As Jason’s words faded, he disappeared instantly from Leo’s view. Hunter and Saxon, one on each side, simultaneously launched an attack on Leo.
Leo extended his fists with both hands.
“Boom! Boom!”
After two muffled sounds, their fists collided, and Hunter and Saxon both grunted before stepping back. They were astonished; Leo’s strength had grown even more since their last encounter.
The room’s lighting suddenly dimmed further. A black dagger silently appeared behind Leo, about to thrust into his back.
Leo swiftly sidestepped, and the black dagger grazed his shoulder, tearing through his clothing.
Jason’s figure suddenly reappeared before Leo, like a venomous snake in the darkness. He gave Leo a cold glare before vanishing once more into the shadows.
Hunter and Saxon exchanged glances and attacked Leo again.
Amidst the darkness, a blue light flashed, and Hunter and Saxon’s fists couldn’t even touch Leo’s body before they collapsed to the ground.
Hidden within the shadows, Jason saw this scene and his eyes filled with dread. Leo’s strength had completely surpassed his expectations, which explained why Gavin and others had met their end at Leo’s hands.
At this point, it was a matter of life or death. Jason launched another surprise attack against Leo.
“Clang!”
A crisp sound echoed in the room as Purple Radiance and the black dagger collided. Although the black dagger was a formidable weapon, it was nothing more than scrap metal when facing Purple Radiance, a spiritual weapon. The black dagger broke into pieces.
“Triple Fire Fist!”
The shattering of the black dagger left Jason seething. He summoned all his internal energy and launched a punch at Leo from a distance.
This punch contained all of Jason’s power and was not to be underestimated.
Leo raised an Ice Talisman and conjured a thick ice wall in front of him.
“Boom!”
The Triple Fire Fist struck the ice wall, causing it to crack and shatter.
Ice Talismans completely neutralized the power of Jason’s Triple Fire Fist.
Leo reached for another talisman, the “Little Thunder Talisman.”
Within the dark room, a strong burst of light erupted, followed by a thunderous boom and a scream.
The room descended into complete darkness.
Using his spiritual power to enhance his vision, Leo could still see clearly in the darkness.
Jason was lying on the ground, missing both legs. Leo was somewhat surprised that the man hadn’t been killed by the Little Thunder Talisman’s explosion, but his legs had been severed.
Sensing Leo approaching step by step, Jason extended his hands, desperately crawling toward the door, leaving a long trail of blood from his severed legs.
It was time to end everything.
Leo waved Purple Radiance in his hand, and Jason, with a resentful expression, took his last breath.
Exiting the room, Leo found Manager Horace. When Manager Horace saw Leo, he was nearly frightened to death. After all, no one had ever left that room alive. He thought Leo had become a ghost.
Trembling, Manager Horace transferred two hundred million to Leo, and Leo left the underground arena.
Afterward, Leo called Renee to let her know that he had killed all the members of Red Fire Nine Guards. Renee was left speechless and asked if Leo had been injured. Leo briefly recounted the situation at the arena and inquired about the ranking system within the martial arts sects.
As it turned out, the martial arts sects were divided into three tiers: third-tier sects, second-tier sects, and first-tier sects. Above the first-tier sects were the top-tier martial arts sects. In the whole country, there were three top-tier martial arts sects that surpassed the others.
Beneath the third-tier martial arts sects, there were scattered lesser-known small sects and families, which could generally be disregarded.
The criteria for ranking martial arts sects were relatively straightforward and unwritten:
– A martial arts sect needed to have at least three Martial Masters to be considered a third-tier martial arts sect.
– For second-tier martial arts sects, they had to have at least three Grand Martial Masters.
– First-tier martial arts sects needed to possess at least three Martial Generals.
– As for the top-tier martial arts sects, their requirements were even higher, needing a minimum of five Martial Sovereigns, two Martial Kings, and one Martial Ancestor.
Leo also inquired about the Fiery Blaze Sect’s ranking, and Renee informed him that it belonged to the second-tier martial arts sects. Similarly, the Azure Cloud Sect, which was behind the Azure Cloud Group, also fell under the category of second-tier martial arts sects.
Leo hung up the phone, knowing that Azure Cloud Group would likely take care of the situation at the arena. After all, with the powers behind Flying Dragon Business Association removed, it was the perfect opportunity for Azure Cloud Group to expand its influence.
Leo, not particularly concerned about these matters, checked the time and realized it was about time to pick up Sophia from work at the Golden Leaf Shopping Plaza.
Actually, Leo had been somewhat careless. The Red Fire Nine Guards should consist of nine members, and there was one missing. The missing member was Joe, the woman in the purple attire who had attacked Leo that day. After Leo confiscated her weapon, the Purple Moon Scimitar, she disappeared from Langstel, and no one knew where she had gone.
Furthermore, Leo’s recent actions were akin to tossing a large stone into a calm pond, creating significant ripples in the world of martial practitioners.
When Leo arrived Golden Leaf Shopping Plaza, Sophia told him that they wouldn’t be going home for dinner that night. Instead, she wanted to treat him to dinner as a way to thank him for his recent help.
Leo was pleasantly surprised by the invitation, and he readily accepted.
For dinner, Sophia chose a restaurant called “Imperial Feast.”
On their way to the restaurant, Sophia shared that their collaboration with the Herbal Magic Cosmetics Company was in full swing, and the first batch of cosmetics would be delivered soon.
“Leo, although I’m not sure why Herbal Magic Cosmetics Company chose to collaborate with me exclusively, you’ve been a great help. I have an idea; after we receive the first batch of products, I’d like to invite Alvin, the factory manager, to dinner. I’d like you to join us. What do you think?” Sophia asked as she turned to Leo.
Leo’s expression momentarily stiffened, but he quickly smiled and replied, “Sure, I’m fine with that.”
Leo hadn’t expected Sophia to want to invite Alvin to dinner, so he would need to inform Alvin ahead of time to ensure everything went smoothly.
They arrived at Imperial Feast, parked the car, and walked together towards the front desk.
Sophia had made a reservation online in advance, but when they reached the front desk and confirmed the reservation details with the server, the server astonishingly stated that there were no available seats.
