As Roy leaped backward, he squeezed the trigger with his right hand and fired at the alligator’s belly.
“Bam, bam, bam…”
To Roy’s astonishment, the bullets didn’t penetrate the alligator’s skin. It was as if the bullets were hitting a bulletproof vest. Though the bullets didn’t kill the alligator, they provided Roy with some precious time. The alligator’s massive jaws missed him as he landed in the water.
Leo, Jennifer, Franklin, and Curitis, who were in the front, also came under attack from the alligators. The alligators seemed to have intelligence, and they sensed that Leo was the strongest among the group. Three alligators simultaneously lunged at Leo.
In the nick of time, Leo unleashed an Ice Talisman. Instantly, his body was encased in a thick layer of ice. The three alligators bit down on the thick ice, their jaws making a series of snapping sounds.
Master Grant, standing nearby, saw Leo use the talisman and his face lit up with excitement. He said to Janet, “You were right; that kid can use talismans. He’s definitely practicing some kind of spiritual cultivation technique.”
“Crash, crash…”
Three alligators bit onto Leo, who was protected by the ice layer. After a moment of deathly struggle, they ultimately failed to break through the ice.
“A single talisman could actually withstand the attacks of three spirit alligators. The power of this talisman is indeed not to be underestimated,” muttered Master Grant.
He was well aware that the combined attack of these three alligators was as powerful as the strongest strike from an upper-level martial master.
“Boom!”
After a resounding explosion, the ice layer encasing Leo shattered, and ice crystals shot out like arrows towards the three alligators in the water.
The ice crystals failed to pierce the alligators’ bodies but left several shallow wounds on their skin.
“This creature’s defense is surprisingly strong!” Leo returned to his stance on the wooden pillar, his brows furrowing.
The ice crystals he had unleashed earlier could easily turn an ordinary alligator into a beehive in an instant. However, they only inflicted minor injuries on these alligators in the water.
From this, it was evident that the alligators in this water were far from ordinary.
As Leo contemplated how to deal with these alligators, one of them opened its mouth from a distance, and Leo saw electrical energy gathering inside its mouth. Leo immediately understood: these alligators in the water were spirit alligators!
“Boom!”
An lightning orb formed in one alligator’s mouth and shot towards Franklin, who was still on a wooden post. Franklin was aware of the approaching lightning orb and instinctively wanted to dive into the water, but doing so would have made him an easy target for the alligators.
Just then, a purple light flashed, instantly shattering the lightning orb. Franklin, feeling Leo had saved him, gave a heartfelt thanks, “Thank you, Mr. Bloomer!”
“Quick, get back to the shore!” Leo shouted again.
There were more than ten alligators in the water, and if they all unleashed their abilities simultaneously, everyone would become their prey.
“Ah…!” Roy let out a cry of pain. As he swam towards the shore, one alligator latched onto his leg, just a moment too late for him to escape.
“Bang, bang, bang…”
Jim fired his machine gun at the alligator gripping Roy’s right leg. One bullet hit the alligator’s eye, causing it to release its grip.
Jim quickly pulled Roy out of the water. Roy’s leg was bleeding profusely from the alligator’s bite.
Once Leo made it back to the shore, Curitis resumed firing his machine gun, keeping the alligators at bay.
All six of them managed to retreat to the edge of the pine forest.
Thanks to their relatively swift reactions, among the six, only Roy suffered a more severe injury, while Jim and Curitis sustained minor wounds. Jennifer and Franklin, on the other hand, remained unharmed.
Leo used his spiritual power to stop Roy’s bleeding and then led the group back to the edge of the pine forest.
Alligators were amphibious creatures, equally dangerous in the water and on land.
In a matter of moments, over ten alligators crawled out of the water and began approaching Leo’s group.
Master Grant laughed triumphantly, “My darlings, show these unwelcome guests your power!”
The alligators seemed to understand Master Grant’s words. They lined up in a row on the ground and simultaneously opened their massive jaws. Within their gaping mouths, electric energy began to coalesce, forming ominous lightning orbs.
In the next moment, lightning orbs burst forth from the alligators’ gaping maws, streaking through the air like shooting stars, creating a spectacular and terrifying sight.
“Quick, take cover behind the tree trunks!” Leo shouted loudly, recognizing the alligators’ formidable abilities.
Everyone understood the danger posed by the alligators, swiftly concealing themselves behind the thick pine tree trunks.
“Boom!” The lightning orbs struck the tree trunks.
The sturdy pine tree trunks shattered under the powerful shockwaves of the lightning orbs, sending soil, wood splinters, and pine needles flying in all directions, causing chaos within the pine forest.
“Crack!” Several pine tree trunks suffered severe damage, snapping and collapsing. Those who had sought refuge behind these trees were forced to change their hiding spots.
Master Grant couldn’t have been happier with the alligators’ performance. He watched the damaged pine trees and said proudly, “Your hiding won’t help you. My Purple Thunder Spirit Alligators will destroy this forest, and you will all die!”
Leo, concealed behind a tree trunk, narrowed his eyes and summoned a talisman in his right hand.
“Thunder Burst Talisman, explode!”
With a flick of Leo’s hand, the talisman adhered to one alligator’s body. The alligator tried to remove it, but no matter how it thrashed around, the talisman clung to it like glue.
“Swift as the law commands, explode!”
With Leo’s stern command, the talisman on the alligator’s body detonated.
“Boom!”
Even with the thick skin of the alligator, the powerful explosion caused it to become several pieces of flesh. The scent of blood filled the air, attracting other alligators to feast on their fallen comrade.
Master Grant, observing this scene from a distance, couldn’t help but wince at the loss but was more intrigued by Leo’s talismans.
As Leo watched the alligators feasting on their fallen companion nearby, he contemplated his next move. These Purple Thunder Spirit alligators had formidable attack and defense capabilities, and one Thunder Burst Talisman could only take down one alligator. He needed to come up with a plan, and quickly.
