Sunny’s POV
“Sunny, where have you been? Henry has been looking for you.” Said Mira as soon as I stepped inside our house.
“I’m sorry, I forgot to tell you that Damon’s mother celebrated her birthday with us today too.”
Her eyes widened, “Oh really? God, I didn’t know that. Oh, alright then, why didn’t you give your gift to Henry?”
“H-Huh?”
“Your gift, you knitted gloves for him, right?”
“I will just go to my room.” I said as I walked past her. I even heard her call my name but I just pretended that I didn’t hear her.
When I was finally inside my room, I locked my door to make sure that Mira wouldn’t be able to sneak inside again, and then I crawled up on my bed. What happened at Henry’s birthday and a while ago is still clear to me.
He really loves my sister, and Mira loved him so much too. What can I even do with that? Right from the start I already knew that I don’t have a chance but I still hoped that he would at least like me back. I’m such a fool.
Sunny, you’re such a fool to think that someone like Henry would like someone like you.
Tears started to stream down on my cheeks as I buried my face on my pillow.
I love him so much… I love Henry so much…
Then my phone started to rang when I was just about to cry out loud. Great, now I can’t even have a time to cry and be dramatic. I took my phone above my side table to see who the hell in this world with no soul would call me at this time.
Speaking of no soul, the demon is calling.
“What do you want?”
“Hey nerdy. Have you told your parents about our visit?”
I rolled my eyes, “You really called me just to ask about that? I haven’t told them yet, okay? Now hang up the phone, I’m going to sleep.”
“Why don’t you tell it to them already? Tell it to them!”
“Hey, it’s already ten in the evening. I can just tell them about it tomorrow!”
“No, tell it to them or I will call them and I will be the one to tell it?”
I heaved a sigh as I sat up on the bed. “Damon, are you that excited about that meeting? Look, I don’t even know if they would actually agree with that, okay?”
“Just tell it to them now! Let’s have a video call.”
“W-What?! Are you crazy?! Videocall your face!”
“Hey nerdy, don’t you dare talk like that to your master! Turn on your camera!” He yelled. “And don’t you dare hang up the phone because I’m more than ready to sue you.”
There he goes again about that damn threat. “Fine! Just make it quick, okay? I’ll just tell them about it then I’ll hang up the phone.”
“That’s right, now turn on that camera of yours.”
“No, I will turn it on later.”
“Are you afraid that I might tell you how ugly you look? Don’t worry, nerdy, I’m already used with your face. I know you’re ugly.”
I gripped tight of my phone. “Well, at least I’m not gay like you.”
“W-What did you say?! Who’s gay?!!”
“I will turn on the camera now. Just don’t say anything about my messy room, okay?”
“I know you don’t know how to clean anyway.”
I turned on the camera and the bastard automatically laughed after seeing my face. “Nerdy! Hahaha! What the hell is the problem with your face?! Did you cry?! Hahaha! You look like a swollen panda! Hahaha!”
“And you look like a golden retriever puppy with that yellow shirt you’re wearing.”
“Well that only means I look cute, right? Puppies are cute.”
“No, you’re not definitely cute. You’re the kind of puppy who bites every single person that he sees, a puppy who’s not cute at all.”
“Shut up! Come on and let me see your parents! I don’t have much time to waste just talking with you!”
Oh really? He doesn’t have time that’s why he’s calling me in the middle of the night. “Fine your highness, I’m going to open my room’s door now, okay?”
Just when I opened the door, I already saw mom and dad standing outside my room, pressing their ears against my door. “Mom, Dad, what the hell are you doing here?!”
They both got surprised and quickly moved away, “O-Oh Sunny! Hahaha! Hi there, sweetheart!”
“Are you trying to spy on me?”
“S-Spy on you? And why would we even do that? No way!” dad said while exaggeratingly waving his hands.
That’s how exactly he looks like whenever he’s lying. “Your sister just told us that you left at Henry’s birthday party this morning. That’s why we were wondering where did you go.”
“She went to my mom’s birthday, Auntie.” Damon suddenly spoke from my phone.
Dad looked at my mom. “Who’s that? Someone just talked, right?”
“He’s over here, dad.” I said then I showed them my phone.
“Oh, is that Damon?! Hi there, Damon my son!”
Damon What? Son? What the hell?
“Hi dad!” Damon said while waving to them, “Hi mom!”
I almost puked because of what he just called them. He’s really a good actor. Acting like a kind, jolly man that he never was.
“So, you’re having a video call with Sunny even at this time? You are so sweet!” Mom cooed.
“Hahaha! Yes, I miss her already that’s why I called her.”
I rolled my eyes, miss your ass.
“Go on, babe, just tell them what you want to tell to them.” I said impatiently. I just want to sleep already.
“Something that you want to say? What is it? Don’t tell me Sunny is already pregnant? Oh my God! I knew it! I knew this gonna happen!”
“Mom! I’m not pregnant, okay? You’re over-reacting again.”
She looked at me, “You’re not pregnant? Then what it is that you want to tell us?”
“My parents actually want to see you.” Damon said.
“W-Wants to see us? Your parents want to see us?!”
God, what’s wrong with these people? They are all the same, such great actors.
