Mira’s pov:
“How have you been, Mira baby,” Virginia asked.
“Great, dear….” I muttered with a small smile. Sitting around the dining table with Alpha Den, Virginia, Derrick and Nicholas the atmosphere was awkward, especially for me. I look troubled and uneasy.
“I would like to start training….” Slowly sipping my drink, I muttered.
“Really!…. that will be great,” clapping her hands, Virginia exclaimed with a smile.
“Yes, it has been long since I last trained,” I confessed.
“That’s great news, you know that,” Alpha Den muttered.
“Yes, but I don’t know who to train me….. You know that my fighting skills are now odd,” stretching the nape of my neck I embarrassingly mumbled.
“Oh! dear, it is nothing and besides Derrick or Nicholas will love to train you….. right Denny?” I nervously shifted in my chair as the atmosphere looked tense and awkward.
Shortly after staring at me, he looked away as he sipped his drink before he mumbled: “I am busy, she should look for someone else for that……” I gave Virginia a small smile before looking away.
“Really!!… Hmmm, Nicholas baby, are you free?” She asked with hope in her tone.
Grumbling, staring at them, he continued typing on his phone ignoring his mother’s question. “I asked you a question, Nicholas…..” She let out.
Raising his head, he deadly glares at me before diverting his attention back to his mother “Do I look jobless to you…?” He angrily voiced out.
“Nicholas….. just make out a small time for her, your mate,” Virginia tenderly muttered.
“Wow!…. Now I should make out time for my mate, right?” He sarcastically mumbled.
“What a way to convince me but you know what, I am too busy to waste my time on that smug….” He sneered devilishly.
I instantly swallowed hard with difficulty as I stared at Virginia bewilderingly gaping at him, “Nicholas…..” She murmured.
“That was mean, what have the poor girl done to you,” Alpha Den exclaimed with disappointment as he glanced at Nicholas.
“You don’t call her names again!” Derrick warned. I feel like the ground is opening and swallowing me up. They kept exchanging words like I wasn’t the person that they were talking about. I felt like I was dead as nobody could acknowledge my presence. My heart broke at every single word that Nicholas uttered.
“Come on!…..” Nicholas yelled, “You thought you had the guts to talk to me just because the moon goddess mistakenly gave you the little opportunity to share my wife and mate with me, right?” He snarled.
“Watch your tone, the moon goddess never makes mistakes!” Alpha Den blasted.
“She is my MATE!!” Derrick growled.
“But so bad she is my WIFE AND MATE!! Nicholas furiously roared in anger.
“The wife and mate that you never wanted,” Derrick drawled with a taunting brow.
“Nicholas but you have always despised Mira, why all of a sudden you are this possessive?” Virginia asked with confusion.
“Good! Good!….. Ask him, all of a sudden he wants her,” Derrick muttered.
“That’s what you have always been good at, supporting him even when he is wrong…..” He proclaimed.
“I don’t do such things! I am just confused,” Virginia defends.
“What is wrong with that?” Derrick hummed as Nicholas let out a warning growl.
“If you aren’t supporting her then what are you doing?” Banging his hand on the table, he blasted with anger and rage causing me to flinch back as his sudden action took everyone by surprise. Derrick gave him a teasing smirk as Alpha Den let out a thunderous growl.
“Since none of you want to behave and even have the guts to talk to your mother in that matter,” he paused as he scanned everyone’s face. “I think the best thing to do now is for her to reject you all and the bond so that everyone will go their separate ways…….” He openly declared.
“What!!!….” Everyone said in unison as I bewilderingly snapped my head to him. Though I looked surprised I was happy at the same time, Alpha Den gave me hope that I still have some chances to escape this misery and that I wasn’t going to suffer here for eternity.
“Never!…” The two siblings declined, jerking me back to reality. My throat sank into my stomach as they possessively glanced at me.
“MINE…..” They howled in unison causing me to shrink deeper into my chair with fear and terror.
“Which one is yours? If she was to reject anyone it should be you and not the other round,” Nicholas snapped.
“You wish….….” Derrick smirked at him.
“She is going to reject you guys!! Enough of this madness,” Alpha Dem impatiently growled. “You guys don’t know what you have,” he mumbled with dismay.
“Yes! And she is going to reject you now,” Nicholas’s eyes turned darker “Now I command you to reject him and cut off any knot or tie you have with this idiot……” he coldly snapped at me.
