Susan didn’t come to this kind of place very often. The waiter standing at the door might have seldom seen a girl entering the pub without makeup, so couldn’t help but give Susan a few more glances.
Susan pretended to be a regular customer, rolling her eyes and going in.
The music in the pub was so loud that she even couldn’t hear her own voice; the colorful dim light illuminated the silhouettes who were wriggling like ghosts in the dance floor.
There was a muffled voice in the earphones, Susan lowered her head slightly and reached out to press the earphones tightly. It was Edward who was speaking, “Have you seen them?”
“I’m searching,” Susan looked around with a frown.
From time to time, there were slender silhouettes swaying in front of her eyes. She found and stood on a stair near her seat, slightly broadening her vision.
“It seems that I’ve found Leo,” She suddenly found Leo at the opposite table.
Standing next to Leo were a few people whom she had never seen before. He was standing aside with his arms folded, but the look on his face seemed unpleasant.
There were some bottles of wine on the table, and there was a man with a cigarette in his hand while his other hand pointing at the person sitting on the seat.
After a while, the man moved his body, revealing the face of the person sitting on the seat. She could see in the distance that Lan’s cheeks colored with blush, he leaned on the seat and panted heavily.
A woman was sitting beside Lan, her big eyes with heavy makeup drooped slightly and she deliberately kept some distance with Lan. Because of being threatened by the people next to her, her upper body tilted slightly toward Lan.
The empty wine glass on the table was filled up again.
“How are they?” The voice in the earphones was anxious.
“Leo’s fine, but Lan looks not so good,” Susan kept her eyes on the opposite table.
The smoking man’s emotion seemed to have gotten out of control, Lan’s body swayed a little and his gaze was rigidly fixed at the wine glass on the table.
Susan noticed the empty wine bottle on the ground and Leo seemed to say something vehemently at this moment.
What should she do? Obviously the other side didn’t intend to let go of Lan but to get him drunk.
“Susan, listen to me, don’t go over if they’re temporarily fine. Do you hear it?” Edward’s voice came faintly through the earphones.
Susan saw Lan put his one hand on the table, the sweat on his forehead slipped down his cheek, she worried that he couldn’t take it anymore if he continued to drink.
“I got it,” Susan promised him, but subsequently she stepped down the stairs. She looked left and right, finding a way to walk toward the opposite side.
Beside the two cars parked not far from the pub, the three persons surrounded a phone. After Susan answered, the music in the phone increased and lowered in volume along with the movement of Susan.
“Eh, where’re you going?!” Cuss caught Edward.
Edward withdrew the piece of his shirt grasped by Cuss, his black eyes were unpredictable under the dim light, “She has gone in, and I’m really worried for her. You just wait for Dwayne here.”
“But if you go in now…” Cuss’s remarks were left behind by Edward, but he had already known that the decisions of Edward were rarely changed.
Just like when Team DBG signed him up at the age of his sixteen, he insisted on going back to school for one year regardless of the advice of their coach and manager.
Or maybe when he was thirteen, the moment he was beaten black and blue in the corner, he met a girl whom he told himself he must get.
Oakley let out a sigh precociously on the side, “This might be true love.”
Cuss shrugged, the temperature outside was indeed a bit low when night fell, so he opened the door and got into the car.
In the pub.
Susan, like a ghost, headed toward the wine table where Leo and Lan were.
Leo turned livid with rage, turning his back on the wine table, and he suddenly found Susan as he lowered his head.
He gaped his mouth in surprise, but made no sound. Swallowing his saliva calmly, he approached her when everyone was paying no attention.
“Why are you here?!” Leo came up to Susan’s ear, but whispered loudly.
