“No, I’m not fooling you.” He gets his bag pack and pulls a plastic with an object in it. “Are these look alike?” he asked.
“A bracelet made of pink beads and shells.” he redundantly says while looking at the picture on his phone. Hael slept on his hospital room which he had no choice and left him without waking him up. He is searching for the sketches Hael drew but he didn’t found anything, not even a piece of a small stripped of paper. “So careful of not leaving any clues, uh…” he whispers. “You just sent this picture.” he said and sighed then fell asleep on the chair. He was worried about how did Hael left without any sound that could wake him up.
He smiled. “Looked at it carefully.” he said. “You can’t guess?” he asked.
He nods.
He sighed. “It’s a birth mark.” he said. “Well, I saw this but to verify it, I asked someone who’s at the crime scene that time so… I can say it’s not just what I saw.” he said then he colour the shoes of the suspect.
“Pink sneakers? What’s the relevance of pink shoes?” he asked.
“Well, I saw the shoes of the suspect but to confirm it, I asked someone who’s also a witness and it’s confirmed!” he said. He drew a wristwatch.
“Seven-one? What is that?” he asked with curiosity.
“Seven hours and one minute in the morning. I asked those students who were sitting near the side walked of the university and they said, they saw someone who’s riding a bike. They confirmed it that it’s the exact time she parked in front of them.”
“How did they know the exact time she parked?” he asked.
“They said, they were early on their first class so they decided to sit near the side walk of the university since they were early. They were eating and chatting when one of them looked at the time and there someone parked in front of them at the same time.” Hael explained.
“I see…” he said while nodding.
“They also said, they can sense hesitation, they can hear her deep breath, one of them saw that she even closed her eyes for a while before she drove away and they can see the raised of her chest and hear the wild beat of her heart.”
“What do you mean?”
“What I mean is there’s a hesitation and that means it’ll may be the first time she may going to do something that would injure a person extremely. Did you get what I point?” he asked.
“Yes. Are those clues enough to get the suspect?”
“No. One thing is missing, the plate number. I saw the plate number but I haven’t confirmed it yet.” he said.
“I see, so you were looking for witness you said earlier.”
“Yeah, but I already found him yet he’s still in the denial stage which it makes me feel that he may know the suspect we are searching for.”
“I see…”
“Plus, even if I may confirm the plate number, it’s difficult for us to detect who’s the owner. We have to cooperate on the police who’s investigating this issue first then we can talk to the authority from the registrar section for vehicles. If only we have connections inside, it won’t be that difficult.”
After taking a bath and wore his pale blue long sleeves and laboratory gown to check his patients and Grace if she’s doing fine. He saw Grace’s family. Her mother is calm while looking at her daughter’s face. He gets her hand to bless.
“God bless.” she said to him then smiled.
“I’ll just check her pulse and heartbeat. Mjay, do you manage to do the massage I taught you before?”
He saw her nod while smiling. “Good. That would be a great, it’ll be a big help for the circulation of her blood through her veins. Talk to her regularly. Nurses would look after her later.” he said then left. His one week at the hospital, it’s been one week after Hael’s report. He haven’t heard anything from him after he left him without a word. He was about to drive when his phone ring. “Yes?”
“Dude, if you have time can you visit me for a while?” Hael asks between his coughs.
Without any word, he drove to the way where Hael is living. It’s thirty-five minutes ride from the hospital to the house of Hael. He knocked three times and the door opened.
“Come in.” Hael says with the voice of having colds.
He saw him wearing pajamas with his grey jacket and bonnet plus a blanket all over his body. “What happened?” he asked.
“I caught fever, colds and cough.” he said in a matter of fact tone.
“It looks terrible, you’re over-acting.” he commented.
He chuckled. “You can say that because you’re not one who can feel the chill inside.” he said.
“Let me see…” he touched his forehead. “Are you out of your mind? You’re burning like an iron.”
He laughed then coughed. “I know; it started about three or four days ago. I haven’t yet consulted a doctor so I called you.”
“You’re acting like an idiot! You have to admit at the hospital and make some tests.” he said.
“I don’t want to.”
“You’re insane!”
