“Get out of here quickly! This isn’t a place for you to spout nonsense!”
“I think this person is just crazy. They must have been sent here by another company to cause trouble.”
“I’m going to tell the building security. We should never let this person enter the building again!”
“He actually cursed us. I really want to go up there and punch him now!”
The anger and frustration of the people only fueled Nick’s satisfaction. During their previous medical competition, Leo had defeated him, and Nick had been holding onto this grudge for a long time.
Leo paid no attention to the furious remarks and just walked away after speaking.
Seeing Leo leave, Nick adjusted his expression, took out a silver needle box from his medical kit, and inserted two silver needles into specific acupoints on the crazed woman’s body.
Julie Carpenter’s agitated emotions gradually subsided.
After observing her for a while and ensuring that Julie had completely calmed down, Nick instructed the others to untie her.
But just as the ropes were untied, Julie’s eyes suddenly rolled back, and she lunged at Nick, biting his neck.
The intense pain caused Nick to scream, and he used his strength to push Julie away.
The male employees rushed to her and pinned her down again. Julie’s face remained contorted, and she continued to scream.
Rosemary was taken aback by the scene and hurried over, asking with concern, “Nick, are you okay? Are you hurt?”
Nick touched his neck and fortunately found no bleeding. He replied, “I’m fine.”
Nick was feeling quite frustrated. Julie’s emotions and mental state had seemed to calm down earlier, so he couldn’t understand why she had suddenly become frenzied again.
After some time, the secretary returned with the medicine, and Julie’s family also arrived.
Nick handed the medicine to Julie’s family and instructed them to make sure she took it on time. If her symptoms didn’t improve, they should take her to Healnature Clinic.
After leaving the commercial building, Leo temporarily put the incident behind him and went to the parking lot to pick up Sophia.
Golden Leaf Shopping Plaza, underground parking lot.
Sophia appeared in Leo’s sight right on time.
After Sophia got into the car, Leo started the engine. She just smiled gently at him and then leaned back in her seat, closing her eyes.
As the car exited the underground parking lot, Leo glanced at Sophia and said, “Sophia, I remember tomorrow is your birthday. How about you take the day off, and I’ll take you somewhere fun?”
Leo never forced Sophia to do anything she didn’t want to do, so he asked for her opinion.
Sophia opened her eyes, turned her head, and looked at Leo with curiosity. “Sure, I can take the day off, but you have to tell me where we’re going.”
Leo grinned mysteriously. “You’ll find out tomorrow.”
Sophia thought for a moment, feeling a sense of anticipation. “Alright, I hope the place you take me tomorrow won’t disappoint me.”
“Don’t worry, it won’t,” Leo assured her confidently.
The next morning, after breakfast, Leo set off with Sophia.
Today’s destination was Cloud Dream Mountain Villa Area, Villa No. 9.
Seeing the direction of the route, Sophia became increasingly curious about where Leo was taking her. Could it be the Cloud Dream Mountain scenic area? Or Cloud Dream Lake?
“Leo, where are you taking me? To Cloud Dream Mountain?” Sophia couldn’t help but ask.
Leo wore a mysterious smile. “Yes, Cloud Dream Mountain.”
As the car approached Cloud Dream Mountain, Sophia noticed that Leo wasn’t heading towards the scenic area but rather the villa area.
“Leo, are you taking me to the Cloud Dream Mountain Villa area? I heard that non-residents can’t enter. Are you sure about this?” Sophia reminded him.
Leo maintained his mysterious smile and replied, “Don’t worry, you’ll find out soon.”
The car arrived at the entrance of the Cloud Dream Mountain Villa area.
“This is the entrance to the Cloud Dream Mountain Villa area. Vehicles that aren’t registered aren’t allowed in. We should turn back,” Sophia said, doubting that the security guard would allow Leo to pass.
To her surprise, when their license plate was recognized, the entrance barrier opened automatically, and the security guard saluted Leo with military precision.
Sophia was bewildered. Did Leo bribe the security guards to get them inside Cloud Dream Mountain Villa?
“Leo, how did you manage to get in here? What have you done behind my back?” Sophia asked, growing anxious.
She knew the rules of Cloud Dream Mountain Villa; unauthorized entry without the owner’s consent could lead to severe consequences.
Leo didn’t reply to Sophia’s questions and drove straight to Villa No. 9.
“Sophia, we’ve arrived. Let’s get out of the car,” Leo said as he got out of the car. However, Sophia remained frozen in her seat, staring at the luxurious mansion not far away, still in disbelief.
Leo had to open the passenger’s door for her. Sophia finally stepped out of the car, her face a mix of astonishment and confusion. She asked, “Leo, what on earth are you doing?”
Leo smiled and said, “Sophia, welcome home.”
“Home? Leo, are you okay? Are you sick or something?” Sophia stepped closer and touched Leo’s forehead with the back of her hand.
Leo held Sophia’s hand and said, “Come with me. Let’s go see our new home.”
“New home?” Sophia felt her heart racing. A thought crossed her mind – could the villa in front of her be the one Leo had recently mentioned buying?
Cloud Dream Mountain Villa No. 9 had recently been auctioned for a mysterious 200 million dollars, and the identity of the buyer had remained a mystery. Could that buyer be Leo?
But how could he possibly afford 200 million dollars?
Sophia’s mind raced with questions, and she was somewhat absentminded as Leo led her forward. When they reached the mansion’s front door, Leo took out a key and handed it to Sophia with a smile, saying, “Sophia, go ahead and open the door.”
Sophia stared at the key in her hand, her expression a mix of disbelief and awe. Her hands even trembled slightly. She was well aware of the implications if this key could indeed unlock the mansion’s door. This was Cloud Dream Mountain, the epitome of luxury and opulence in all of Langstel. Sophia was so stunned that she couldn’t find the words to express her feelings, and the mansion’s entrance seemed like Pandora’s Box to her.
After a brief hesitation, Sophia inserted the key into the lock and turned it gently.
