I was about to hit on the floor so hard but suddenly before i could hit the ground, a strong hand hold my wrist and pulled back with force. I was suddenly flying back again and this time, my head hit hard on someone’s chest. I put my both hands against his strong chest.
I don’t have to look up to know whose hand was this. Because the spark in the touch, tingles and that feeling had already told me who it was. I inhaled his intoxicating smell and I surely felt heaven. I let my head against his chest with my eyes closed.
He hold me like that for a while. Even though I was not that pitied girl, I was afraid of what had happened to me and I could feel my heart beating as like someone inside me was playing drums on my chest. And his smell seems to calm my heart so much. He had his one hand around his waist and he took his another hand on my left shoulder and patted softly. That small gesture made my heart skip a beat, it was soothing me and I felt so safe like that. It was so strange but I felt warm, I felt so safe in his arms. It was like I was home.
“Are you ok? ” Liam asked out of concern and I opened my eyes to found out that everone around us was looking at us. They were gasping and they still had their had mouth open. I parted myself from Mr Gold and moved few steps away.
I felt a bit of embarrassment under those eyes but more of all I was afraid to stay like that in his arms. Because I was liking there. I made my head down to hide my embaraased face because I know I just look like a tomato now and even my ears must look like a just fried prawn.
I nodded at Liam first and muttered “Thank you Mr Gold” softly. Even I was barely listening myself, I was pretty sure he must not heard it at all.
“Are you hurt anywhere, Miss….” I saw James askes me with concern eyes.
I nodded at him “I’m fine. Sorry for my stupidity” I bowed to him.
“No no, I am the one who should be sayinh sorry, we keep these things everywhere and didn’t cleaned it. I’m so sorry Miss… Miss Wilson? ” he said.
I looked at him, I didn’t knew he know my name. I mean Sarah couldn’t tell him about me. Right?
“You… You know my name? ” I asked.
He nodded to me with a gentle smile. “I know more than your name. That Sa.. ”
Cough cough **
He stopped as Liam coughed at the mid of his sentence. He looked at him and smiled back to me “I’m sorry, I forget about my work. I guess we should have a little chat after the work.” he said.
I don’t wanted to know him or chat with him after what his father did to me. And Sarah, she don’t think I’m her sister so why would I want to meet him. I shook my head “I’m so sorry but I don’t think I can because I have to go back to my company after the work.” I said.
“Ohh, that’s OK. We will be meeting on the work anyway.” He smiled at me.
“Shall we now? ” Liam asked.
. i looked at mr Gold to see what his reaction was and he seemed so cold and dangerous. He had fire in his eyes. If looks could kill someone, I would have been cut down into two pieces right now.
Liam and James walked talking along with that manager and Mr Gold. I followed them from behind and I was so concentrated on Mr Gold. I know he was angry. It was weird, he shouldn’t be that angry. Maybe because i was talking to someone else in working hours.
I followed them wherever they went and they went in a small cabin like place and sat there discussing the whole thing. There was only two sofas and they were sitting there so I had no place to sit. I was just standing at a side and honestly I want to sit. I was tired by walking around.
But then I decide to walk around since there was no one who was noticing me. I went out and walked towards the lake. I saw there were a lots of boxes at the side of the lake. I went up to it and sat on a old looking box. It was so calm and beautiful here. It was perfect since I can see the door of the cabin and I would know if they came out of it. I looked at the lake and I got some memories dancing on my head.
Beast running and splashing water on me and I trying to hit him with a little water in hand. I was laughing and he was wagging his tail and running here and there under the full moon. I remember how we sat on the side of the lake and rested after a while and a smile formed automatically on my face.
Some footsteps came from behind as I was lost in those memories. That footsteps stooped right behind me and a shadow came and sat beside me. I could feel him even with my eyes closed.
“What are you thinking about? ” a deep and hoarse voice asked me. I slowly opened my eyes and looked at Mr Gold. His eyes seemed so calm now. He don’t have his fire and furious eyes now. Now it seems so deep and calm like the sea. I smiled at him, it felt so good. The calm lake and the peace of sitting beside him without speaking. But it didn’t last long because he asked me another question “Don’t you want to talk? ”
“I was thinking about someone special. I had spend a great time with him in a lake just like this. ” I said and turned to him. And to my surprise he was smiling. And he looked handsome as he smiled. I don’t know if I never noticed that or what but I felt his smile was so mesmerizing and I was so smitten by his smile only. He opened his thin and perfect lips.
“So… ? You have someone special? ” he asked as he turned to me. Our eyes met and I felt as if everything around had been slowed down. The voiced around us seems to become slowed and the pictures around him seemed blur and black. Only he had color and his eyes were adding beauty to them.
“Are you done staring? ” he asked.
I shook my head and looked again, but now everything seems normal. Was i hallucinating? What was happening to me. I lowered my head in embarrassment. I was looking at him again and again.
“I wasn’t starinh at you.” I said.
“I know,….” he paused for a while before continuing “So? Who is the special one? ”
I don’t know how to answer that, I can’t just tell him about my beast. Can I? I mean i don’t even know about him myself properly. He is a wolf, he is a human. I don’t know whatever he is he is my life saviour and he had saved me countless times. He always appeared in time to save me.
“Umm yeah very special, he is someone out of this world.” I said. I really can’t tell him yet.
“Let’s go back, I have everything discussed.” Liam Camr up to us and said to me Gold.
He nodded and got up I also get up off my seat and followed him to the car. Liam alsi came with us. The driver had already gotten the car out of the parking lot and drove in front of us. The three of us got seated in the seat we sat in the way while coming here. Liam was sitting with the driver while I and Mr gold was at the back seat.
On the way to the company my head was full with Beast’s memories. I hadn’t seen him on days. I wanted to see him. I think I should go and find him if I got some holiday. I think of the party invite Ms Bella give and shook my head. It was hard to find time since I was working now.. However I was surely go and find him when I got time.
Mr Gold was occupied with his laptop. He was typing something on it. Maybe he was still doing his work stuff.
