“Stop there!” I yelled at them.
“Don’t you dare….” Using authority I glared at them but they ignored me and proceeded to walk toward me with a handcuff.
I watched with terror as the warriors handcuffed me and push me forward while dragging me to God knows where. I fight my emotions as the warriors glanced at me with a disgusted look taking me by surprise, there are the same faces that always held respect for me but now they glared and cursed at me which still baffles me for all this thing surprises me. As we walk past Nengi I glared at her but she gave me a taunting smile, I know that this is one of her stupid handworks.
As we walked I noticed the pack members crying and weeping not without giving me a hateful look, the whole place echoing with cries, and grief as everyone seemed to be in agony. My heart aches as I watch them though not knowing what was going on. Reaching the end, I hear the cry of hurt and devastated mate like someone who lost her mate.
Stretching my head, I noticed the two twins with a scowl and hardened expression behind them is Virginia crying and being held back by the omegas trying to calm her down. Her cry echoed the whole place, the beta and his family were also present together with Nengi’s father except Alpha Den.
“Ouch!…..” I whispered as the warriors pushed me to the floor in front of the rank members, in the middle of everyone. My hands held with a cuff at the back, I stared at everyone except the twins as their eyes and faces scared me.
“What is going on…?” I mumbled to Heaven.
“I don’t know but something doesn’t feel right,” she replied.
“Why is everyone crying?” I questioned again with confusion.
“It looks like a place where someone died….” She muttered.
“How could you! How could you?” I was snapped back by Virginia’s words, I surprisingly stared at her.
“How could you!…..?” She cries out as the omegas kept sweeping her tears and muttering sorry confusing me more.
“I have always known that this girl was full of evil,” The gamma shortly declared, causing me to snap my eyes at him.
“I am disappointed….” He said.
“This is confusing….” The beta quietly voiced out pain and hurt.
“She will be locked up,” Nicholas announced as Derrick shut his eyes.
“What is……. going…. on?” I confusingly asked because I can’t get why I should be locked up. My question makes Derrick quickly snap his eyes open as they coldly glared at me.
“You are still asking questions?” Nicholas furiously lashed at me. I so much wanted the ground to open and swallow me up.
“The warriors and some of the omegas said that they saw you enter Alpha Den’s room with a cup of coffee, right?” Derrick quietly asked though there was anger and disappointment in the tone of his voice.
“Yes, I was informed by……..
” ENOUGH!” He growled, shutting me up.
“From the doctor’s report, it was said that the coffee was poisoned,” he coldly voiced out as the whole crowd screamed in horror. Blood suddenly dried out of my face as I gaped at him with my mouth open, no words seemed to come out of my lips.
“You have succeeded in killing him,” Nicholas let out a bitter smile.
“No! No! I didn’t kill the Alpha….” Wiggling my head, I screamed with terror and panic.
“Then what were you doing in his room for a long time?” The beta undoubtedly asked.
“Believe me, I didn’t kill the Alpha…..” I cried out.
“Explain yourself….” Lucien disappointedly muttered.
“Are you crazy there is nothing to explain,” the gamma snapped
“TELL ME WHY YOU KILLED MY FATHER!” Derrick roars in anger and rage as his two eyes turn cold and dark. The crowd suddenly shifted uncomfortably as the atmosphere turned tense and cold.
“I was informed by Jessy the omega that Alpha Den instructed me to bring him a coffee in his room,” I said in one go as tears welled up my eyes.
“Inside his room? My father has never requested a coffee at night, not even in his room,” Nicholas harshly snarled. Crawling back as tears kept flowing down my cheeks.
“Where is Jessy?”
“I said,” Where is Jessy…..?” Derrick severely questioned.
“I… I….. here,” hurrying to the front she nervously muttered.
“What is she talking about?” Nicholas coldly snapped at her, she flinched back staring at Nengi who gave a deadly glare causing her to cast her head immediately. I saw their eye contact and that’s when it dawned on me that I was being taken advantage of, everything was a plan all this while. How could I not see the handwriting on the wall? My heart breaks as I stare at Jessy with pain and disappointment.
“I asked you a question?” Nicholas growled at her.
Flinching back she shortly replied, “I don’t know what she was talking about…..
” Jesse!…..” I bewilderingly gaped at her.
“Please, Miss, please I don’t know what you are talking about….. I was in the kitchen throughout tonight helping the head chef to prepare food,” she denied. I turned to the head chef who also nodded that Jessy was right, my heart felt heavy as I felt like I was suffocating. Everyone stares at me with disappointment, hatred, and anger.
“Isn’t it obvious that you killed our father?” Derrick sadly muttered.
“This is so confusing,” he murmured to our hearing.
“Then if you didn’t kill him, why are you trying to escape!” Throwing my bag to my front, Nengi muttered with a victorious smile on her lips.
“Ohh!….” The crowd screeched.
“I….. I….. a…. say…. ing…. t.. he…. truth, please… I……didn’t……ki…. ll. …Al…. pha…De….. n,” the words trembled out of my lips as I cried out, I know that no one could believe me but I seriously needed someone to tell me that it was just a dream and that I am right and innocent of this allegation but hell no they all stares at me with hatred and disappointments.
“The reasons were many,” Nicholas muttered.
“You have never wanted the mate bond and knowing that Alpha Den was the only one to bind all of us together as a mate that without him it couldn’t be held…..” Nicholas expressed.
“Then you killed him….” Derrick painfully muttered.
“I am telling the truth, Derrick and Nicholas please I didn’t kill the Alpha. Please believe me,” I desperately pleaded.
“How do you expect us to believe you? When you have hidden your identity away from me, but once I found out. What did you do? You wanted to reject the mate bond……” Derrick furiously snapped at me.
“Please, Virginia, tell them that I am….,” I didn’t get to finish as she coldly glared at me, the words got sunk into my stomach and my world felt like it was over.
“Luna for you….” Nengi snarled.
“Lock her up……” Derrick suddenly muttered as I shockingly gawked at him.
“She will be executed after three weeks from now, her head will be used for my father”s burial,” Nicholas spits before storming out of the place with Derrick and Lucien. My heart ails as I watch my mates coldly announce my death, it breaks into two when none of them believed a single word from me. The guards surgery me and pushed me into the penitentiary, closing the door. I noticed Nengi’s devilish smile as she wickedly waved goodbye at my face before the penitentiary door was closed.
“Ahhh!!!……. I frustratedly screamed in pain and grief. It is over with me.
