“Uff!”I huffed as I dropped my body on the bed in my mom’s room. Unlike my dad’s, this is kept exactly like how she used to describe it and shown her pictures in.
“I am dead tired. What a day!” I exclaimed while I puled the covers to me, while Amanda chuckled.
“Sleep. We have a long day tomorrow as well.” She laughed. I wish I had little more strength to at least glare at her. But decided to ignore her teasing for now.
Sleep first. I will deal with her later.

“Ah!” I screamed, jolting awake from my sleep.
“Shit! I forgot!” I heard from beside me. I screamed from the unbearable pain in me.
This pain was unlike anything I have ever felt.
Even the period and migraine pain is nothing compared to this.
It feels like all the ants are scrawling around my body biting each and every part of me.
I could feel arms around me. Shouting for me to wake up, to open my eyes. But I can’t do nothing but scream in pain.
Please someone help me.
Take this blinding pain away from me.
It’s too much. Every bone, every corner is burning. Like someone is stabbing every point of my body. Please take this away.
Finally.
With a pinch on my skin I felt all the pain subsided in me.
“Kat! Don’t worry I am here.” I heard a voice beside me rubbing my back.
A voice I hadn’t heard in a very long time. A voice I have been missing a lot.
“Kat baby wake up. Eat something please.” He said.
“No Ry. I will vomit.” I replied back to him.
“Isn’t it better to vomit with food than without.” He asks while pulling me up.
“What kind of logic is that.” I asked laughing.
“Eat and drink lots of water. You know it helps.” He said while pushing a spoon towards my mouth.
Though I didnt’ want to I couldn’t ignore his effort.
He has not gone to the office and stayed to tend to me.
Speaking of which.
“Don’t you have a meeting now?” I asked remembering how he had been working his ass of for getting the contract today. With that he could get millions.
“I had asked Raven to do it. It’s time for her to do something of her calibre.” He said while taking the plate away from me after I was done eating.
“Plus I have a very sick girl friend who would love to kick me in my balls to have me suffer along with her.” He chuckled making me want to glare at him but thought, yeah he is right.
Though not his precious balls.
But seeing the way he is tending to me now I don’t wish this pain on him.
“If this is how you are taking care of me. I would take all your pain as well.” I croaked in pain as the next set has started.
“We wouldn’t want that now would we. Lest you really do kick me in my balls.” He joked while making me lay on my back while he massaged my head.
“Though in all seriousness, tending to your pain is much better than feeling useless when seeing you writhe in pain.” He said with one hand pressing on one side of my head and the other reaching towards the table to take my meds for migraine.
Christ, his hands are really powerful. It really does subside the pain I had been suffering from the past few hours.
“I really now understood what your book boyfriends are saying. ‘It breaks my heart to see you in pain’. It really does.” He said chuckling.
“You read my book?” I asked astonished while turning sideways to face him. Do men read books?
Sorry, I haven’t ever seen a guy read a book before.
“Yeah! I should see who I am competing against right? Where do you think I got all the romantic gestures from? They are my guide.” He said while getting under the covers as we cuddled.
With a smile on my face I fell deep into my slumber.
