Chapter 134

Cheney’s POV
We let Flora have a good rest, and I went out with Krista and Grandma.
Grandma looked at Krista’s hand and said with some distress, “Have all your wounds been treated when dressing in the hospital? Don’t be infected.”
When I heard Grandma say this, I also looked at her anxiously. “You were bandaged in the hospital, right?”
She nodded and looked at me. “When I came out of the mansion, it happened to meet Rashad who was going to visit Flora. He took me to the hospital. If you don’t believe me, you can ask him.”
When she mentioned Rashad, I was somewhat unhappy. However, thinking that Krista is so honest, it seems that I felt relieved.
We sent Grandma back to the Plum Court and came to the door. Krista said, “Grandma, I won’t go inside.”
“No, come in and sit together. I just called my health care doctor and asked her to give you some medicine to remove scars. Girls’ hands are the same as their faces, but they can’t leave scars.”
Krista shook her head again. “No, grandma, I really won’t go inside.”
Grandma’s eyebrows raise, “You are our child, why are you ignoring my offer?”
“She was afraid. Just now, Grandpa called Krista and wanted to drive Krista away. If you were Krista, would you be embarrassed to step into this house?”
Krista hit me with her elbow, and I raised my eyebrows. “Why you are so wronged that you want to jump into the river, and you won’t let me tell Grandma?”
“I didn’t want to jump into the river.”
“It seems to me that if I hadn’t gone in time, you would have jumped.”
Grandma snorted angrily, “This old man is trying not to make people feel better. He dared to take advantage of my absence and kicked away Krista. I am so angry with him.”
She turned and went into the Plum Court. Krista stared at me, “What are your intentions? Didn’t you say this to make Grandma fight with Grandpa?”
“What I want is this effect. In this world, besides grandma, who else can cure my grandfather’s stubbornness?”
“You are really terrible, I’m angry with you,” she frowned and chased in. “Grandma.”
Grandma walked to the door of the Plum Court and shouted, “Baldwin, get out of here.”
Grandpa got up and came to the door. “Honey, how are you…”
“Cheney, go get a lawyer. I’m going to divorce Baldwin. The man who stabbed someone in the back was enough. Tell yourself what’s the difference between you and the Fischer family over there.”
Grandpa looked at Krista and said softly, “Did this girl say something to you?”
“You don’t blame Krista. You don’t lose money in what you did. You don’t know what happened to Krista, and you drive her away.”
Grandpa gouged out Krista again and said with displeasure, “I really didn’t see it. You are a child who will complain.”
Krista was silent. I walked in slowly and stood beside Krista. “Grandpa, you have wronged Krista. She didn’t have time to complain to my grandmother. Just now, she told me everything. You drove Krista away and let me stop thinking about her in the future. I told my grandmother this, and there is nothing wrong with it.”
“You this…” Grandpa gouged me out and snorted twice. “The both of you, get out of here.”
Krista turned to leave, and my grandmother on the side was even angrier. She pointed to her grandfather and said angrily, “You don’t send these nameless evil fires with Krista. I tell you, you want Cheney to be with Flora, right? I just don’t want to. I want Krista to be my grandson’s wife. It’s useless for anyone to say this.”
Jacob’s POV
I came to the Plum Court to ask for leave. As soon as I walked to the door, I heard their conversation. I was busy sideways and flashed behind the sidewall.
I frowned, clenched fists tightly, and my eyes were covered with a layer of haze. In the yard, Aurora turns to Krista. “Krista, if you go, take Grandma with you. Grandma will live with you later.”
Seeing this, I left quietly. In this family, everyone says they regard Flora as one of their own. But at this moment, everyone, except the old man turned to Krista.
Then what about my daughter Flora? Is she a joke? Krista? I won’t let you live!
Krista’s pov
In embarrassment, I looked at my grandma and said, “Please, Grandma, do not do this. My father stayed quiet in front of me. He just said a few things to me because he mistookly believed I had hurt Flora. Now that the truth is out, and my father knows I’m innocent, he won’t say anything stupid.”
