Chapter 52: Let’s Get Divorced

Dr. Lee walked up to Renee with a tired expression and said, “Ms. Browne, now that your daughter has been saved by the little miracle healer Leo, I shall take my leave.”
“Dr. Lee, if it weren’t for you, Anna wouldn’t have made it until now. I don’t know how to thank you,” Renee maintained the necessary respect for Dr. Lee.
“No need for thanks. It’s my duty, given the relationship between your father and me. From now on, the title of miracle doctor should be passed on,” Dr. Lee said, walking towards Leo.
“Leo, my young friend, I’ve been practicing medicine for many years, and I’ve never admired anyone’s medical skills until now. You’re the first. I wonder if I can learn something from you in the future.”
“Dr. Lee, you’re too kind. It should be me seeking advice from you,” Leo replied, showing respect for the elder.
Dr. Lee was, after all, an elder, and he deserved such respect.
“Leo, how about leaving your phone number?” Dr. Lee took out his phone.
Leo gave him his number, and Sophia was taken aback by how much the renowned Dr. Lee admired Leo, an outsider in the medical field. It felt surreal, as if she were dreaming.
The current Leo seemed like a character existing only in her dream.
To confirm whether she was dreaming, Sophia pinched her thigh, and it hurt.
Leo felt that it was time for him to leave. He walked up to Renee and said, “Ms. Browne, after Anna wakes up, she will need to take traditional Chinese medicine. Bring me paper and a pen. I’ll write a prescription for you.”
Renee called a nurse and had the paper and pen brought to Leo.
Leo wrote down the prescription and explained, “Get the herbs according to this prescription, simmer them over high heat for an hour and then over low heat for two hours. Give it to Anna to take, and she should continue taking it for seven days, three times a day without interruption.”
“Thank you,” Renee said, accepting the prescription with both hands.
“All right, I should be going now,” Leo said.
Leo didn’t even think about asking for a consultation fee. Saving a young life was more important to him than anything else. Besides, making money was not an issue for Leo right now. He could just bet on a few stones.
Once a person reached a certain level, they didn’t place as much value on many things anymore. For example, Leo was currently more interested in cultivation above everything else. The Nine Heavens Star Chart had taught him that once spiritual power accumulated to a certain level and his breath became longer, he would undergo a breakthrough.
This meant that the spiritual power in Leo’s body was not limited to its initial amount. Through cultivation, he could upgrade it.
“Mr. Bloomer, wait!” Renee called him back.
Leo turned around, and Renee handed him a black card.
“What’s this?” Leo wasn’t sure.
Renee explained, “This is the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon Card. With it, you can enjoy all the services of the Azure Cloud Group for free, including accommodation, meals, education, and medical care.”
Leo looked carefully at the black card, and on its front side, there was a five-clawed golden dragon, seemingly floating on the surface of the card, vivid and lifelike.
“I just came to help out of sympathy. I cannot accept it,” Leo declined.
“Mr. Bloomer, last night and today, you saved Anna twice. Anna is my life. Saving Anna is like saving both me and my daughter. If you don’t take this card, my conscience will never be at peace,” Renee said sincerely and solemnly.
Since she had put it this way, refusing again would seem affected. Leo could only accept the card from her.
“By the way, Mr. Bloomer, if you need any help, just call the number on the back of the card. In general, your needs will be taken care of,” Renee added.
Leo flipped the card over and saw the number written in the lower right corner: Azure Cloud Group’s Supreme VIP Service Hotline 800…
The back of the card was simple, with only a phone number and a blue cloud adorning it.
Once they left the hospital’s gate, Leo and Sophia hailed a taxi. Sophia’s Mercedes was still at the 4S store for repairs.
Meanwhile, at a corner outside the hospital, a guy with dyed yellow hair dialed a number.
“Scar, that guy has left the hospital.”
“Keep an eye on him. Inform me of his exact location in an hour.” A rough male voice came from the other end of the phone.
Scar was currently enjoying a foot massage in a salon.
Last night, Scar was playing pool when Colby William called and offered him a hundred thousand dollars.
Having money delivered to him was something Scar welcomed.
Colby’s request was simple: break one of Leo’s legs.
This kind of task was commonplace for Scar, and it was easy as pie.
Especially after receiving some information about Leo from Colby, Scar was even more delighted.
Leo was just a freeloader with no money or power. Scar could even have two of his henchmen deal with Leo, without having to do it himself.
However, to show respect to Colby and the ten thousand dollars, Scar decided to handle it personally.
So, early in the morning, he had one of his henchmen keep a close eye on Leo’s movements. When Scar had had enough rest from fooling around with a vixen the previous night, he would complete the ten-thousand-dollar task.
Leo and Sophia hadn’t eaten anything yet, as they came out early and went directly to the hospital.
They decided to find a restaurant first to soothe their empty stomachs.
They chose a restaurant.
As it was a weekday and working hours, the restaurant wasn’t too crowded. They found a seat by the window.
Sophia ordered the dishes: pan-fried goose liver, a colorful sashimi platter…
Today, Sophia was dressed in professional office lady attire, which fully accentuated her graceful figure. She was indeed eye-catching.
As soon as they entered the restaurant and sat down, the eyes of men inside occasionally glanced over at her.
Leo knew that his famous wife was beautiful. Over the past four years, he had already gotten used to Sophia’s high popularity.
Leo especially liked seeing Sophia in high heels and black stockings. He once had some wicked thoughts, like having her at home since she was his wife, after all.
However, Leo controlled himself. For one, the forcibly sweetened melon wouldn’t taste good, and second, he understood Sophia’s temperament. If she didn’t want something to happen, she would rather die than comply.
After a while, the dishes arrived, and they began to eat.
“Leo, I remember you wanted to talk to me about something last night,” Tina said casually, cutting a piece of goose liver.
Leo hesitated for a moment, then raised his head and looked at Sophia, saying seriously, “Sophia, let’s get divorced.”
