Leo had already figured out lion-tiger beast’s attack patterns. With a quick movement, he evaded lion-tiger beast’s pounce. Leo then pretended to dodge and led the lion-tiger beast around the arena, making it chase him for a while until the beast grew tired. Seizing the opportunity, Leo leaped and landed on lion-tiger beast’s back.
This thrilling sight elicited cheers from the crowd, and the atmosphere in the arena became electrified.
The lion-tiger beast, feeling violated with someone riding on its back, roared relentlessly and thrashed around in an attempt to shake Leo off. However, Leo clung to the long fur on the beast’s neck, and no matter how much it struggled, it couldn’t dislodge him.
After about twenty minutes of this struggle, lion-tiger beast was exhausted, and its movements slowed down. Leo, having had his fun, summoned his spiritual power and delivered a powerful punch to the back of lion-tiger beast’s neck.
“Boom!”
The once ferocious lion-tiger beast suddenly collapsed to the ground, causing a resounding thud. Leo jumped off its back and casually dusted off his hands, looking relaxed.
The audience was left stunned. Did the previously arrogant lion-tiger beast just fall like that? It seemed almost surreal.
The collective thought in the minds of the onlookers was, “Incredible!”
Leo walked out of the iron cage, smiling at the still-dazed Ursula, and said, “Beautiful lady, I won. Please announce the result.”
Ursula, snapping back to attention, stammered, “Th-th-the third-round arena challenge is won by Mr. 02893!”
The audience erupted in cheers. In less than half an hour, the arena had lost two hundred million, making those who had lost money today quite happy.
In a room within the arena, two figures suddenly emerged from the shadows. Both had red flame tattoos on their arms, and they were none other than Hunter and Saxon, the survivors of the fight on Cloud Dream Mountain.
“Hunter, what should we do about this guy? He seems to be a martial cultivator,” Hunter asked.
The man in the shadows, identified as Jason, coughed and spoke in a hoarse voice, “Regardless of whether he’s a martial cultivator or not, he must die today. Saxon, fetch him. We’ll send him on his way.”
“Yes, Jason,” Saxon replied obediently and left the room.
Just as Ursula was preparing to report this matter to the management, a middle-aged man hurried over.
Seeing him, Ursula’s face lit up, and she said politely, “Manager Horace.”
Manager Horace glanced at Leo and then said cordially, “Sir, you have won the third-round arena challenge. Please follow me to collect your prize.”
“Can’t you just transfer it to my account?” Leo remembered providing his bank account details when he registered his membership card.
Manager Horace explained apologetically, “Sir, due to the substantial prize amount, we require you to collect it in person.”
Leo understood their intentions but didn’t reveal it, simply nodding and saying, “Alright, lead the way.”
Manager Horace escorted Leo through a dimly lit corridor. The corridor was silent except for the echoing footsteps of the two, creating an eerie atmosphere.
After Manager Horace escorted Leo away, Ursula held the microphone and announced loudly, “The moments of joy and excitement are always short-lived. Dear esteemed guests, today’s arena matches come to an end here. Now, please settle your accounts, and you can leave. Ursula is here to welcome you back next time.”
Everyone in the arena understood the rules. Even before Ursula finished speaking, they had already stood up from their seats. Those who had placed bets headed to the settlement hall to finalize their accounts.
Leo followed Manager Horace through a dimly lit corridor, where only the footsteps of the two echoed, creating an eerie atmosphere.
At the end of the corridor stood a wooden door. Manager Horace wore an expression of fear as he pushed it open and gestured with a plea, “Sir, please enter.”
Leo’s face bore a cold smile as he stepped inside. Manager Horace wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and hastily left the room.
Inside, the lighting was dim, but Leo could still make out the figures of three individuals. He had encountered two of them before, members of the Red Fire Nine Guards, Hunter and Saxon.
As for the other man, he had gray-white hair, a slender face, pale complexion, and eyes as sinister as a serpent’s. He exuded an unmistakable malevolence.
Leo speculated that this man must be the leader of the Red Fire Nine Guards.
It just so happened that all three of them were present, and Leo was ready to deal with them all at once.
The leader of the Red Fire Nine Guards, Jason, observed Leo closely. Suddenly, he clapped his hands, and in the mysterious and gloomy room, a few scattered applause sounds could be heard.
“Kid, you’re quite something. You managed to defeat the lion-tiger beast. Now, you have two choices. Do you want two hundred million dollars, or do you want to keep your life?” Jason’s voice was harsh.
Leo smirked and removed his mask. “I don’t like making choices.”
When Hunter and Saxon saw Leo’s face, they simultaneously exclaimed, “It’s you!”
“You guys have a good memory, remembering me,” Leo replied with a smile.
Hunter pointed at Leo and said, “Jason, he’s Leo. Didn’t Gavin and the others go…”
Hunter didn’t finish his sentence because if Leo was here intact, it likely meant that Gavin and the others hadn’t survived.
Jason’s expression remained unchanged, devoid of anger. It seemed he didn’t care about Gavin and the others’ lives.
“Kid, I’ll give you one more chance. Join us, and I’ll give you everything you desire. You can become one of the most powerful individuals in Langstel, second only to me,” Jason offered, tossing a figurative carrot.
Being able to defeat the lion-tiger beast and kill Gavin and others indicated that the young man before them possessed immense strength. In dealing with such an individual, cunning and strategy were the wisest approaches.
Leo raised an eyebrow and replied in a playful tone, “Don’t you want to avenge your brothers who died by my hand?”
“In the world of martial cultivators, the stronger fighters are respected. If you can’t match up, there’s nothing to say about dying,” Jason responded indifferently.
“I see…” Leo pretended to contemplate. “How about this? I recently started a cosmetics production company. You’re a martial cultivator, so you should be strong. How about working as a security guard for me?”
This taunt hit Jason like a blow. His eyes filled with killing intent, and he sneered, “Kid, you can die now! Hunter, Saxon, kill him!”
