“Has he kissed you? His hot gaze held mine, captivating me totally as he kept asking me numerous questions.
He closed his eyes and exhaled, “God damnit! Kelsi, tell me “who he is delvin to you?”
His forehead was resting on mine, as his warm breath fanned my face.
I was taken aback by his questions and interest about what is going on with delvin and I.
“He’s my friend! We are just friends Lexy, will you let me go now” i told him, while trying to get myself together.
Instantly his lip came crushing on mine, he kissed me with so much passion, deep, slow and slightly forceful.
I gasped which gave him full entrance into my mouth.
He held my waist to put me in place and deepen his kiss.
I was shocked. What’s he doing? My brain became blank that moment, I returned the kiss with thesame passion.
Kissing Lexy again, was something I never expected tonight, I knew he hated me but I don’t care this moment.
“Kelsi Where are…….”
Delvin? Delvin saw us!
He saw Lexy and I kissing after I promised to come in later and dance with him.
We broke the kiss looking at delvin’s shocked face that masked with ours.
“Kelz?” His face fell, I could see the hurt in his eyes as he looked at us.
“Delvin!” I blurted out, feeling ashamed of myself.
He looked at me then to Lexy then to me….
“What are you doing with him?” His eyes held pains that made my heart sank.
Turning to Lexy, “what are you doing? Who the hell gave you the right to kiss her? Who?” Delvin screamed hitting Lexy hard on his face.
“My God! Kelsi how could you?!…” His hands rubbed his neck
“…. Why? Why? Why?” He screamed at me.
“I….. I”, I tried explaining, hot tears rushed out of my eyes, Delvin raise his hand cutting me off, shook his head turned and walked away.
I turned to look at Lexy who did not even move smirking.
“What did you just do?” I eyed him suspiciously.
“What do you expect?” He shrugged, looking at me.
“I know you are Inlove with me kelsi, and you’ve always wanted me to kiss you again, so I sent someone to call delvin to come look for you, to see the cheap bitch you really are” He smiled devilishly.
“What? How could you?” I screamed at him, tears rushing freely down my face, my throat dried instantly, voice was cracked, that moment I felt pains like never before, I had betrayed my only friend who stood up for me when everyone else didn’t, the only person in school who didn’t look down on my status but took me as his own.
Anger surge through me.
“Have fun Kelsi”, he turned and walked away, leaving me helpless and confused.
God! Delvin!” I closed my eyes and slumped to my knees, crying my eyes out.
I quickly rushed in to apologize to delvin, I looked around and couldn’t find him anywhere.
“Where did he go to?” I thought aloud as my eyes scanned everywhere carefully.
I tried to walk through the crowd looking for him, almost everyone in the party were drunk and filled with sweat.
I saw Rita at the far end corner with her hands crossed looking at me, I felt ashamed of myself.
“Rita’ I……. “She raised her hand cutting me off immediately.
“What delvin told me……”she exhaled “… tell me it’s not true Kelsi”. Her voice was filled with anger as she eyed me waiting for my reply.
I could not make up anything to justify my mistake, I knew I deserve any form of unusal behavior from them, I did the mistake. I thought the best thing to do that moment was to apologise.
“Iam sorry Rita” I could barely recognize my voice as I blurted out my apology making everything awkward
She scoffed, “How could you Kelsi? “How could you?! Her hands fell to her sides as she shook her head.
” Why…….. Why did you let him kiss you?”
“Why did you let someone who hated you and didn’t hide it kiss you just like that?” She gesture with her hands.
“It wasn’t my fault Rita”, I tried to explain because that moment I was ready to take all the blame.
“You hurt delvin! You betrayed him!” You betrayed our friendship! She almost screamed as I closed my eyes praying our argument would not attract the attention of others in the party, because that would be a mess.
“You know what? Whatever Lexy has done to you, serves you right!” ” You deserve all the hurt and shame” rita turned her back against me, I knew how bad she felt.
Tears welled my eyes, I was speechless because everything she said was the truth, I have proved my foolishness over and over again.
“Please here me out Rita”, I tried again, maybe she would listen to me.
She scoffed, “Hear you out?

“Or you didn’t know he is dating Anita? She turned looking at me with disgust.
“What were you thinking Kelsi?”
“Did you see how hurt delvin was? He ended his friendship with Lexy just to protect you” ” he lost many of his friends just to make you his friend, and what did you pay him with?
