Chapter 67 Do You Miss Me

Book:Crush on You Published:2024-5-1

“Really? Thank you, rich man. Well, you don’t need to make a special trip here. I used to work the night shift, and I have saved some snacks.” Yaffe smiles, “You got here so late, so is Wiphy all right?”
“He’s already asleep.”
“Well.” Yaffe opens the box and discovers it’s the homemade-dish restaurant she went to eat today.
There are not many staple foods but there is soup, pastries and fruit. Everything is made delicately.
Yaffe looks at the size and frowns. “Should I share it with others or keep it to myself? You brought it here for me, and I don’t want to share it with others.”
Quinn is amused by her embarrassed look. “There is another one on the back of your computer for someone else.”
Yaffe’s eyes light up. “I will give them to the nurses on duty. It’s too tired to be on duty at night,” she says.
“OK.”
Yaffe sneaks out, and then dashes back a few minutes later, looking like she is in good mood.
It is the first time she thinks having on duty at night is a wonderful thing.
Yaffe takes the meal box and walks to the sofa and the table.
She bought the sofa and the table herself.
The standard furniture of a doctor’s office will be a desk, a computer, a bed and a filing cabinet. As for any other decoration, you can prepare them for yourself, but most people purchase nothing more.
She doesn’t like sitting on hardwood chairs for long, so she bought herself a set of sofas and tea tables.
The patients can use them, and colleagues can also come to rest during the lunch break. It is very convenient.
She often brings the sofa cover back for a wash to keep it clean.
Yaffe separates the food in half and hands Quinn the restaurant plate.
She takes the box by herself and begins to eat it with her spoon.
Quinn gives her a thumb up at the sight of her way to wolf down the food.
“Hey, rich guy, there’s something I want to ask. Don’t be angry,” Yaffe says as she eats.
“What is it?”
“It’s about the Thrive Group. It seems that its market value evaporated today. Is it because they framed me so you want to give them a hard time; or are you using this incident as an excuse to teach them a lesson?”
“Which reason do you want?”
“I…” Yaffe is speechless.
She likes the first reason, because it sounds like she’s being protected.
But if that’s the case, she will feel guilty.
To be honest, Molly’s intentions are evil, and she deserves to be punished, which she thinks is very pleasing.
But if it is because of this that the Wen family goes bankrupt, she will think that she has made a big deal out of nothing.
Quinn wants to laugh when he sees her embarrassed look. “Say something.” he whispers.
Yaffe takes a sip of soup and says, “Actually I would prefer it to be the first one, but it is the second, right?”
“Yes.”
“Can’t you pretend to deceive me so as to satisfy my fancy?”
Quinn touches her head. “You won’t believe me when I say that. I have two concerns about your injury. One is that you were attacked on the internet. I want to give you an identity, so others will respect you as the daughter-in-law of the He family. The second is the Wen family has done a lot of things that are not good for the He family and the He Group these years. But since Molly once saved Wiphy, I might not go too far, but that doesn’t mean I will tolerate it again and again. It’s time to teach them a lesson.”
“So, will it make things worse?”
“It depends on how they react. I would prefer to let them go bankrupt.”
Yaffe looks at Quinn in surprise.
Quinn looks back calmly at Yaffe.
Yaffe swallows as she sees Quinn’s look and tone are as relaxed as if he is talking about the weather.
Does he make a listed company go bankrupt so easily?
Yaffe can’t believe it.
After having the meal, Quinn leaves with his box.
Yaffe walks him to the car and sits back down on the couch. She still can’t calm down now.
Quinn reveals so much of himself in front of her that she often forgets about Quinn’s means in dealing with business.
If one day Quinn does that to her, she is definitely not a match to him.
She shudders at the thought.
She thinks that she has to treat Quinn and Wiphy well so that they won’t treat her too ban when they are in a bad mood.
Well, she has a very challenging life.
After staying up all night, Yaffe feels dazed and a little uncomfortable with her nose, but she can withstand it.
After washing her face, she goes to the hospital canteen for a quick breakfast.
Having a yawn, she then heads back to the office.
Anne has also arrived, placing snacks and milk on Yaffe’s desk. “Sis Qin, you should eat something easy to digest.”
“Thank you. I just ate in the canteen.”
“Then take it till you’re hungry.”
“Thank you, dear.”
Anne grins and goes back to work.
After two cups of coffee, Yaffe goes to the bathroom and applies the makeup cream to freshen up her face, which makes her look better.
Fortunately, there is nothing particularly demanding today, so she goes to the director’s office to listen to the schedule of the Spring Festival holiday.
She will be on duty until the twenty-ninth day of the twelfth lunar month, and then she has to go back to work from the fourth to the seventh day of the January lunar month.
Other doctors will be in charge when she is not in the hospital.
None of the doctors in their department is a native of Chandely, and she and another doctor will be on duty during the Spring Festival.
Others follow their own schedule.
Such arrangement is reasonable.
No one wants to be busy for a whole year and is still working during the New Year.
Yaffe is off work happily after sending out the vacation schedule in the department chat group.
Back at the villa, Wiphy and Wheele rush up to her.
Wheele turns its face away as soon as it smells the smell of disinfectant.
But Wiphy still hugs Yaffe vigorously.
Yaffe lifts his little butt in both hands and lifts him up to the villa. “Did you miss me?” she says.
Wiphy nods.
“Play with Wheele first, and I’ll go upstairs and take a bath. Shall we play football tonight?”
Wiphy nods vigorously again, pleased with Yaffe’s arrangement.
Yaffe goes back to her room, takes a bath and puts on a face mask, feeling refreshed.
On the way down, she finds that apart from Quinn, there are three other strange men downstairs.
They are supposed to be in Quinn’s class, and everyone is in good taste and good dress.
Quinn walks to the stairs and holds her hand when he sees her coming down the stairs. “I went to the hospital to pick you up, but you came back first,” he whispers.
