“You say that like it was a bad thing,” Lily jumped in with a little giggle and both men looked at her like she was crazy. Where did everyone’s sense of humor go, jeesh! “And will you let me go, James!”
“Not until your back to normal,” he replied, ignoring her attempts to peel his fat fingers off of her arm.
“Normal? He did not seriously say normal, did he? I haven’t been normal in years! I will never be normal! I’m a monster… a freak… a God damn abomination! I am anything but normal! So let me go or I will make you my dinner because I’m really hungry and you smell really good!” Lily said and to prove her point leaned over and sunk her fangs into James’ hand.
He swore as he and Andrew managed to pull her off of him. He really did taste as good as he smelled. She’d have to have some more of that, Lily thought as she started to giggle at their faces once more. Their expressions were priceless.
“I hate to say this but I think we should restrain her,” Andrew said and she snarled at him.
“I think you’re right. We should also get Dorin here and find out why the hell they didn’t protect her,” James said. He was holding her once more. She tried to fight against him, but he was actually incredibly strong. They forced her into a chair then Andrew left to find something to trap her with.
“You better let me go, James,” she told him, starting to really feel angry. “I’m about to get really ape shit pissed.” He had to audacity to start to laugh.
“I think I’ve seen you pissed before and I’m not worried,” he said with a stupid ass smile that made Lily want to rip the skin off his face just as much as it made her want to rip off his clothes.
“Then you’re a bigger idiot than I thought! You’ve never really seen me angry!” She growled at him. Andrew came back into the living room with Chris following him.
“What the hell has gotten into her?” Chris asked and James explained what happened.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, poor me, boo hoo! If you all really felt sorry, you’d stop treating me like a damn prisoner!” She yelled at them, but no one seemed to be listening to her and Lily was coming to her boiling point.
“The Aequivalere are on their way,” Andrew stated then looked at Lily hesitantly. “I don’t like the idea of using silver on her but if she’s dangerous…” Andrew said slowly unable to finish the sentence. These poor idiots had no idea how really dangerous she could be. They cuffed her wrists and ankles and she expected them to burn, but they didn’t.
“Wasn’t that fairy supposed to be the one protecting her? Where the hell was he?” James growled no one in particular it seemed.
“They don’t burn me,” Lily said in a sing-song voice and noticed once again that everyone was giving her that look – like she had grown a second head. “Why do you all look at me like that?” she snapped. “Geez, can nobody have fun around here?” She demanded and gave the cuffs on her wrists a sharp tug. They broke like they were made of cheap plastic. “Oops,” she giggled.
“Chris, can you go get the chains I have in the shed,” Andrew asked and Chris disappeared. “Tony can you help James watch over her while I go get something?” he asked his son who nodded.
“Be careful Tony… I think she may have lost it,” Liz said worriedly from the corner of the room where she and Sandy watched.
“You can’t have lost what you didn’t have in the first place,” Lily giggled. “You’re always such a bitch to me… you’re so stupid!” She growled at the alpha female. Liz started to say something back, but Tony told her to be quiet. Lily laughed again then stuck her tongue out at her brother’s mate.
Andrew returned with a little flashlight looking thing in his hand. “Hold her,” he told James and Tony. He turned it on and waved it over Lily’s. Lily shrieked and jolted as whatever that was burned her.
“What the hell! Are you crazy,” she screamed at him. “Get that away from me!” She almost freed herself, but James somehow kept her in his steely grip.
“It’s a UV light,” Andrew said with a frown as he shut it off. “She’s more vampire that’s why the silver didn’t work,” he explained.
“That’s bullshit!” Lily spat. “My heart is still beating, I’m breathing! I am not more vampire,” she snarled at him but neither did Andrew or anyone else say anything. Instead, they all looked like someone killed their puppy. Chris returned with the large chains and despite her struggles and protests they wrapped the heavy chains around her, forcing her to remain in the chair.
A few minutes later Dorin and Donovan entered the living room. The fairy’s head was bandaged. “So the fairy lives,” Lily sneered with anger at the sight of Donovan. This was his fault. He was supposed to have her back. The idea of playing bait was having someone there to prevent you from getting hurt!
“Where the hell were you?” James shouted as if reading her mind. Freaky, Lily thought with a giggle. “You were supposed to be watching her and keeping her safe,” James demanded to Donovan. The fairy narrowed his eyes and started towards them, but Dorin stopped him.
“Donovan and Cesar were attacked,” Dorin explained. “We didn’t anticipate or expect an attack on them, especially one as sudden and as brutal as this one. They nearly lost their lives.” James didn’t seem to care too much, Lily thought then turned her attention to the vampire who stood in front of her. “What happened?”
“I didn’t want to, but he made me,” she admitted quietly remembering the numbness and the inability to refuse the slightest command from the vampire king while under his persuasion though it wasn’t all bad. “It was amazing!” Lily exclaimed with a large smile, remembering the taste of Silvano’s blood. “It was so intense! I could feel him. Feel time. Feel his power!” She told Dorin, almost being able to feel the arousing power of it as she described it.