I flinched back, my face looking flush as I felt my blood drain “I……. I….. I….. My lips twitched as Derrick coldly glared at me causing the word to get stuck in my throat.
” You must be fucking stupid to think that she was going to reject me…..” Derrick smirked with satisfaction.
“What’s stopping you….?” He calmly asked me as the word rolled out dangerously and evilly from his lips as his warning flooded into my head.
“I….. I Mira….. I….. The more I forced the word out it still couldn’t seem to come out, it looks like my voice was in control of its own.
” Don’t you dare!!…” Derrick let out a threatening growl. Tears stung at the corner of my eyes as I glanced at the two of them.
“Yes, come on! You are doing it,” Nicholas wickedly mumbled as he gestured for me to continue.
“Looks like your wolf is not in this with you,” Derrick let out a bitter smile.
“You have to force the word out!!” Nicholas screeched.
“Heaven, please, we need to reject the two of them for our sanity…..” I begged my wolf.
“Sorry I can’t do this with you, Mira,” Heaven whimpered.
“Please, I am in a state of dilemma. I don’t know what to do?” I cried out.
“I understand but that doesn’t mean that we have to make a mistake, please,” She whispered.
“What is holding you? remember,” he uttered as a wicked smile curled up his lips.
“Please, Nicholas….” Kneeling instantly I mumbled.
“I feel disappointed in you two,” Alpha Den murmured with sadness. Despite how cold his expression appeared to look, there is a hint of sadness in the tone of his voice.
“Why are you kneeling? You can’t be afraid of this coward when I am here,” Derrick’s eyes dangerously glow making me look more scared, causing me to rapidly crawl back in panic.
“NEVER!!…” Virginia quickly exclaimed, causing everyone to draw their attention to her as everyone’s eyes got fixed on her.
Standing up, she glares at every single soul before her eyes land on me, a genuine smile curled up her lips “I am delighted when I heard that Mira was mated to my two sons at first it was confusing but as time goes on I come to see that it was for the best…..”
“Yes, Nicholas, she is indeed married and at the same time mated to you but that doesn’t mean that she was going to reject Denny…..” Pausing, she glanced at her sons before continuing her words “The only difference is that she is married to you Nicholas and I have agreed with your dad that at the next full moon during the coronation of the future Alphas and Luna that she will be married to your brother Denny……” Virginia dropped the damn bomb, tears freely roll out of my eyes. I thought I was in a saver’s hands.
“You are joking right?” Nicholas surprisingly muttered as Derrick’s smile widened. My fear grew more as I gazed at Virginia with shock and panic. I thought that I was going to escape this misery but here is Virginia talking about me getting married to Derrick which means that this misery will continue for eternity. Can’t she see that this wasn’t going to stop? It is going to continue if things are not carefully taken care of.
“I won’t share my wife with anyone! She belongs to me and me alone,” Nicholas glares.
“Since we were small I have left everything for you even the things that solely belong to me but you this one I won’t back down even if it means fighting for her till death I will do it……” Derrick proclaimed with seriousness. My heart melted to his words, NEVER! I screamed at myself not to fall for his sweet tongues but to focus on a way out. Is just the mate bond playing tricks on me I mumbled?
“She is my mate!” Nicholas coldly rumbled.
“She is also my mate!” Derrick hummed.
“So bad she is my wife and that means that she is MINE!” he devilishly uttered.
“It is none of my business….” With a furrowed eyebrow Derrick reluctantly mumbled.
“STOP!!….” Alpha Den yelled, “Is this how you guys were going to rule this place when I pass the title to your hands?” He asked with dissatisfaction.
“Please, Alpha and Luna please I want to go inside,” I desperately muttered as my head felt like they were spinning. I am tired of this life, looks like I wasn’t going to make it alive here anyway. If they continue like this, that means that death will grace me soon because I don’t know if I am still capable or emotional balance to withstand all this drama, I am too small for this whole thing.
“You okay….” Virginia asked with concern.
“Umm….” I nod with a small smile.
“Fine you can leave,” Alpha Den motioned for me to leave, “I need to have a word with the boys….”He says.
“Okay……” gradually standing up I slowly bow to Virginia and Alpha Den leaving and exiting the place. I noticed eyes boring and a heated stare at the back of my head, ignoring the intense look I proceeded towards the door.
