I helped with a number of chores in the kitchen. I even found myself having a normal conversation with Cara and the other two women thereby getting to know them better. They were so much nicer than Grace and Mirta back in the slave kitchen. But then again, these two worked in better conditions.
Mrs. Mary Miller had two teenage daughters and her husband was one of the top warriors of the pack. Her counterpart Miss Agnes Keller had never got married and did not have children because her mate died when she was quite young. She had never been interested in being with anyone after that. She was proud of her spinsterhood, and loved that she had less to worry about compared to those who had husbands and children. As long as she was okay, she could sleep safe and sound.
I even found out that there a number of high fuel power generators used in the pack since hydroelectricity poles did not reach there. Back at the slave quarters, we only had solar energy for light and used rudimentary technology for everything. Apparently things were different in the main house. It made sense now.
When the food was ready, Cara was sent to find out if the alpha wanted to have his lunch already.
“Yes,” Cara said when she returned. “He wants to have his lunch right now, while having his lunch. He will not come down and wants eat in his unit.”
“What do you mean by the having lunch while having lunch statement?”
“You’ll understand soon enough.”
“Has he gone back to his old ways?” Agnes asked. “Miss Willow was such a good influence over him.”
“What old ways?” I asked.
I hated that I was being left out of the conversation and yet I needed to know as much as possible about my new master in order to reduce the chances of messing up. Now that I had moved to working in the main house, the last thing I wanted was to return to that slave kitchen.
Grace would probably empty all her frustration on me even though I had nothing to do with her niece running off and robbing her of the opportunity to work at a better place. Unfortunately for her, I had got the opportunity she had been excited about. I knew she must be devastated and feeling like killing Jane for not marrying the alpha in order to become the luna of Blackmoon pack.
“You’ll know since he wants you to serve him.”
My heart skipped a beat, before resuming furiously. “Wait, what? Why me? I haven’t been trained? I know nothing about serving.”
“Don’t worry. I’ll help you carry the dishes to the dining. Your work will be simple. Tell him what has been prepared, and ask what exactly he wants, serve and deliver to wherever spot he wants to eat from.”
“I don’t think I can do this.”
I was not sure I could maintain my composure around the man who had made my life a living hell by not making a decision. The man who didn’t care at all about the person the moon goddess had bonded him with. He was callous, and all I wanted was to yell at him.
“Well, you kinda have to. If you disobey an order on the first day, some terrible things might happen. I don’t think you want that, given that you recently just had a good beating.”
I sighed. “Okay.”
I decided to get on with it. It would be a good chance to get him to talk. We really needed to talk because I was running out of the little patience I still had.
“Hey, we don’t have to take the stairs.” Cara told me. I stopped and turned. She was rolling her food trolley towards the wall. She opened the door that was the same colour as the wall. I didn’t know that it existed. I moved my trolley towards there and saw an elevator door.
“This is for executive business only. Feel lucky to be able to use it.”
We entered the elevator. Cara pressed a button and we were quickly transported to our destination. “Let’s use that door, it leads to the kitchen.”
I followed her into a small hallway that had two doors. Cara pushed it open. I followed. The kitchen was very modern, but had little equipment. It did not look like it was used very often. “The dining table is over here.”
I followed Cara into the dining table. It was a black table with four straight backed chairs on the side. At one end of the rectangular table was an exquisite throne like chair. I rolled my eyes. The guy was too much. I looked around and admired the well decorated living room.
Just then I heard a loud cry, and my ears rose to alertness. Instead of hearing more cries, I heard moans and groans. Then I felt it. A sharp pain in my stomach. The dish I was holding fell through my hands and onto the ground. It broke into pieces and the soup spread all over the floor.
Cara was faster than me. In seconds, she had reached the corner of the room and retrieved a mop. “What is wrong with you?”
The pain was too strong so I went to sit on the nearest chair while groaning.
“What is going on here?”
I looked up and saw alpha Ridian in all his glory. I realised that the pain had dulled.
He was naked, and my eyes went straight to his crown jewels. I inhaled. He was huge. I had never seen anything like that. My heart was beating so fast and my body was heating up like crazy. I forced my eyes off his large erect member and looked into his face as I stood up. It was sharp, made of hard planes and handsome features.
“What is going on here?”
Cara stared at me, but I was tongue-tied.
“I’m so sorry, sir. Cilla, was quite nervous. She accidentally dropped the dish.”
“What’s going on?” a sexy blonde woman with a sheet wrapped around her visibly voluptuous body had appeared next to the alpha.”
I looked back at the alpha’s penis and noticed it was coated with some fluid. Her fluids. Suddenly, I felt nauseous and started to run away from there. I was not fast enough. The contents of my stomach loudly found their way to the floor just as I was about to open the kitchen door leading to the hallway.
“Ugh,” I heard Cara mutter.
I knew it. I had messed big time.
