from his grip.
He held tighter.
“You are my business Kelsi, I need to know everything about you”
