“Has the business in Bright Moon made a profit yet?” Jesse hung up Cade’s phone and handed it back to Nydia.
“It’s getting there. With a few more months of this kind of business, we’ll make our investment back,” Nydia replied.
She never expected that the business in Bright Moon would be so good. Although the cost of ingredients was high, the prices of the dishes were also high, and they were able to make a quick profit.
“But I hope the rent doesn’t go up. If the landlord sees how well our business is doing and raises the rent, it’ll hurt,” Jesse said, with a slight smirk.
Nydia didn’t know that Jesse had bought the entire building, and was now her landlord.
“If the rent goes up, will you renew the lease?” he asked.
“I’ll have to, as long as it’s not too excessive. After all, I’m satisfied with the restaurant’s decoration, and the customers are familiar with it. But if the rent goes up too much, I’ll open another branch and slowly divert the customers there,” Nydia explained.
“You do have a brain,” Jesse teased.
Nydia puffed up her cheeks and looked at him. “Mr. Pascall, I’ll personally customize a dish for you.”
Jesse raised an eyebrow.
“Charcoal-grilled pig brain, tailor-made for you to make you even smarter and wiser!” Nydia joked.
Jesse’s face turned black. “I think it’s more suitable for you to eat.”
“I don’t need to supplement my brain. It’s a waste, and not very meaningful. It’s better to add a touch of color to your life,” Nydia said.
“I have money, so I’m not afraid of wasting it. If one isn’t enough for you, just eat more. Ten should do the trick. If that’s still not enough, I can open a pig farm just for you,” Jesse replied.
“… ” A picture appeared in Nydia’s mind of Jesse standing in front of a pig farm saying, “Look, these are the pigs I’ve specially bred for your brain!”
The driver wanted to focus on driving, but couldn’t help but listen to the banter between the two.

They arrived at the private room in Bright Moon.
When they saw Barclay, they were stunned. He had a scruffy beard, bloodshot eyes, and had lost a lot of weight. He looked very bad.
Willette also looked pale and lackluster. Even though she had put on makeup, it was not smooth enough, and there was some cakey residue, which was something that would never have happened before.

“How do we eat at this restaurant? Why not go to sister’s restaurant?” Nydia couldn’t help but comment.

“Ruthless? It seems like you have had a mental breakdown lately,” Jesse said, making Nydia pretend she wasn’t there and drink water.
“Barclay, speak nicely. We’re here to solve problems, not to argue,” Cade reminded him.
Barclay took a deep breath and looked at Jesse. “I hope you don’t hold onto me like this anymore!”
“When you stepped on me, you really went all out. Now, why are you so cowardly?”
Nydia stole a glance at their expressions, and sure enough, they all turned livid at Jesse’s words.
“At the time, my main goal was to divert everyone’s attention to help my company come back to life. My actions were indeed inappropriate, but they would only cause you a slight loss, and not have serious consequences,” Barclay was still struggling.
“Well, your tricks certainly can’t shake me,” Jesse nodded, then tried the food that was served and looked at Nydia with an expression that said, “I’m not quite satisfied with the taste.”
Nydia tasted it and found nothing wrong with it.
The interaction between the two completely ignored the other three people, who were all fuming with anger.

At this point, only Cade could speak up. “Jesse, here’s the thing. We want you to stop posting negative information about Barclay online and lend him some money. “Mr. Malone, Jasper went to Malone Group to talk to you about a partnership. Have you considered it? He also contacted me and said that if you refused him, he would work with me. I think this project is still good.”
