They immediately packed up some things, putting on their jackets, taking the phone and the car key.
Edward put on his clothes and said, “Cuss, you call Dwayne to tell him the situation. After that, three of you go there in one car and I’ll drive alone.”
“I’d like to go!” Susan looked at Edward.
Edward made a short pause, looking at her eyes deeply, “Okay.” Turning over his head, he went on saying to the three persons, “So three of you drive one car and I’ll give Susan a ride. Let’s go now.”
“Alright,” The moment they were in their conversation, they had already entered the elevator, making their way to the underground garage.
“Be careful later no matter what the circumstances are. Bring them out once you find Lan and Leo,” Edward enjoined repeatedly.
“Alright.”
“Get into the car.”
Susan just sat in the front passenger seat obediently, she didn’t know what was going on, but Edward’s expression seemed to be not so optimistic.
While waiting for a green light, Edward moved away his fist from his lips. He stared straight ahead and said, “Today, Lan goes to pick her girlfriend up. Although he said she is his girlfriend, I don’t think so.”
“She’s a COSER, we saw her being together with different men in the club for three times at least,” Edward’s car accelerated slightly on the not crowded road, “Lan has seen it as well. He is cheating himself, but I can’t say much about these things.”
“We subsequently heard she was with a powerful man, and she asked Lan to give up. Lan refused at first, but Leo forced him to stay at DBG’s base because of his career. The management didn’t meddle in this matter because the World Championship just ended and there was no major competition that would affect the team,” Edward followed the navigation route to approach the pub where Leo was positioned.
It was only then that Susan knew why Lan pined away when she saw him that day.
“She takes the initiative to get in touch with Lan this time. Although he promises us that he just goes to meet her, Leo feels worried and must go with him.” Edward let out a deep breath, furrowing his forehead even tighter, then he said under his breath, “I don’t feel like watching my bro cook his own goose.”
“It will be fine,” Susan didn’t know how to comfort him, “Is there anything I can do for you?”
“Protect yourself,” Edward gave her a glance.
The pub was located at a less conspicuous place, there were a few waiters standing by the door. The ear-splitting music blasted out from the pub and could be heard vaguely even sitting in the car.
“Dwayne asks us to wait outside, or we won’t be able to get away if we get in and be photographed,” They got off the car, discussing beside the cars.
“Waiting outside? We didn’t know what’s going on inside, can we wait?” Cuss was somewhat worried.
“You guys wait here, I’ll go in,” Edward didn’t want to drag his teammates into this mess.
After all, it was not a good news for a pro gamer to go to the bar. Moreover, their club had stipulated that pro gamers were not allowed to enter the pub.
Edward opened the car door and took out his cap, but Susan grabbed his hand as he was ready to put it on.
Susan wrenched the cap out of his hand, putting it on and blinking playfully, “Don’t ignore me, it shouldn’t be a problem for me to enter the pub. All of you can just wait for me outside.”
She raised her phone and wore the earphones, “I’ll contact you on the phone.”
“Edward Sis…” Oakley who was the youngest in the team looked at Susan as if she was going to jump into a fire pit.
Edward’s big hand stroked her head through the cap, “Be careful as you go in, your job is to find Leo and Lan only, don’t drink anything.”
“I know, I’m not a three-year-old kid.” Susan gave Edward a sweet smile, then walked toward the pub at a brisk pace.
