“Divorce? Mom, don’t be ridiculous!” Sophia was speechless.
“I’m not joking with you.” Jessica turned around and took the divorce agreement from the coffee table and handed it to Sophia. “This is the divorce agreement. Take a look for yourself.”
Sophia’s heart skipped a beat as she snatched the divorce agreement from Jessica’s hand and opened it.
When she saw Leo’s handwritten signature on the dotted line, the divorce agreement slipped from Sophia’s hand.
Sophia felt dizzy…
Jessica quickly caught her before she fell.
“Sophia, I’m not lying to you. Leo has already signed this divorce agreement. You should recognize his handwriting.”
“Don’t be too upset about it. Someone like Leo who lives off of others’ hard work and is just a tool for marriage won’t matter much once he leaves you. Wait for some time, and I’ll find you a good family so that you can start your happy life again,” said Jessica trying to console her daughter with these words which almost made Sophia spit blood out of anger.
After calming down for quite some time, Sophia took out her phone and dialed Leo’s number.
However, the voice that came through the telephone receiver was not the one Sophia was hoping for. Instead, it said, “Sorry, the number you dialed is either switched off or out of service area. Please try again later…”
The phone slipped from Sophia’s hand, and tears that she had been holding back finally fell like broken beads.
“Mom, you’re so heartless. How could you do this? I hate you!” Sophia cried sorrowfully.
Anticipating Sophia’s reaction, Jessica immediately adopted a gentler tone and said, “Dear, this really has nothing to do with me. Leo voluntarily proposed the divorce.”
“You’re lying. I never signed any divorce agreement!”
“Sweetheart, I admit, I deceived you into signing the divorce agreement, but Leo’s name was genuinely signed by himself. If you don’t believe it, you can ask Nora. She was there when Leo signed it.”
“I don’t care. Leo could never divorce me. I’m going to find him right now!” Sophia said and attempted to rush out the door.
Jessica firmly held onto her hand. “Dear, don’t be foolish. With someone like Leo, you shouldn’t have any expectations or illusions. Sit down first. I’ll show you something that will make you give up completely.”
Sophia was pulled onto the sofa by Jessica. Then, Jessica produced a bulging envelope from somewhere.
“Take a look at this,” Jessica handed the envelope to Sophia.
“What is it?”
“You’ll know when you see it.”
Sophia took the envelope and opened it. When she saw the first photograph, she froze.
Followed by the second, third, fourth…
Contrary to Jessica’s expectations, Sophia didn’t burst into tears or make a scene. She calmly looked at each photo, her face devoid of any expression, an unusually calm demeanor.
Thinking that the photos hadn’t had the desired effect, Jessica hurriedly added, “Dear, I had these photos authenticated. They are definitely not manipulated. In other words, that useless Leo was cheating on you!”
Sophia remained silent, took one of the photos in her hands, and tore it in half.
Then she took another one and was about to tear it.
Jessica quickly snatched the photo from her hand, shouting, “Silly girl, what are you doing? These are evidence!”
Sophia quietly stood up from the sofa, walked towards the stairs, ascended to the second floor, entered the bedroom, and closed the bedroom door with a bang.
Jessica put all the photos back into the envelope, stood up, looked towards the direction of the bedroom, sighed deeply, and said softly, “Sophia, don’t blame me. Everything I did was for your own good.”

In the early morning, at two o’clock.
In a room in the small building behind the Nameless Clinic, Leo still couldn’t fall asleep.
Every time he closed his eyes, all he could see in his mind were images of Sophia.
Leo had also attempted to practice cultivation, but due to his restless mind, the cultivation had no effect, and it might even lead to demonic cultivation.
Sitting on the bed, Leo scratched his head, feeling unusually frustrated.
Suddenly, Leo thought of something.
Extending his right hand, he used his mental power to release the gourd obtained from the charity auction from the Void Storage Talisman, and it appeared in Leo’s hand.
Opening the mouth of the gourd and placing it in front of him, Leo extended his left index finger, using his Spiritual Power to force a drop of essence blood into the gourd.
If the gourd was indeed a spiritual weapon or a Magical Artifact, it should react to his essence blood.
Almost as soon as the fresh blood entered, a golden rune lit up on the surface of the gourd. Then Leo saw the gourd growing larger in his eyes.
In just a few seconds, Leo realized that the small gourd that had been placed on the ground had turned into a towering mountain in front of him, and he could only raise his head to look at it.
However, it wasn’t the gourd that had become larger; it was Leo who had become smaller, shrinking to the size of a mosquito.
A powerful suction force originated from above Leo’s head. Although Leo tried to resist, the resisting force was so weak that it had no effect at all.
Leo’s body flew up, rapidly heading towards the mouth of the gourd.
Entering the gourd, he continued to fall downward. All around was darkness, and his mind was dizzy.
Finally, the feeling of falling disappeared, but there was still no sensation of standing on solid ground.
Leo’s head cleared up a bit. He opened his eyes, and to his surprise, he was startled when he looked around.
He saw soft, glowing nebulae seemingly within arm’s reach yet also appearing infinitely distant, only to be observed from afar, unattainable.
Besides the glowing nebulae, the rest was an endless abyss of darkness, a darkness that could devour everything.
Leo realized he was inside the gourd, but he couldn’t have expected it to look like this.
At this moment, he had no feet on the ground, no head facing the sky; it was as if he were in the boundless universe!
Moreover, Leo felt no weight at all. His feet weren’t touching the ground; instead, he was floating, becoming a part of eternity.
Fortunately, there were no strange sensations in his body. Leo tried to move forward, and although his feet were in motion, the identical scenery around him made it impossible to find a reference point. He didn’t know whether he was walking or standing still.
Feeling helpless and unsure of what to do, a voice suddenly echoed, “Fortunate one, you have finally arrived.”
In such a place, hearing a human voice suddenly gave a chilling feeling.
The voice was indescribable in language, as if it came from a distant, dark depth, yet it also seemed to be right beside Leo, elusive and unreal.
