“You can say that but I don’t want to be admitted at the hospital. Just buy this medicine for me, please…”
He looked at the paper and he was stunned when he saw the medicines written. “How? Does your family knew about this?” he asked.
“Yeah. They let me enjoy my life being alone, do the things I like. Just go and buy those, I’ll just cook soup for us then you can go home to rest.”
He had no choice but to buy the medicines his friend needs. When he got back, his chicken soup is ready. He smiled. “You can still cook in that kind of situation, uh…”
“Of course! So, where are the medicines I told you to buy?”
“Here. You must eat until you’re full before you take those.”
“Yeah, after this I’ll drive to visit them.”
“Are you insane? With that kind of situation, you can’t. I’ll drive.”
“You don’t have to concern yourself, I can drive and I won’t be driving home here after. I’ll rest there. You don’t have to worry.” he said.
Even though he disagrees about the idea of letting Hael drive alone, he didn’t had the chance to drive for him. He’s left no choice but to go home with a heavy heart.
“I’m glad you answered my call.” he said with relief.
“You worry about me as if I’m a woman. I just got home so you don’t have to worry. I’ll be fine. I’ll take some rest now.” Hael said.
He was at home, inside his bedroom and lying on his bed listening to the music when he remembers the sweet smile of Grace the first time they first met.
“After we got home from the airport, she had a minor injury on her head; she accidentally bumped her head. The doctor said that it’s just temporary loss of memory, well… Her memories came back but it seems it end-up into a selective memory lost which she forgot the most memorable happenings on her life. According to her doctor, it can be heal but they can’t guarantee when, that’s why we stopped her treatment and let her gain those memories on her own in time.” says Mjay.
He can’t help but to shed tears. He will do everything just to make her memory back. He will make her gain her memory when she woke-up. He will make her feel his love. “Did you receive the only card I sent you almost four years ago?” he asked through the air. “I miss you, Grace. I hope you could hear me right now. If only you could hear me.”
“Pink sneakers?” JL asked.
“Yes, the one who hit the girl is wearing pink sneakers. That’s all I saw. I have to go now.” she said.
JL decided to look for the witnesses early in the morning, it’s been one week after they knew that the suspect has a birth mark on her left hand which is really visible and now, the one had a broad clue which is a pink sneakers that was worn by the suspect.
“We have to rest, you look haggard.” Grace said.
“No, I won’t until we get all the clues we need!” he yelled at. He saw her facial expression; it was obvious on her face that she was shocked. He tried to calm his self but it didn’t work.
“You said; you want to visit me, right? My family may be clueless right now on why aren’t you calling nor have a visit.” she said.
He decided to visit her body and to look on how the doctor treats her. He was a bit celebrating when he heard that the doctor wasn’t around at the moment so he had the chance to take a long stare on her beautiful face. He heard some knock at the door. He saw a person wearing pajamas with a cotton jacket and a bonnet. He saw him smile on Grace’s family. He entered the room and went ahead the side of her bed.
“Babe, wake-up! As you can see, I’m left no choice. I was admitted here next to your room but it’s okay at least I can visit you any time of the day, every time I want to, every day.” he said then kissed her forehead. “Auntie, I have to go now. I just visit her to say that. Sorry for intruding.” he said then coughed.
“Get well.” he heard Mjay said.
“I will. You knew how I hate having myself admitted here. I just don’t have any choice, my family decided that for me. I must go now.” he said the left the room.
The man who just left, the room was familiar but he can’t remember who and where did he saw him. He looked at her face once again; he realized that if she didn’t save him, he’s the one lying down on a hospital bed and maybe the worst scenario. He was thankful at the same time guilty.
“That guy is at the hospital, inside her room.” Hael said on the line.
“How come you knew?” Rovi asked.
“I was admitted here next to her room.”
“I told you…” he says and heard him coughed.
