Quinn He takes over the contract. He asks as he reads it, “Have you investigated the cause of the accident?”
“It was the lighting engineer and the WIA division’s improper operation.”
Quinn frowns and says in a cold voice, “Are you going to say that they are casual laborers?”
“Well…”
“You have one hour to investigate, then tell me the ins and outs of the incident.”
“OK.”
Seeing that the special assistant doesn’t mean to leave, he asks, “anything else?”
“I just received a phone call from the front desk, saying there was a Miss Jarre Lo wanted to see you, who claimed to be Mrs. He’s cousin.”
Without any emotion on his face, Quinn said, “Tell her to come up.”
“OK.”
The special assistant makes a cup of tea in a well-trained manner for Quinn and leaves the room.
Quinn circles some mistakes on the indemnity contract after finishing reading it.
Milana Han is one of the few career women that he appreciates, so the contract should have had no mistake under her examination.
So were these obvious mistakes her deliberate act or things were out of her control?
Suddenly, someone knocks on the office door.
“Come in.”
The special assistant leads Jarre into the office.
Quinn closes the contract, saying, “Tell Ms. Han to call me an hour later, and you can take this contract back.”
“OK.”
The special assistant serves Jarre with a cup of tea and goes out with the contract in his hand.
Quinn then sets his eyes on Jarre.
Jarre smiles at Quinn and unconsciously puffs out her big bosom, saying, “Nice to meet you, Quinn, I hope that my abrupt visit won’t bother you.”
“That’s fine. So what’s wrong? Yaffe didn’t tell me that you’ll come.”
“Important people have a short memory. I have mentioned several times to her. Has she never told you?” Jarre says surprisingly. Then she adds, “Maybe she was too busy that she forgot about this.”
Of course she is lying.
First, Jarre wants to attract Quinn’s attention. Second, she wants to derogate Yaffe so as to improve Quinn’s impression on herself.
Quinn doesn’t say anything about this but asks, “So why are you coming today?”
Again, Jarre replies with a bashful smile on her face, “My graduate internship will begin right after the New Year. Since I major in business administration, I intend to volunteer myself to intern in your company. May I?”
“Do you have resume with you?”
“Yes.”
“Then give it to the special assistant, he will input your information into our talent base and recommend a position that meets your specialty. Are you OK with this?”
Hearing this, Jarre is a little embarrassed because she has put her resume on the table. However, she retracts her resume with a smile and says, “Yeah, thank you so much.”
“We also need to attract talents, so this is good for both sides.” Quinn looks at the time on his laptop and says, “I have a meeting ten minutes later, you can talk to the special assistant first and let him give you an overview of the subsidiary companies of the Hersh Group. I will have lunch with Yaffe. You can join us if you have time.”
“Of course I have. I haven’t seen my sister for such a long time and I miss her so much.” Jarre says happily. Afraid of disturbing Quinn again, she takes her resume and goes out.
Before closing the office door, Jarre can’t help looking at Quinn’s direction.
But he is setting his eyes on his laptop.
With deliberate and calm temperament, attractive appearance, high-end customized suit, he looks elegant and splendid from head to toe.
Such a man is so close to her that she can almost touch him.
She wants to be with him, so that she is the only one in his eyes.
Quinn looks at the stock market chart on the screen and sneers.
In less than half an hour from the opening of the Wen family’s stock market, the market value has plunged by several hundred million.
They will have to hold an urgent meeting this morning for solutions.
He won’t give them any opportunity.
Thinking about this, his eyes become deep, cold, and impenetrable without any warmth.
In the whole morning, except for doing the rounds of the wards, all Yaffe do is participate in the meeting called by the president on the follow-up treatment plan of Lorin Mo.
However, she is only a listener in this kind of high-level meeting.
The dean, director and experts discuss Lorin’s physical injuries, postoperative indicators and recovery projection, as well as making detailed treatment plans in case of emergency.
Barely listening to these is confusing enough, Yaffe doesn’t dare to be absent of mind for one second.
Therefore, she felt even more tired than performing an operation after the meeting finished.
When she returns to office, Anne is waiting for her excitedly with her bag on.
So Yaffe changes clothes quickly and goes to the hospital gate with her.
After just one minute-wait, they see Quinn’s car coming.
Yaffe waves at him.
Quinn pulls up the car and gets off to open the door for them.
Anne naturally bends down and sits in the back seat. Seeing Jarre in the car, she is quite perplexed but says, “Hello,” thinking that she might be Quinn’s assistant.
Hearing this, Yaffe looks in the car and cries in complete amazement, “Jarre?”
Jarre pops out her head, saying with a smile on her face, “I went to my Quinn’s company for an interview today, so I drop in for lunch.”
“Really? Have you passed the interview?”
Jarre feels resentful about her words.
‘Why did you say that?
I am a graduate, such a small interview is not a thing for me.
Don’t look down upon me.’
Even with this in her mind, Jarre manages to smile and says, “It all depends on Quinn. I dare not to talk nonsense without his recognition.”
Yaffe gets into the car and says, “You’re so excellent, Quinn’s company can’t miss you.”
Quinn sits back in the car and asks Yaffe, “What do you want to eat?”
“Something expensive and delicious.” She replied with a smile.
“Can’t you have other pursuit?” Quinn can’t help laughing.
“Since this is a free meal, cheap ones don’t fit your status as a rich man.”
“Well. I will take you to a private restaurant which is not far from here, so that you can come back after lunch and take a nap.”
“OK, thank you, Rich Man.”
Jarre despises their conversation secretly.
It seems that she has overestimated Yaffe, she is so superficial.
While Anne thinks their conversation is very cute and sweet.
The private restaurant is only ten-minute ride.
It locates in an alleyway by the river and is name after the many Ficus microcarpa here.
