“She is my niece.” said Uncle Nath from behind me.
Both the ladies turned towards him and was gawking at him. Oh, did I forget to mention that my Uncle was handsome? I did, didn’t I?
Well for a man in his late fifties he was very handsome with built body. He is a man who is very strict with diet and his workout. Which can be seen in his physique.
He leaned towards them and gave his business cards to the both of them to which their reactions was of absolute shock and terror. They handed it over to their partners and tried to move back as far as possible without giving out that they are trying to escape.
“I hope we have no problems here ladies?” asked my uncle, to which they shook their heads no and scurried away as fast as humanly possible.
I turned towards my Uncle who was now smiling at me as if he hadn’t scared the crap out of the ladies who was ready to take my head off.
“Here is your favourite chocolate ice-cream. Let’s go shall we?” He asked to which I nodded and we walked towards the car. It hadn’t gone unnoticed how Mandy’s mood has turned sour from her happy self.
How is Uncle’s business card capable of instilling fear upon the ladies and now Mandy? It surely isn’t my mother’s company’s influence. It surely must be something that he hid from me. I remember how my mother had once told me about her brother’s hidden business. Is it’s influence so big? If so why hasn’t I heard from him having problems with the company BlackJack while Mr. Scott’s company faces a lot of problem because of BlackJack Co. considering his company as a threat?

*back to present
I was brought out of the memories from the past two week because of my phone’s ringtone.
“Hello” I answered without looking at the ringtone.
“Mr. Simon was arrested just few minutes ago.” shouted Cassy, my co-worker, from the other side.
“What?” I exclaimed getting up from the chair so fast that the chair almost fell down if not for Mandy catching it. Mouthing to her ‘thank you’, I looked towards Richard.
“Why was Mr. Simon arrested?” I asked Cassy, still looking at Richard. He too got up fast and picked the car keys from his pockets and tilted his head as a sign for ‘come I am driving’.
“I have no idea. Just came out of my office to see the officers take him. Go to the police station while I will stay back to handle the chaos here.” Cassy said before she hung up.
I looked towards Raven and Mandy.
“Go, we will pay the bill and I will drive her to the office and come to the station as soon as possible.” Mandy said. I nodded.
Before leaving, Raven grabbed my hand, I turned towards her in question.
“Good luck.” She said to which I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
“You will need it.” She sighed. I couldn’t question her more as I heard the honk from outside. I looked towards her once more to which she just nodded to show her support. I nodded back before I ran towards Richard’s car.

The whole way to the station I couldn’t shake off the bad feeling in me. The only words in my mind was,
He shouldn’t be the one behind this.
The moment we reached the station I walked more like ran towards the station. But the sight in front of me had not only me but Richard stop as well.
But he couldn’t be here. This must be just like all those times where I thought I saw him but it was another person.
This time I didn’t t around to see if it was just my illusions or if he was real. I went to ask the officer where Mr. Simon was. It was the same officer who wouldn’t hand the laptop to me. This time too he didn’t allow me to enter, but the one who handed me the laptop walked towards him and asked him to show us where Mr. Simon was. By the badge on the officer it seems like he has had a promotion and is the superior of the grumpy officer.
I walked towards the cell he was in to see he was sitting on the bed in the cell with his head on his hands.
“Mr. Simon. What happened?” I asked.
He looked up surprised to see me. He walked towards the cell door and he held the bars tightly.
“Kat, I have no idea why I am here. They have been saying a bunch of terms and the only one that came out clear was about breaking some kind of clause in the contract with our recent company.” He sighed annoyed.
NO he didn’t.
“Where is Mr. Scott?” I asked looking at a confused Mr. Simon but directed to the grumpy officer and Richard next to me.
“He is over there discussing this with my senior most office. The person you saw at the entrance was him.” The office behind me declared. Did I detect pride in his voice?
I turned to look for the man in question to see he was already looking at me near to a officer with a smirk on his face.
“Long time no see Ms. Black”
“I see you have kept your promise, Mr. Scott”
