Chapter 52 Daddy, Would You Just Look at Your Wife?

Book:Crush on You Published:2024-5-1

Yaffe is thinking silently in her heart.
She is used to being stared at by other people, and she feels nothing.
She wants to get a trolley.
Quinn is one step ahead of her; he walks over and pushes a trolley over, and asks, “Where shall we go first?”
“The fresh food area is at the innermost point. Let’s start from there.”
“Ok.”
The two walk slowly to the fresh food area. Yaffe chooses several kinds of meat, along with some vegetables and fresh fruits.
When they get to the area where milk, yogurt, and ham are placed, they put a lot of food in the trolley.
Those things have filled half of the trolley.
Quinn laughed, “You still eat that kind of things at such an age?”
“That’s what my mom and I like. By the way, what snacks does Wiphy like? I want to buy him something. As an unprofessional stepmother, I haven’t bought him any decent gifts. That just doesn’t make sense.”
“Don’t say this to his face.” Quinn says solemnly.
“Alright.” Yaffe nods, “Then what should I buy for him?”
“Just by something you like.”
Is it appropriate for you to be so perfunctory as a father?”
“I think it’s quite appropriate.”
Yaffe, “…”
In the end, Yaffe buys Wiphy a set of small sweaters and shoes of Logger Vick, Briar and Bramble, which are three famous cartoon characters.
When they arrive at the checkout counter, Quinn takes the trolley and says, “Go outside and wait.”
“Okay.”
Yaffe walks to the bench outside and sits down, looking through the crowd at Quinn who stands out among all the people.
In her love experience, the chance of being treated like this is really rare.
When she is faced with her friends, colleagues, and her mother, she always feels like a tough woman. She handles many things on her own and often takes the initiative to take care of those around her.
When she fell in love with Zeow, she rarely went shopping with him or went to the supermarket for fear that she would embarrass him.
She has to admit that Quinn gives her a kind of special and fresh feeling in many ways.
He treats her like a woman.
Yaffe thinks to herself as she watches Quinn walking towards her with two big bags of food in his hands.
Yaffe blinks, retracting her scattered thoughts, and reaches out to pick up one of the bags.
Quinn rolls his eyes and puts the car key in her hand.
Yaffe touches her nose, “Rich guy, you are making me embarrassed.”
“And so?”
“You should continue to do that.”
Quinn doesn’t even bother to roll his eyes. He just raises his chin to signal her to go out.

When they return home, Wiphy has also woken up. He is sitting on the sofa with a look of anger. He doesn’t look better until Quinn and Yaffe come in.
Yaffe hooks her finger towards Wiphy, “Honey, come here.”
Wiphy reluctantly jumps off the sofa and walks to Yaffe’s side with his short legs.
Yaffe takes out the little sweater from the bag, and hands it to Wiphy, “Do you like the first gift Mommy give you?”
Wiphy looks at the cartoon characters on his clothes, and his expression is dull for a while before he accepts the gift.
Yaffe is embarrassed by the expression on his face and runs to the corner of the kitchen with the vegetables.
Seeing Yaffe’s absence, Wiphy writes on the tablet, “Daddy, would you just look at your wife? Is such childish clothes suitable for me?”
“If you don’t like it, just tell her.”
Wiphy is speechless for a while, and types on the tablet angrily, “You are absolutely doing it on purpose!”
“Yes, I’m doing it on purpose. What do you want?”
“That’s child abuse!”
Quinn doesn’t even bother to lift his eyelids, and replies, “You seem to trouble me a lot, too. Isn’t it good to have a love-hate relationship?”
Wiphy glares at Quinn. He turns around and runs upstairs.
He doesn’t forget to take that embarrassing little sweater with him when he runs away.
Quinn curls up the corners of his mouth and wanders into the kitchen.
Yaffe is handling the ingredients in the kitchen. Hearing his steady footsteps, she says without turning around, “You just bullied my son. Did you ask for my permission?”
“What do you want?”
“Why do I feel that you are responsible for Wiphy’s illness as such an irresponsible father?”
“You are right.”
Yaffe smiles and continues to deal with the ingredients in her hand, and suddenly says, “Rich guy, shall we go back to the He mansion to have dinner with your parents? It’s not appropriate for me to not visit them as their daughter-in-law.”
“Why do you want to see them all of a sudden?” Quinn frowns.
Yaffe replies without thinking twice, “My mom just scolded me. She said I am ignorant, and I don’t know how to act and think like a married woman. I think she’s right. If I do anything wrong, please remind me. After all, it’s improper to spend so much of your money without doing anything for you. That just doesn’t make sense.”
“Are you doing this because of my money?”
“You won’t believe it even if I say no.”
Quinn doesn’t know whether he should strangle this little woman who doesn’t get his true meaning or he should doubt his charm.
It seems that his charm never works in front of this little woman.
From the beginning, she has tried to run from him, and he chases all the way.
How can he live like this?
It’s hard to find a woman that he doesn’t hate and that little bastard also likes. But this woman turns out to have low EQ.
Quinn snorts and walks out of the kitchen without looking back.
Yaffe looks suspiciously at Quinn’s back. She doesn’t understand what has happened to the rich guy.
**
During the two weekends, Yaffe is basically at home.
Wiphy stays next to her except for the specific study time.
When she is studying cases and reading professional books, Wiphy watches his learning tutorials on the tablet.
His commonly used devices are two tablets and a laptop.
One tablet is a mini one, which is convenient for him to carry around; and the other is a large 13-inch tablet, which is about the same size as the screen of the laptop, so he can watch the graphics or video demonstrations.
The laptop is for his homework.
Yaffe use to be worried at the beginning that his eyes would not be able to bear the long hours of watching electronic devices, but he has a fairly regular life style.
Besides typing on a tablet during study time and traveling, he also uses pen and paper.
Yaffe has to admit that Wiphy is the most trouble-free child Yaffe has ever seen, but he is also the child that makes her worried most.
No one knows what is hiding in his heart.
What kind of fear lies deep inside his little heart?

On Monday, as soon as Yaffe appears on the floor where her office is located, Anne rushes over like she has seen the savior.
“Yaffe, the obstetrics and gynecology department needs you.” Anne says anxiously.
“What’s wrong?”
“The obstetrics and gynecology department received a young patient yesterday afternoon. The young patient is very uncooperative and unwilling to let them perform the operation. The parents are not happy about it.”
