On Clouddream Mountain, a row of villas sat, rumored to be out of reach even for Langstel’s richest man, Harry Toby. It was clear that those who could live here held significant status.
As the car ascended the halfway point, it suddenly slammed on the brakes, causing everyone inside to lurch forward. Fortunately, the soft seatbacks cushioned the impact.
Looking ahead, they saw a thick conifer branch obstructing the road, making it impassable.
It seemed that they would need to call a tow truck. They got out of the car, and soon, an Audi arrived from behind.
The Audi stopped not far from the Mercedes, and four men stepped out. Upon seeing them, Ella, Renee’s female bodyguard, exclaimed, “Oh no, they are from Flying Dragon Business Association!”
Hearing the words “Flying Dragon Business Association,” Renee’s face immediately tensed, and Leo had a feeling that the fallen branch wasn’t accidental, but rather a deliberate act.
The four men were all dressed in black vests, each with a wicked smile as they strolled toward them.
Leo noticed the flame-shaped tattoos on their right arms, the same as the one on Rex’s arm, red in color. These guys were martial cultivators!
They were bad news. Leo wondered if they had come after him for injuring Rex.
“Four Red Fire Guards!” Ella shielded Renee, her expression tense.
The lead man smiled and said, “People can’t come back from the dead, but it seems this saying isn’t entirely accurate. August Browne’s daughter, who drowned, has miraculously returned.”
“Ms. Browne, let me introduce myself. I am Eden Dunbar, an intermediate-level Red Fire Guard. Today, I had the honor of meeting the supposedly deceased Ms. Browne. How about coming with us to the Flying Dragon Business Association?”
Only now did Leo realize that these martial cultivators were here for Renee.
“Do you know where you are? How dare you come here!” Ella sternly shouted.
Eden Dunbar seemed relaxed, saying, “Clouddream Mountain has been under the control of the Azure Cloud Group for too long. It’s time for a change. Ms. Browne, will you come with us voluntarily, or do we have to make you?”
After Eden Dunbar finished speaking, a man whispered something to him, showing him a photo on his phone. Then, Eden Dunbar’s gaze fell on Leo.
“Are you Leo Bloomer?” he asked.
Eden Dunbar’s expression grew serious. He knew about Rex’s near-death experience, and he had thought there was only one martial cultivator by Renee’s side-Ella. Now, it seemed there were two.
“I am Leo Bloomer. What’s the matter?” Leo showed no fear.
“Did you injure Rex?” Eden Dunbar inquired.
“It was me,” Leo admitted without hesitation.
“Good. Today, we were planning to capture Renee. I didn’t expect you to be here, but that’s just bad luck for you,” Eden Dunbar sneered.
Hearing the conversation between the two, both Renee and Ella looked at Leo with disbelief.
You see, Rex was a lower-level martial cultivator, and Leo was able to seriously injure him. That meant Leo’s strength was at least at the intermediate level of Warrior.
“So, are you also inviting me to the Flying Dragon Business Association?” Leo chuckled.
Eden Dunbar shook his head, “You wish! A year from now will be your death anniversary.. Steward, Andy, you guys take care of this kid. We’ll entertain Ms. Browne.”
As the two men approached, Leo turned around and said, “Stay still, let me handle these guys.”
With a seemingly magical motion, Steward held a sharp and glinting dagger in his hand and lunged forward in an arrow-like step, aiming straight for Leo’s throat. It was fast, precise, and ruthless, intended to be a lethal blow.
Leo swiftly sidestepped, grabbing Steward’s wrist with his left hand in a lightning-fast move. His spiritual power surged as he controlled the weapon, and the dagger flew out of Steward’s hand and into Leo’s.
Pulling the dagger with his left hand, Leo thrust it into Steward’s abdomen in one smooth motion. Steward clutched his stomach, blood pouring out from the wound, and collapsed to the ground.
Andy was taken aback by Leo’s fierce and unrelenting actions, hesitating to move forward. Meanwhile, Andrew, who had been standing beside Dr. Lee, had a twitch in the corner of his eye. He had initially been skeptical of Leo, but now he felt fear towards him. Leo didn’t even blink when stabbing someone; he was truly ruthless.
“Andy, what are you waiting for? Attack!” Eden Dunbar shouted.
Andy activated his internal energy, letting out a low roar, and charged at Leo. Leo used his right hand to flick at Andy’s lower body while simultaneously flicking his left hand towards Andy’s neck.
Andy reacted quickly, spinning his body to the side while his lower body attack left a deep mark on the ground, and the attack aimed at his neck grazed his skin.
Taking advantage of the opening, Leo dashed forward and kicked Andy, who was still mid-air from his dodge.
A loud “thud” echoed through the air as Andy’s body flew like a broken kite before crashing to the ground, spewing a mouthful of blood. He couldn’t get up anymore.
With Steward and Andy taken down in quick succession, Eden Dunbar’s expression changed completely.
“Troy, go after Renee. I’ll deal with this kid,” Eden Dunbar ordered, charging towards Leo.
Troy headed towards Renee’s direction, and soon, Ella, Renee’s bodyguard, engaged in a fierce battle with him. Ella was a martial cultivator at the lower level, just like Troy, making them evenly matched.
On Leo’s side, the red flames on Eden Dunbar’s arm flared up as he shouted, “Take my Fist of Fiery Blaze!”
Eden Dunbar’s fist carried a howling sound and scorching heat as he smashed it towards Leo’s head. Leo remained unfazed, activating his spiritual power and meeting the attack head-on with his own fist.
The collision created a thunderous “boom,” as if a sudden explosion occurred on the ground.
Leo stepped back one pace, while Eden Dunbar staggered three steps backward. His face looked somewhat grim as he couldn’t help but shake his aching arm.
This kid had an incredibly strong power.
Leo didn’t want to prolong the fight, so he swiftly used both hands and unleashed three quick slashes of Qi aimed at Eden Dunbar’s throat, heart, and thigh.
Although Leo’s attacks were invisible, Eden Dunbar, being a martial cultivator, had a keen sense of danger and sensed the approaching threat. He retreated several steps and struck forward fiercely with both fists, surging his internal energy to disperse the three Qi blades.
The three attacks failed to hit their target, and Leo’s expression turned grim. Eden Dunbar’s strength was far superior to that of Rex, Steward, and Andy. Leo knew he couldn’t take him down in a short time.
