“Really?” Andres asked. He seemed to be in disbelief.
“Unless you don’t want to,” she continued. “There’s no reason why you and I can’t share the pool.”
“I thought you’d never ask,” Andres placed his phone, wallet and keys on the table.
Emma watched as he carefully stripped off his suit, putting every discarded clothing on a wooden chair with so much care. Emma was mesmerized when he started removing his underwear. She was shocked to see how huge he was. She had thought that was exclusive to werewolves and humans were much smaller. This guy broke the stereotype because he was packing.
“Ready?” he asked with a million dollar smile that made Emma feel like begging for him. He got into the pool and started swimming while Emma just watched him while feeling extremely horny. Emma started doing research on Andres’s computer to find out the best wooded areas around the city. When Andres came towards her, she closed the page.
“What’s going on?” he inquired.
“Nothing,” Emma said.
“Okay. Anyway, I just came to inform you that we will be going to my church tomorrow.”
“What? I’ve never been to church and I don’t think I should go there, given that I’m an unholy creature.”
“Nonsense. I’ve not seen you do anything evil since you got here. You’re even better than most humans I know.”
“I’m not really sure I want to go.”
“But I want to introduce you to everyone. Since I’m new here, the church members have been like family to me. They’re the only friends I have and I think they need to know that I met a wonderful woman.”
“But I’ll be leaving anytime soon.”
“Why? Do you hate living with me that much?”
“No, it’s very dangerous for me to continue living here. Andres, I’m a werewolf and I can’t spend my life behind gates. I’m wild and it’s only a matter of time before this becomes too much for me. This city is too close to where I came from. Pretty sure Axel has men looking for me.”
“You’re the on choosing to stay behind closed doors,” he insisted. “I want you to join me outside but you don’t want to.”
“Okay, I’ll go to your church.”
“I don’t want to pressure you.”
“It’s okay.”
That’s how Emma ended up going to attend a church service the next day. Before she entered the church, she had a feeling they would know that she was not a human, but no one found out, not even the pastor who claimed he could do miracles.
The people were very lovely, thought. She could see why Andres liked to be there. The church was like one big happy family. Even Emma was tempted to stay in the city so she could be friends with all the nice church members.
After the service, they returned home. While Andres went to the kitchen, Emma decided to first go and change from upstairs. She was removing the dress when she heard a scream. It was Andres’s voice. She quickly dressed and flew out of the room.
When she reached the landing, her hand flew to her mouth. Axel White was standing at the bottom of the stairs.
