Horace waited for a long while when he finally saw Selina rushing down the stairs.
He hastily opened the car door, “How is it?”
Selina directly hurled the stack of documents into his hands as she announced, “Horace, I’m not doing this anymore. You can look for someone else!”
Upon hearing that, Horace’s expression changed drastically, “Selina, are you fucking kidding with me? You have spent so much time up there, yet you are pulling out now? Weren’t you just there to negotiate a contract? We have gone through the details and committed them to memory last night.”
“Oh… You think that it’s that only to negotiate a contract? Why not you go yourself?”
Horace’s face became gloomy when he heard that, “Why is that important? This is not your first time sleeping with men, no? What’s wrong? You only care about your enjoyment, and now you’re not going to care what will happen to me?”
“Horace!” Selina shouted sternly, “What the hell are you talking about?”
“What the hell am I talking about? You dare to comment on me when you’re nothing better! I want to see for myself how you are going to make a fool out of yourself!” Immediately after saying that, he started to grapple with Selina’s attire.
Selina struggled mightily, but having suddenly lost what he thought he would get his hands on had driven Horace into a frenzied state.
With a loud slap, Selina slapped Horace across his cheeks, “Horace, you’re just a barbarian!”
She had put too much force into her slap, so a trace of blood appeared at Horace’s mouth. He licked the traces of blood at the corner of her mouth with a perverted smile, and he suddenly laughed coldly, “You are giving up on the Jones Group by doing this?”
The Jones Group…
Of course, she still wanted the Jones Group for her mother’s sake, but if her mother was at home, would she want to see her sacrificing herself just to get her hands on the Jones Group? She had made a mistake once, was she going to make another so soon?
Seeing that Selina was drooping her heard without making a sound, Horace felt extremely smug. As expected, the Jones family was this woman’s weakness. As long as he mentioned this, he would able to make her submit to him.
However, the next second, she snorted coldly without warning, “You can do as you please! Horace, I don’t care about what you will be doing anymore. Let’s get a divorce!”
“What?” Horace suddenly felt himself unable to produce a reaction. “Are you crazy?”
“Whatever! You can say that I am crazy, I don’t care. I don’t want the Jones Group anymore, and I don’t want to care about the people from the Jones family anymore. Let’s divorce!”
As she said that, she turned around, ready to leave.
“In your dreams!”
Horace once again grabbed her, “Even if you are giving up on the Jones Group, I will still not divorce you. No matter where you are in the world, you will always be Horace’s wife.”
“Let go of me!” Selina mustered all her might to swat away Horace’s hand. “I am not going back with you anymore.”
However, she couldn’t overcome his strength as she was shoved into his car. The car then roared into life and left the place.
…
While they were back in the Keith family, Horace dragged Selina all the way from the car back to her room and locked her in there.
Lindsay watched her son grappling with that woman and revealed a disgusted look on her face, “I have told you many times that this woman is a source of disaster. You would be better off if she is shunned from the house, but you insist to leave her behind.”
“I don’t need you to worry about my matters. Keep the key to the room well, remember don’t let her out.”
Lindsay was ecstatic when she heard that, “Son, you are finally enlightened. If you ask me, we should torture this woman to death.”
Upon hearing that, Horace let out a cold laugh, “I will torture her, no less, but a death… will be too cheap a price to pay for her!”
In the room, Selina slammed the door hard while shrieking, “Horace, let me out now! You are violating my human rights. You are committing a crime!”
Lindsay muttered disdainfully, “You are the daughter-in-law of the Keith family, what do you mean we are violating your rights? Let me tell you, even if the emperor comes, we won’t be the least bit afraid!”
Lindsay was an uneducated one in the first place. If not for her son, Horace, she would still be in a faraway village in the countryside. Therefore, she had the typical stubborn and ignorant demeanour. Selina yelled at the top of her lungs for a long time, but in the end, there was no one who opened the door for her.
