“Vincent, what is a parasite like him doing here?”
“I bet he was kicked out by his mother-in-law and had nowhere to go, so he ended up wandering here.”
“As a man, reaching such a point in life is truly pitiful.”
“Vincent, let me send him on his way. Maybe he’ll have better luck in his next life.”
Though Vincent wore a smile on his face, he felt a bit nervous inside. He knew the purple light that had just knocked the dagger out of his hand was emitted by Leo, and he couldn’t clearly see what that purple light was.
Fortunately, the people he brought were fully armed, and even if this son-in-law had extraordinary abilities, he would be riddled with bullets under the barrels of six guns.
“What are we waiting for? Send him on his way,” Vincent commanded.
Just as the six were about to pull the triggers, a purple light flashed like lightning in front of their necks one after another.
The pupils of all six men dilated simultaneously, and then they fell to the ground in a series.
This scene not only stunned Vincent but also shocked Elroy and Black.
In just a wave of his hand, Leo had extinguished six well-armed men. What kind of formidable strength was this!?
After a brief moment of shock, Vincent mobilized his magic power. Black energy emanated from his right hand, and he slapped Leo.
Seeing the black energy erupting from Vincent’s hand, Leo couldn’t help but show a hint of shock.
Demon Cultivator!
This guy turned out to be a Demon Cultivator!
A Demon Cultivator was an existence as powerful as a cultivator, but their cultivation methods and paths were different from those of cultivators.
After being defeated in the underground arena, Vincent sacrificed half of his soul to a demon cultivator. Under the transformation of that demon cultivator, he became half a demon cultivator himself.
Vincent came here today to find Dragon Whisker Grass, Phoenix Gall, and Goblin Essence, the three spiritual herbs, for his demon cultivator master to refine demon pills.
Leo did not dodge Vincent’s palm but instead mobilized his Spiritual Power to counter with a punch.
At the moment when the fist and palm collided, a sound like shattered glass rang out, as if the air had fractured between the fist and palm.
The fist and palm separated as Leo and Vincent both retreated. Leo took a step back, while Vincent retreated three steps.
“You’re no ordinary person!” Vincent’s face showed surprise.
Leo didn’t answer him. Instead, in the midst of Vincent’s astonishment, his figure flashed, and a punch landed on Vincent’s chest.
“Boom!” A muffled sound rang out, and Vincent directly spat out blood and flew backward.
Leo’s figure flashed again. Before Vincent hit the ground, a whirlwind kicked him in the ribs.
Vincent, suspended in mid-air, once again spewed a mouthful of blood, his body tossed high like a sandbag before crashing heavily to the ground. Facing Leo, Vincent was now on his knees, covered in blood from his mouth, nose, and even his eyes, his expression a terrifying mix of horror and despair.
When Vincent first heard Leo’s name, he didn’t take Leo seriously, not even bothering to personally deal with him. But now, he realized how wrong he was. This supposedly useless and dependent son-in-law, as rumored in the outside world, turned out to be a formidable cultivator!
Vincent once believed that, by sacrificing half of his soul to become a demon cultivator, he could kill anyone he wanted in Langstel. However, the harsh reality told him that, even as a demon cultivator, he remained a pawn in someone else’s hands.
Approaching Vincent from behind, Leo picked up the fallen dagger and cut the ropes binding Black and Elroy. “Leo, thank you,” Black expressed his gratitude.
Elroy, bewildered, asked, “Do you know Leo!?”
“We’ve crossed paths before,” Black nodded in response.
Leo merely nodded at Black and Elroy, then walked up to Vincent, holding the dagger. “How do you want to die?” Leo asked coldly.
Enduring the pain, Vincent pleaded, “Leo, I was wrong. Please spare my life.”
Leo crouched down in front of Vincent, waving the dagger, and asked, “Tell me, how did you become a demon cultivator?”
“Demon cultivator? What demon cultivator?” Vincent pretended to be ignorant.
Leo waved the dagger again.
“Ah…!” Another miserable scream escaped Vincent’s mouth as a ghastly wound appeared on his chest.
Leo walked behind Vincent and kicked him towards Black and Elroy.
Then, Leo picked up the fallen dagger, walked back to Vincent, and asked, “How did you know you could find those three medicinal ingredients here?”
“It was Oktrar who told me to come here,” Vincent hurriedly replied.
“Tell me more. Is it Oktrar who asked you to find Dragon Whisker Grass, Phoenix Gall, and Goblin Essence? What does he want with these three ingredients?”
“Yes, Oktrar needs these three ingredients to refine a demon pill and enhance his cultivation,” Vincent answered without hesitation.
“How did you know you could find them here?”
“Oktrar told me to come here. Ah…!” Vincent screamed again as another bloody wound appeared.
“Leo, Mr. Bloomer, don’t kill me. I only know his name is Oktrar and nothing else,” Vincent pleaded desperately.
“Where is Oktrar?” Leo asked.
“This…” Vincent hesitated.
Leo waved the dagger once more.
“He’s beneath the ancestral shrine in the Golden Blade Village to the south of the city!” Vincent’s tone turned desperate.
He knew that by revealing Oktrar’s hiding place, even if Leo spared him, Oktrar would likely kill him when he returned.
For Vincent, there was only one path forward – submission to Leo. Surviving each moment was a precious reprieve.
“Controlled by Oktrar, how many demon cultivators like you are there?” Leo inquired further.
“I really don’t know. I swear!” Vincent shook his head.
Leo tossed the dagger to the ground, stood up, and didn’t look at Vincent anymore. Waving his hand coldly, he said, “Now, you can leave.”
“Thank you, Mr. Bloomer, for sparing my life!” Vincent, as if granted clemency, crawled and rolled away from the villa courtyard.
Black, puzzled, asked, “Leo, by letting him go like this, aren’t you afraid…”
Black intentionally left his words unfinished.
“I’m not afraid. I wonder if the Chiville Black Dragon is afraid,” Leo smiled, countering with a question.
Black felt a bit embarrassed at Leo’s teasing.
“Mr. Dragon, just joking with you. Please don’t mind.” Leo’s gaze circled Black, “Mr. Dragon, I can see that you have a strong external martial arts foundation. However…”
