After finishing her words, Yaffe calmly looks at Lorin Mo.
“None of your business!”
“Your own body, you have the right to waste. Just hope you won’t trouble the doctors and others at the end of the day, and won’t hurt medical personnel taking care of you.” Yaffe softly says, “I’ll let nurse send you a new quilt.”
Then Yaffe opens the door, intending to go out.
“Stupid woman, did I let you go?” Lorin lashes out.
Yaffe turns around, looking at him peacefully without any impatience and with affability and indulgence.
Such affability and indulgence make Lorin simmered with rage.
What qualifications do these people have to show such an expression?
He looks at Yeffe coldly, “Clean this up!”
“I can help you clean, but I tell you first that this is not my duty.” Yeffe says, and goes out to fetch the broom and shovel, and clean the mess full of the room swiftly.
Lorin watches her sternly, the grimness on his face doesn’t abate a bit.
When Yaffe is about to finish up, the nurse in charge of Lorin comes back.
She is surprised by the sight of Yaffe, who then tells her to apply for new quilt.
The nurse responds and leaves for the quilt.
After dumping those garbage, Yaffe returns to Lorin’s ward, “Mr. Mo, I understand your feeling during recovering, but the process is inevitable. It’s not easy for everyone. Wish you could show mercy occasionally, don’t hurt yourself and trouble others.”
“You’re lecturing me? Who do you think you’re?”
“I don’t have such intention. My mom is your fan, she watches every movie and TV shows you played. When she knows you were hurt, she is quite worried. I believe the other fans of yours would share the same feeling. They are more concerned with your injury than yourself. Pull yourself together for them, even if not for yourself.”
“You actually believe those fools care much about me? If only I’m not present in front of the media for two months, they’ll call someone else husband.”
Yaffe is stunned, “Well, I couldn’t refute this point.”
“Get out!”
“Right away, goodbye, Mr. Mo.” Yaffe replied, shutting the door for him.
Lorin looks at the closed door, itching to strangle her.
When Yaffe walks downstairs, the nurse happens to go upstairs holding a clean quilt.
The nurse is a little embarrassed, “Doctor Qin, sorry to trouble you just now.”
“It’s ok. Is Mr. Mo in a terrible mood?”
Nodded the nurse, “Maybe it’s because of the injury. Hard to take. He got hot-tempered several times a day, throwing things and cursing people. It happened usually in the middle of the night, making other patients unable to sleep.”
“There must be a great psychological letdown for him, which we couldn’t comprehend. You go ahead, I’ll be downstairs.”
“Okay, goodbye Doctor Qin.”
Yaffe smiles and returns to her office.
Thinking of the condition of Lorin, she shakes her head.
It’s hard to imagine the hardship of the recovering process. It’s powerless to say anything.
For a big shot like Lorin, he sees things.
Losing control just like this, he must have experienced pain that he couldn’t bear.
**
The news that Lorin Mo being in Youndgon Hospital is leaked by someone. By the time when folks are getting off work, the hospital is full of paparazzi taking photos, which even affects the hospital operation for a time.
Hospital has been a place for reporters to dig materials, which would make a headline accidentally and be named evil hospital, evil doctor, evil nurse and so on.
Thus, they treat paparazzi this time with a delicate way of not rejecting their shooting and not cooperating too much to keep hospital operate.
This delicacy is hard to grasp, almost making half the personal mad.
Yaffe is no exception, fearing wrong talking and being blamed by director.
Finally it’s time to get off, Yaffe takes off her white gown right away and gets ready to go home.
Doctor Cao of the same department comes, “Yaffe, not so fast, could you help me out with a shift?”
“What kind of shift? Isn’t it the long night shift?”
“You got it right.”
“My sis, could you inform me beforehand for switching a long night? I’m so anxious to go home. And you just tell me.” Yaffe can’t help whining.
“I was busy with those paparazzi this afternoon. Got no time to come. The patient on bed No. 37 was temporarily scheduled for operation tomorrow. And I have a long night shift tonight. That’s gonna kill me. Next time I’ll do it for you, please? ”
“No, unless you let me touch your breast.” Yaffe gives a dirty smile.
“You little pervert.” Doctor Cao covers her big breast, defending the integrity of every inch of her meat.
“Alright, off you go now. I’ll get some food in the canteen, and do the shift for you tonight.”
“Thanks darling!”
Yaffe waves her hand lazily, sitting back to her seat.
Anne asks, “Sis, let me order a dish for you.”
“I’m not hungry now, maybe later. You go back home.”
“Want me to stay with you?”
“Stay for the long night? No need. I can handle it.”
Anne then leaves reluctantly.
Yaffe gives Quinn a phone call, “Hey, Rich Man, no need for you to pick me up, just switch a shift with my colleague, a long night shift, gotta work till tomorrow afternoon. Don’t wait for me for dinner.”
“You guys do this shift in usual time too?”
“Special occasion, can’t help it. Sometimes I could nap for a while. So don’t worry.’
“Okay.”
Yaffe lays down the phone with a little disappointment.
Can her rich man say anything nice to comfort her?
A night shift is no big deal for a doctor, but sometimes she wants to indulge herself a bit too.
Yaffe rubs her face, taking away the bit of her indulgence, and then goes for canteen food.
**
Night time.
Yaffe patrols all the wards of the department, records the data, informs the nurse on duty of the special conditions of a few patients, and then goes back to the office.
“Wow,” Yaffe looks surprised, entering the office.
Quinn is sitting in front of her desk, staring at his phone.
One could only see a blurry profile of him under the dim light.
Quinn turns around, “Surprised?”
“Rich Man, what’re you doing here?” Yaffe is full of thrill.
Seeing her little cheerful face, Quinn finds out that he comes in a right time tonight, “To bring a late-night snack for you.”
