Nora’s face lowered and dared not to look at Kingsley. She knew that there must be an unfathomable character behind his gentle eyes. Her eyes reddened. She answered nervously, “I’m fine.”
She gritted her teeth and stood up to walk away hurriedly, ignoring others’ gaze.
After swiping the card, Nora went into the room and leaned against the door. She sighed with relief, but her heartbeat remained fast, as if it was about to jump out of her throat. And it took a while for her to calm down.
The juice spilled on her back was sticky, so Nora took off her evening dress and changed into a new one after taking a shower.
She did not expect Kingsley and the Vivienne would be here. Vivienne was a new actress as well as the spokesperson for the care products of the Rivertown Group. Either for commercial demands or some other reasons, Kingsley would always choose Vivienne as his female companion no matter what banquet he attended.
Nora sat on the bed for a while and texted Karina, “Sorry Karina, something happened and I gotta to leave first.” As she got up and opened the door, a man came into her sight.
Kingsley held the door with one hand and looked at her sharply.
He blocked the way, so Nora had no choice but to stay. She raised her eyes, looking into the man’s eyes, and pretended to be calm, “I’m leaving now.”
Kingsley sneered, then he grabbed Nora’s shoulder and pushed her back into the room.
The door was closed. Nora was pushed against the door before she could even resist.
Kingsley looked at her condescendingly with one hand leaning on the door, and a sneer appeared on his lips, “What are you doing here?”
His fresh smell lingered on the tip of Nora’s nose, and she could even hear her heartbeat, but she still managed to stay calm, “For fun!”
Was the party open to Vivienne only?
How unreasonable was that!
Kingsley’s eyes dimmed and lifted her chin gently, with a tone of sarcasm he said, “For fun or…to stalk me?”
Stalk?
Nora swore to God that she never had such an idea.
She really just came along the ride with Karina to join in the fun, but she didn’t expect to see Kingsley by chance.
Seeing that she did not speak, Kingsley got closer to her, with his lips next to her ears, “That means yes?”
Kingsley seemed to have noticed Nora’s fear. His smile widened and his lips landed in front of hers. His voice was raucous and low, “Have you forgotten what I told you?”
Kingsley didn’t say much to her before, so he could still remember what he had said. It was nothing more than staying out of his business and didn’t ever try to investigate him; be an obedient and invisible Mrs. Jiang. Then she could get what she wanted.
Since Nora just took a shower, there was a floral fragrance on her body, which really made Kingsley excited, and as he closed his eyes, some charming images flashed across his mind.
Kingsley’s eyes hazed and he suddenly bit on Nora’s soft lips.
Nora’s mind had gone blank. Her whole body got stiff as she felt his temperature. She was angry and scared at the same time, pushing him away and yelled, “Go away!”
“Go away?” Kingsley put a wicked smile on his face, “What if I refuse?”
His lips were right next to her face, and the coldness of the touch made Nora tightened her nerves.
