“Yeah, yeah, yeah… She’s also here. Actually, she’s standing in front of me.”
“What?!”
“I’m not kidding, she’s talking to me, can you hear her?”
“No. By the way, get well. You have to, you must or else you can’t report it wholly.”
“Yes, sir.” he joked on. “I have to sleep now, I think the medicines are effecting now. When I’m okay, I will have to get a confirmation about that. Just wait and I’ll end the bond between.” he said then end the line.
He sighed. “Determined, uh… But you also need his help. What kind of brain do you have?” he whispered as if Hael could hear him.
It was the first half of his board exam when he decided to send a card for Grace but instead of sending it directly to her address, he send it to Hael’s address.
Hael,
I haven’t written anything to her but kindly give the card to her. I don’t know why I’m shy to send that. I hope you could do my request. Thank you and God bless.
Rovi
“Speaking of that card, I haven’t asked him yet about that. If he gave it or not, if not, then is there a possibility, that he read it? I’m curious but I can’t just accused him.” he said unto himself then closed his eyes. “I have to rest for a while.”
Hael forgot how did he and Grace became friends, all he remembers was they got closer and closer until Grace’s share a bit of her private life. He knew the fact the he can’t avoid the attraction but he chose the friendship which he can be closer to her until one day, she’s talking about JL. He was hurt when she said JL has someone else’s, that JL said, he doesn’t feel her love but one day, when Grace introduce Rovi, everything change. He can feel that Grace is happy without saying it aloud. He can see and feel how Rovi treasure Grace. He’s sure about Rovi’s feeling. He can’t deny his feelings towards Grace but that feeling makes him a better person when he and Rovi became friends. He had the assurance that Rovi won’t hurt Grace unlike JL. He’s assurance were getting higher when Rovi expressed his feelings towards Grace. He wouldn’t have to worry about Grace’s future if Rovi was the man. His assurance got higher when Rovi’s dream about Grace as his bride.
“Do you really mean what you said?” he asked.
“Yes. I mean it. It’s like when I love her like this, she will love me more, when she love me more, I will love her much, more from her love.” he replied then chuckled.
He secretly smiled when he heard his answer. “I’m not convinced, it’s not convincing at all.”
“I’m not convinced, it’s not convincing at all.” he whispered then he smiled. That’s his line every time Rovi says something that makes his assurance higher than he thought and imagined. He always answer that way to cover up his happiness for Grace. He felt his eyes became heavy; he just let his eyes closed until he fell asleep.
He woke-up from the sound he heard. He opened his eyes and looked around. He saw his brothers lying down and asleep.
“I need your help.” he heard from his left ear. He looked at the direction where the voice came from and he saw Grace. “I need your help, someone came inside my room.”
He stood-up and hurry to come out of his room. When he opens the door of Grace’s room, he saw someone standing near the bed and hold an injection. He also noticed that Grace’s sisters were asleep.
“Nurse, what is that?” he asked.
He caught her attention before she injects the apparatus on Grace’s dextrose. She looked at him with a wide eyes, she run towards him and pushed him aside to get out of the room. He was stunned but his mind worked faster, he removed his dextrose and run. He didn’t care if he was also chased by the nurses he passed through. He was running as fast as he can to get her but he lost her. He had no choice but to stop and listen to all the nurses who were chasing him and guides him to go back inside his room.
“Where’s Doctor Jimenez?” he asked the nurse who assists him.
“He’ll be coming back soon.” the nurse replied.
“By the way, do you have a nurse who’s five feet and four inches tall, tan complexion, she has a slim body, twelve inches hair length, bright eyes, wearing a pink doll shoes?”
“Pink doll shoes? Nurses who are in duty can’t wear any colour of shoes except white. Is there something wrong?”
“Oh, nothing and thank you, by the way, can I change my room? I want to have a roommate. Can I transfer to the next room as soon as possible?”
“These are private rooms.”
