Lochlan pointed at his sister, signaling him to hug her out of the car. When Myra got off, Lochlan hold Myra’s little hand and moved forward leisurely, leaving Regan following them anxiously.
They walked to the airfield where a private plane was waiting for them. When Reginald was about to get on, a pair of hands clutched his black trench coat from behind and called out with a baby voice, “Daddy.”
“Watch out! Lochlan!”
Reginald turned back with a curse, but at the sight of the little girl who was pulling on the corner of his coat and smiling sweetly, his body stiffened with great shock.
Lochlan came to Reginald as well. He looked at Reginald with an innocent look, “My sister smashed our car door with rocks, so I let her climb in through the door that you had forgot to close. There was a nanny outside looking for her, so I hid her under the seat and brought her here with us.”
Reginald’s eyes throbbed. He swept back and forth between the little girl and Lochlan, then he smirked and took out his phone to dial the secretary department, “Put out the news that my daughter who has been lost for three years has been found. I want all the media in Breton City to report it!”
Hanging up the phone, Reginald held the girl in his arms with one hand and stepped on the stairs to the plane.
Josephine, you wanna play with me?
Bring it on!
Josephine was like a cat on hot bricks. She went through the house with Daisy, but still failed to find any trace of her daughter.
Knowing that it was no use to call the police in such a remote countryside, Aaron drove out with Josephine to search in every place Myra was likely to go. Still, there was no trace of her. Josephine was both angry and anxious, tears streaming down her face and her heart almost jumping out of her chest.
Her phone rang at this time. Josephine took out it and saw an unfamiliar caller. She picked it up spontaneously, “Hello?”
But it hung up before saying anything.
Josephine got confused for a second, then she redial it, only to be prompted that the number she dialed was not available.
Aaron pulled over and took a glance at her. He reached out his hands, trying to answer the phone for her, but Josephine hold the phone to herself and quickly pressed the phone number that she couldn’t be more familiar with. The call was answered, “Hello?” “It’s me.”
A low, arrogant voice reached her through the phone, “Myra is with me now.”
On hearing it, Josephine got stunned, then shouted in anger, ”Son of a bitch! Give my daughter back!”
It was he!
He was really a devil to her. Every time he showed up, bad luck went along!
On the phone Reginald sneered, “Josephine, you can remember my number even when you get a new phone. Now you still claim you don’t know me?”
Josephine’s face turned white with anger. The hand holding the phone squeezed tightly, “What do you want?”
“I’ll give you a day to meet me at the villa alone.”
“You wish!”
She would rather die than go back, as there were too many bad memories there.
“Tomorrow you’ll see headlines about my reunion with my daughter. You have other options. Call the police, and get a lawyer! Whatever you do, you won’t win.”
Then, the phone was hung up with a thud.
Josephine grabbed her phone, her shoulders uncontrollably trembling and tears pouring down.
Josephine and Aaron immediately returned to the house. After Daisy packed their luggage, they boarded a flight to Breton City that night.