Cheney and I went to the Jade Court after helping Grandma back to her room.
When I first walked into the room, I looked around for my phone, wanting to call Romeo later.
As a result, I was unable to find it for quite some time.
“What are you searching for?” he asked.
“How come my phone isn’t here?”
“You are not bashful to say that you didn’t answer the phone just now. Your mobile phone can really be used as a decoration in the future.”
I recalled it carefully and thought for a long time before I remembered that the last time I used my mobile phone was when I took photos in the kitchen.
“I’ll go to the kitchen to see if I left it there.” I replied as I reached the door.
“I’ll go with you.”
“No, it’s so close, I’ll be back soon.”
Cheney, on the other hand, went out with me.
Come to the kitchen through the backyard. I’m in front, and Cheney is at the back.
I went to the kitchen door, came to an end, turned to Cheney, and took a quiet action.
Cheney didn’t make any noise.
The kitchen door was half open, and several aunts were cleaning and talking within.
“To say the least, Miss Flora, it’s a shame. Finally, I was welcomed as the young master’s girlfriend. I watched them marry, and then I went on to do amazing things in my life. The outcome was good, and I was involved in an accident. She was fortunate in that she did not die. It’s a miracle when someone in a vegetative state wakes up, yet a man has been pried awake once more. Otherwise, this lady is dependent on her life, which is not ideal. Even Jinshan Yinshan, who is given to her hand, is uncatchable.”
“I think it’s Mrs Fischer who has a good life.”
“Hey, do you think that has anything to do with Mrs Fischer right now?”
“Miss Flora clarified that Mrs. Fischer had nothing to do with anything.”
“Miss Flora, on the other hand, has always been gentle, kind, and easy to bully. Who knows whether she’s trying to calm down. Mrs Fischer very certainly committed the crime, but Miss Flora covered her.”
“Mrs. Fischer, who usually smiles, doesn’t appear to be smiling just now.”
“Who said it wasn’t pleasant? Have you never heard of the ‘Smiling Tiger’? On the surface, Mrs. Fischer appears to be a powerful lady. This type of person is typically more calculated. Miss Flora, on the other hand, is not in the same situation as her.”
My eyes are closed, and my heart is sad.
Even if the truth comes out, I am still a murderer in other people’s hearts.
It’s really sad. You can obviously don’t care about these voices, but you really want to do it, but it’s really difficult.
Now I seem to understand why those stars suffer from depression because of cyber violence.
People are awesome, but these people who whisper about others behind their backs never seem to understand this truth.
Cheney had a couple of big hands behind me, softly covering my ears, and I was sad.
I feel a deep sense of warmth when I looked back at him.
I gave him a weak smile and softly opened my mouth. “I’m fine, I’m fine.”
He leaned up close, kissed my forehead, and then let go of his hand. “Don’t pay attention to those words, don’t give a damn about them, just look at me.”
I looked at him and was hypnotized for a minute, knowing that this person, this shoulder, and these hands were persons I wanted to be with, rely on, and embrace for the rest of my life.
He went to the kitchen when he was finished.
As soon as he entered the room, the discussion in the kitchen stopped.
“Young master.” several people said politely.
“You guys are fired.” Cheney says as he takes my phone, put it in his pocket, turns around, looks at the crowd, and says, “Go to the housekeeper, get paid, and leave the Fischer’s mansion.”
Finish that sentence, grab my waist, and walk to the door.
The servants ran, and one of them came and begged, “Please don’t fire me, young master. I still have children in college, pointing to this salary…”
“Go away.” Cheney has a bad voice.
The servant refused to give up and then begged me, “Mrs. Fischer, I’m sorry, I’m too talkative, please give me another chance, I really dare not, never dare again.”
I looked up at Cheney.
Cheney gave the servant a cold look. “Do you want to wait for me to call the security guard to kick you out? The rules of the Fischer family were clearly memorized before you came in. Now you know it, do you still point to the Fischer family to be lenient to you? Get out of here and don’t let me see you again.”
He tore each other apart and led me away directly.
