Quinn replies with a smile, “Luckily the game finishes. I can’t catch up with it. It’s time for Wiphy to sleep. He should take a shower first. I’m busy at work these days and can’t go home in time. His feet get hurt and he can’t take a shower and do things himself. So I hope he can stay here for a few days. Is it ok?”
“No problem. Although he doesn’t want to be touched, he’s willing to communicate. He’s more mature than children of his age. Don’t be worried about him.” Monismith replies without thinking.
“Uncle and Auntie, thank you very much.”
Quinn takes Wiphy from Yaffe’s hands and helped Yaffe upstairs.
After coming into the room, Yaffe is about to get Wiphy’s clothes for change.
Before her hands touch the two small suitcases, a big hand stops her.
Quinn says, “Dr. Qin, don’t forget you’re a patient.”
“I got hurt on the feet not the hands.”
Quinn says with a glance at her, “Be good. It’s enough for me to have a little trouble-maker at home. I don’t want one more. You are responsible for being beautiful. I’ll do other things.”
Yaffe can’t stop smiling, saying, “Mr. He, you’re so cool. If your words are heard by your fangirls, they will be excited.”
“I just want you to be happy.” He replies with one hand skillfully carrying Wiphy and the other hand looking for clothes in the suitcase.
He puts the clothes on Yaffe’s hands. Yaffe feels relaxed for she is still able to handle it.
Then Quinn carries the clothes and Wiphy into the bathroom.
Hearing the sound of water in the bathroom, Yaffe has an illusion as if they have been couples for many years.
Yaffe leans against the bed with nothing to do. She takes out the broken phone and puts the SIM card into the spare phone.
When she turns on the phone, millions of messages from Wechat and QQ come out. It takes nearly a minute, which surprises her.
She doesn’t read the messages until they all come out.
Most are group chat messages.
She glances at the messages. They are not important, so she closes the group chat window.
Then she reads Rowie’s personal messages.
Rowie: I heard you were pushed down by a patient’s family member. Did you get hurt seriously? I came for you after work, but Ann said you had been picked up by Quinn. Is it ok?
Yaffe replies, “I’m fine. I only got my ankles sprained, but not that seriously. Don’t worry. Be cautious as well. I can handle patients and family members’ blame, but you can’t. If you happen to meet it, try to have other doctors handle it. Don’t rush to the fore.”
Rowie replies very soon.
Rowie: I think it was more than a coincidence. Is it possible that Quaneisha and Zeow arranged the incident?
Yaffe: They were doctors from overseas universities. I don’t think so.
Rowie: It’s hard to say. They can do anything.
Yaffe couldn’t help laughing. She replied, “Stop your imagination, I’ll deal with it.”
Rowei: Ok. I forgot to give my best wishes to your marriage. I believe you’ll give yourself happiness.
Yaffe: Thank you, dear, I will. Be my bridesmaid!
Rowie: Sure. When is the date?
Yaffe: 29th.
Rowei: I won’t have dinner this week. I must be slim enough for the dress.
Yaffe: Ok. I have chosen you a beautiful dress. You’ll be the most attractive in the wedding.
Rowie: Come on. How can I be more beautiful than you?!
Yaffe: Then you are the bride.
…
They chat happily until Quinn finishes Wiphy’s shower. He carries him out of the bathroom and Yaffe says bye to Rowie.
Quinn lays Wiphy beside Yaffe, saying, “Dry his hair please.”
Then he puts the hairdryer specifically designed for children in Yaffe’s hand.
Yaffe takes it, looks at the label and positions and then tries it towards her hand for a while.
After that, she switches to a proper position to dry Wiphy’s hair. She fiddles with his soft dark hair from time to time.
Wiphy’s arms holds Yaffe’s waist. He lies in her arms, like a doll.
Yaffe lets him hold her. She doesn’t turn off the dryer until his hair turns dry.
Quinn watches them beside and then takes the hairdryer into the suitcase. He says, “Have a try. Don’t compel yourself if it is tiring.”
“I know. It’s late. You should go home now.”
“Ok.” Quinn stands up. He kisses her forehead naturally, saying, “Take a good rest. Try to get recovered before the marriage. Don’t leave the regret.”
“I will. Take care.”
He touches Wiphy’s head, picks the coat and goes downstairs.
After he leaves, Wiphy straightens himself up and kisses forcefully on the places where Quinn kisses before.
Yaffe is listening to Quinn’s talk with parents. Noticing what Wiphy does, she dissolves into laughter.
“Are you competing with your father?”
Wiphy ignores her.
Yaffe checks the wounds on his feet. It is dry surrounding the wounds. Quinn has given him new traumatic and gauze.
Then she wraps him in soft quilt and leaves for taking a shower.
When she closes the door of the bathroom, she seems to hear the message sound from the phone.
She doesn’t notice it but take a shower.
Wiphy gets up and reads the unread message without feeling guilty.
Ann: Yaffe, the assistant of Dean and I went to deal with a patient who drank vitriol. I saw Menke there. The incident might be arranged by Menke. Be cautious of her.
Reading these words, a cunning look appears on Wiphy’s face.
He types in a line on the mini Ipad.
Before he finishes it, he receives a message from Quinn.
Quinn: If you play Ipad again, I’ll only allow you to take paper and pens with you.
Wiphy snorts unsatisfiedly. After finishing the line, he sends the message.
Wiphy: It’s you. My lady is bullied!
Quinn: Young hero, autism hasn’t been cured yet. You suffer delusion?
Wiphy: Why do you always attract women. Yaffe was bullied because of you.
Quinn: Explain it clearly!
Wiphy: Investigate what happened in the hospital today. If Yaffe gets hurt again, I won’t let you off!
Quinn: Tell me all that you know.
Wiphy, Menke Hu, the doctor of Youndgon Hospital.
Quinn: Got it. Go to sleep!
Wiphy doesn’t go offline until he adds Yaffe’s Wechat and QQ. He watches lessons on the Ipad.
His Dad doesn’t force him to school, but it doesn’t mean he doesn’t need to study.
Instead, his timetable is more compact than others’ and the lessons are more difficult.
