Chapter 574: Saving Lives Like Fighting Fires

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

Leo knew the Western clinic could likely save the young boy, so he stepped out of the clinic.
Outside the Nameless Chinese Medicine Clinic, Marsh tousled Bonnie’s hair, reluctant but smiled, “Bonnie, Mom and Dad are leaving for now. We’ll come back to see you in a few days.”
Bonnie’s face revealed a hint of reluctance as she replied, “Dad, Mom, I’ll come see you too.”
After handing over Bonnie’s school information and some daily necessities to Chasel, Marsh and Marian left the clinic, glancing back three times.
There were several vacant rooms in the small building at the back of the clinic. Leo let Chasel arrange Bonnie’s accommodation. As for Bonnie’s schooling, Chasel would handle it first, and if needed, Leo would assist.
Just as Leo, Chasel, and Bonnie prepared to enter the clinic, mournful cries suddenly emanated from the diagonally opposite Western clinic.
“My son, please wake up, don’t scare Mom…”
Even passersby were drawn in by the pitiful female voice, craning their necks to see what was happening inside.
Leo wondered if something had gone wrong during the treatment of the young boy.
“Chasel, go check that Western clinic; see what’s happening.”
Chasel nodded and swiftly rushed across to the Western clinic.
After a while, Chasel returned, urgently saying, “Dr. Bloomer, something’s indeed wrong. The boy brought in a moment ago is in critical condition.”
Hearing Chasel’s words, Leo’s expression changed. Given the gravity of the situation, Leo didn’t hesitate and rushed directly to the Western clinic.
Entering the clinic, in a partitioned small ward, the young boy lay on a bed with a drip, an oxygen tube in his nose. His face displayed an abnormal bluish-gray shade, and his chest movements became increasingly faint.
Dr. Richardson, clad in a white coat, stood on the side, seemingly shocked by the scene, unsure of what to do.
Leo rushed to the bedside, then turned the label on the drip bottle. It contained common saline and glucose solutions.
Leo directly removed the two bottles and carefully sniffed in front of the boy’s nose.
With that sniff, Leo’s face changed drastically.
He slammed the solution bottles to the ground, angrily cursing, “Bastard, it’s fake medicine!”
Leo, furious, turned and slapped Dr. Richardson in the face, sending him sprawling to the ground.
Leo removed the needle from the boy’s arm, then picked him up and dashed towards his own clinic.
The scene frightened the boy’s mother, who yelled while closely chasing Leo, trying to snatch her son back.
The boy’s father and grandparents snapped out of their stupor and hurriedly followed.
“What are you doing? Give me back my son!” the boy’s father shouted.
With a life hanging in the balance, now was not the time to explain. Leo activated his Spiritual Power, speeding up as he entered the clinic.
Placing the boy on a bed in the clinic, Leo quickly took out a silver needle case. He withdrew nine silver needles in rapid succession, swiftly inserting them into nine .
While needling, Leo released a bit of Spiritual Power, transmitting it into the boy’s body through the silver needles.
Leo is now using the technique of Resuscitation Needle from the Nine Extreme Mystical Needles.
Due to the injection of fake medicine, the young boy’s life is hanging by a thread, and only by employing the Reviving Needle Technique from the Nine Extreme Mystical Needles can his life be preserved.
After the nine needles are inserted, Leo performs the sweeping technique, each motion using Spiritual Power to awaken the boy’s vitality.
This method is similar to Western medicine’s cardiopulmonary resuscitation but more mysteriously effective.
In a short time, Leo’s forehead is covered in cold sweat. The process of saving a life consumes a significant amount of energy.
The boy’s family has rushed into the clinic. Seeing Leo treating their child, they, originally prepared to argue, fall silent, just staring wide-eyed.
Some onlookers and patients stretch their necks to see inside. When they witness Leo’s acupuncture technique, they start murmuring quietly.
“I heard traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture is just a scam. Do you think he can revive the child?”
“It looks dicey. Pay attention to the boy’s complexion; bluntly speaking, he looks like a dead person. Even the most genius doctor might not bring the child back to life.”
“As far as I know, Dr. Bloomer’s medical skills are extraordinary. Maybe he can revive the boy.”
“This little boy was originally being treated at the Western clinic across the street. If something goes wrong here, that Chinese doctor who treated him will definitely be held responsible!”
At this moment, Dr. Richardson from the Western clinic across the street sneaks into the crowd. Hearing people’s discussions, he hastily shouts, “Before the boy was brought here from the Western clinic, his vital signs were normal. If anything happens here, this doctor who is treating him here must be responsible!”
A few guys, upon hearing the male doctor’s words, can’t help but turn to glare at him.
When they recognize him as Dr. Richardson from the Western clinic across the street, they can’t help but angrily curse, “Get lost! If it weren’t for you using fake medicine, would the boy be in this condition? You still have the face to come here and meddle. I think you’re just asking for trouble!”
Seeing several men in the crowd seemingly ready to confront him physically, Dr. Richardson is startled. He turns and quickly runs back to his clinic.
At this moment, the boy on the hospital bed suddenly trembles, then slowly opens his eyes, followed by bursting into tears.
Seeing the boy awake, Leo heaves a long sigh of relief, then wipes the sweat from his forehead.
Fortunately, the treatment was timely. If it had been a minute or two later, Leo would have been powerless.
Witnessing their son waking up, the boy’s family is overwhelmed with joy.
The boy’s mother rushes forward, tightly hugging her son, tears streaming down her face, muttering to herself, “My son, you scared Mom to death…”
The boy’s grandparents quickly express their gratitude to Leo, “Doctor, thank you for saving our grandson. You truly are a miracle worker!”
Onlookers also display happy expressions.
“It’s truly miraculous; I didn’t expect the child to come back to life!”
“I said earlier, Dr. Bloomer’s medical skills are extraordinary; bringing the dead back to life is a piece of cake for him.”
“The traditional Chinese medicine is amazing. I’ve decided; I’ll get treated at this clinic from now on. As for the Western clinic across the street, forget about it!”
