Book:Love You With All My Heart Published:2024-5-1

It is Mrs. Moore who opens the door for them. She asks curiously, “Don’t you two go out for a pregnancy check-up? Why do you come back?”
Lawrence pulls Nancy into his arms, exposing this dumbfounded girl to Mrs. Moore, and then puts his chin on the pit of her neck, smiling, “Mom, I want your household register!”
Mrs. Moore is stunned for a moment, and then quickly thinks over his sentence for five seconds. Then she immediately understands it.
“Okay, wait a moment. I will take it out for you!”
Then, under Nancy’s incredible gaze, Mrs. Moore rushes back to her room as if she is participating in a 100-meter dash. Ten seconds later, she comes back with a red register in her hand, “Here you are; this is our household register.”
Lawrence gives her a bright smile, “Thank you, mom.”
“Hurry now. Otherwise, there will be so many people waiting in line, and then you will not be able to register before closing time of the Civil Affair’s Bureau.” Mrs. Moore urges them and pushes them out. Then she closes the door.
Nancy finally comes back to herself and realizes what Lawrence means by asking her for the household register.
She innocently turns around and asks a silly question, “Are you… going to get the marriage certificate with me?”
“What else? Where’s your brain?” Lawrence pokes her head in a pampering manner. Seeing that she still looks stupid, as if she cannot distinguish whether it is a dream or a reality, his smile gets even wilder.
“I suddenly worry about the intelligence of our baby. If it inherits your IQ, what should I do?”
Nancy is stunned. A big palm covers her forehead and is stroking it gently. She is not angry at this; instead, she has an illusion that she is being protected.
An hour later, at the Civil Affair’s Bureau.
Nancy and Lawrence are ready to take photos, “Three, two, one…”
“Wait, wait, I am sorry, can you wait a moment?” Nancy didn’t wear any make-up this morning and went out casually. Now that she is going to take a picture for their marriage certificate, shouldn’t she wear a light make-up?
Seeing that Nancy is rummaging through her handbag, Lawrence leans over and asks in confusion, “What are you doing”
“I should wear some light make-up! Otherwise, it is… too ugly to take a photo.” Nancy gets nervous and even forgets the makeup procedures. She is holding a powder puff at hand, but she doesn’t know on where she should use the powder.
“To be honest, you don’t need to wear any make-up. I have seen your uglier appearance.” Lawrence words are like an unexpected blow to her self-confidence. Then Nancy obediently zips up her handbag, deciding not to wear any make-up. Anyway, it is his eyes that will get hurt by the ugliness, not hers.
The photographer instructs them, “Three, two, one, smile!”
“Crack.” The photo is finally taken and Nancy feels things finally come to a close. Lawrence acts like a young boy who is waiting for the printing of the photo with much anticipation.
Then the two hand in their household registers and the photos taken just now to the working staff. “Mr. Lawrence Ellis, are you willing to marry Miss Nancy Moore? Miss Nancy Moore, are you willing to marry Mr. Lawrence Ellis?”
Ellis holds up the hand of Nancy and smiles at her. Nancy just watches his movements. When they are about to say yes, there comes a roar from the door, “I don’t agree.”
People present follow the sound and look at the man. It turns out to be Martin Evans, who stands at the door with a gloomy and pathetic expression. He walks towards Nancy in a huff, scolding, “I don’t agree. Nancy, at that time, you told me you will only marry me. Now you are marrying the other man. How can you be so cruel to me?”
Nancy looks at him and smiles in ager. The most regretful thing she did in her past life is to meet Martin Evans. He is such a bastard without a bottom line!
Just as Martin’s hand is about to touch Nancy’s, Lawrence suddenly grasps his hand, and warns coldly, “How dare you touch my woman?”
As he is speaking, he gives Martin an overarm throw before he can react. Then Martin whines on the ground in pain.
The working staffs who watch the show are crazily giving shout-outs for Lawrence, thinking he is damn handsome!
