Chapter 63 Dr. Qin, Have You Suffered Domestic Violence?

Book:Crush on You Published:2024-5-1

After breakfast, Yaffe says to Karmier and Roi, “Dad and Mum, I’m sorry for worrying you.”
“Don’t be silly. Have a thorough check. We’ll prepare you a good meal at home.”
“Thank you.”
Quinn drives to Youndgon Hospital. He carries Yaffe to the floor where the department of cerebral surgery is.
Willouphy follows them closely.
Their appearance soon attracts all patients and medical staff’s attention. As soon as they reach that floor, the assistant doctor is stunned at the sight of Yaffe, “Yaffe, what’s wrong with you?”
“I happened to fall and my head got hit. In case of abnormal situation, I come here for check.”
“I see. I’ll immediately ask Dr. Li to arrange the brain scan. Do you feel uncomfortable right now?”
“No. But yesterday when I slid down the hill, I fell into a coma for a short time.”
“The back of the brain or the side?”
“Back.”
The assistant doctor continues asking some questions and takes the notes down.
Dr. Li comes and reads the record made by the assistant doctor, saying, “Take an X-ray first to see the inside situation of the surface of the wound.”
Yaffe nods, implying Quinn to put her down.
But Quinn obviously ignores her request. He carries her after the assistant doctor and Willouphy follows them as well.
The scan takes over 10 minutes and the assistant doctor helps Yaffe sit up.
Dr. Li reads the X-ray film for a while, mocking, “Dr. Qin, do you need my analysis?”
Yaffe coughs slightly, “Dr. Li, please pay attention to your attitude.”
Dr. Li smiles, “According to the film, there’s nothing serious. There’s a little congestion in tritocerebrum. The brain will repair it automatically. No worries.”
“No, I won’t.”
Dr. Li gets closed to Yaffe’s ear, “Have you suffered domestic violence?”
Yaffe looks at her speechlessly, “I’m such an outrageous person. Is it possible?”
“No. Quinn is more likely to suffer domestic violence.”
“That’s true.”
Dr. Li prescribes her some medicine to activate blood and dissolve stasis and then sends her away.

When the car drives from the hospital, Yaffe looks out of the window, “It’s not the way to the mansion.”
“We’re going home.”
“How will you explain to parents?” She remembers Roi’s words that she is preparing delicious food at home.
“I’ve told them.”
Yaffe nods. What a pity that only noon and afternoon are left for this weekend.
After parking the car in the villa, Quinn carries her upstairs in his arms like before and puts her on the bed.
Noticing his determination, Yaffe doesn’t refuse.
Willoupby is playing with Wheele downstairs.
Leaning against the head of the bed, Yaffe looks towards Quinn and says, “I got injured because of my ignorance. Don’t blame yourself.”
“If it’s not my mistake, it’s not even yours.” Quinn touches her hair, “Take a good rest. I’m gonna deal with something.”
“Ok.” When Quinn leaves, Yaffe takes Ipad from the nightstand and starts to read Lorin Mo’s operation case written by Dean.
Lorin’s case is very special.
Firstly, he is special. Secondly, his case has reference value which contains several departments’ treatment. Thirdly, the case is written by the general surgeon of this operation.
All of them make the case classic.
Yaffe carefully reads the case by Dean and can’t help appreciating him.
Judging from theories and principles, the case accurately describes the patient’s situation to make it clear to anyone who reads the case.
Hence, most cases briefly describe what has to be described. As for patients’ other aspects, they don’t include.
Although this doesn’t influence the decision of treatment, it affects readers’ judgment who read them later.
Additionally, western medicine argues to treat where there is need to be treated. That is to say, they divide human body into different parts and treat them separately.
However, Chinese medicine regards human body as a whole part. Human body needs careful investigation first, then nursing so that illness can be removed from the origin.
This process is longer than western medical treatment.
Nowadays, people live at fast pace and purchase high efficiency, so most of them choose western medicine for its obvious effect.
Dean recommends Chinese medicine. The cases he writes cover more Chinese medical treatment.
Even though doctors or medical students don’t attend the operation in person, they are able to know what happens via cases.

Yaffe reads the case and the pictures attach many times until she feels painful in the eyes. She puts down Ipad and rests against the head of the bed.
Sometimes she hears Wheele’s barking from the yard.
If Willouphy could speak and smile like a normal kid, that would be good.
Thinking of this, she suddenly remembers Molly.
If Molly is a person like what she saw yesterday, it is impossible for her to treat Willouphy sincerely.
Kids’ feeling is the most sensitive.
If one is hostile to them, they can easily feel it.
Inferred from this viewpoint, why does Willouphy refuse Karmier and Roi’s touch?
Are they hostile to him as well?
They attribute the death of Johnnian and Aurelia to him, so they can’t accept Willouphy?
At the thought of this, Yaffe gets goose bumps.
She finds herself a supporter of conspiracy theory.

Since she gets hurt on the leg and it is inconvenient for her to drive, Quinn is responsible for sending her to and from work.
It takes a few days so people in the hospital turns from surprised to calm.
After Quinn leaves, Anne comes up to Yaffe and looks at her ruefully.
Yaffe is scared by her look, “What do you wanna say?”
“You promised to arrange a meal for Quinn and me. When will you do it?”
Yaffe pats on her head, “I’m sorry, I forgot it. I try to arrange it now. If he is available tomorrow noon, what about having a lunch together?”
“Make a phone call now.”
Speechlessly, Yaffe takes the phone and sends a voice message to Quinn, “Rich Man, do you have time tomorrow noon? A friend of mine wanna have a meal with you to appreciate your beauty in a short distance.”
Seeing the message sent out, Ann goes to work delightedly.

Quinn doesn’t take out the phone until he arrives at the office. He clicks on the voice message.
After hearing it, he can’t help smiling, replying, “Yes. I’ll pick you up at noon.”
The special assistant is coming in to send a document. Seeing the smile on Quinn’s face, he is shocked in heart.
He has been his special assistant for 5 years, but he rarely sees Quinn’s smile. Quinn is always like a robot that has no emotion.
Once he thinks Quinn rarely smiles because his facial nerves are broken.
Now it is obvious that CEO doesn’t suffer facioplegia at all. He just doesn’t wanna wear an expression.
Quinn takes back his slight smile, asking, “Golden Media’s contract?”
Golden Media is a subsidiary of the Hersh Group. It focuses on films and television and advertisement.
“Yes, sir. Golden Media sent it here just now. It is the contract with Lorin Mo’s studio. Last Friday Lorin came across an accident during the shooting time. He is now in hospital. The staff of his studio might negotiate with Ms. Han for compensation. Ms. Han’s drafted a Contract of Indemnity and asked for your approval.”
