Chase really went to look at the painting.
People were all ready to mock his arrogant behavior.
Chase put the scroll on his left ear, knocking.
“What the hell! I think he has some abilities, but indeed, he is such a fool.”
“It’s the first time I’ve seen someone checks the picture by hearing it, hahaha!”
The three professors shook their heads with disdain.
Doug sighed, his face full of embarrassment.
What a shame today.
“Chase, stop. Even if you don’t care, you should keep us from being laughed.” Jeannie shouted.
“Jeannie, don’t worry. Maybe Chase has something special in distinguishing.” Ford laughed.
Gary and Terrell were sneering.
Only Keen Zuo calmly looked at Chase.
He knew Chase was the top manager of Jay Sis Technology, so Chase definitely had some special abilities.
Chase must do this with his own ideas.
Or…
There was something wrong with the scroll?
“Indeed, it’s worthless,” Chase said with pity.
Hahaha…
Chase’s word made people laughed.
“The three professors have already said this before! It’s worthless, but just the canvas deserves to be collected.”
“You’re just kidding us.”
The three professors were pleasant with people’s words.
“I can buy it with 150, 000. What do you think about that?” Chase handed the scroll to Terrell.
“150, 000? Daydream! It’s worth 200, 000.” Terrell snored, snatching the scroll.
“So, you can ask people here who is willing to buy a canvas with 200, 000? I can buy it for the sake of being classmates. If it were other’s, I could offer at most 100, 000.” Chase said calmly.
Terrell snorted. He turned around to look at the people around him. “180, 000, anyone wants to buy it?”
Now, he had to cut the price down again.
People all came here to watch the joke, so no one was willing to buy a canvas with hundreds of thousands.
“Terrell, just sell it to him.” Gary had to compromise.
Though it was a loss of money, it would be better to get some back.
Terrell was reluctant, but after a few seconds’ hesitation, he had to compromise, too. “Pay for it.”
“Dad, give me the money,” Chase said to Doug.
Doug was shocked. Did his son-in-law come here to set him up?
“Chase Lu, are you mad to buy a poor canvas with 150, 000? Mom will kill dad if dad does this.” Jeannie roared.
“Dad, you can pay only 150, 000 to collect this ancient panting.” Chase smiled.
What?
Doug was speechless. Only 150, 000? So, Chase should pay for it himself!
“Follow me.” Doug pulled Chase to a corner. “Chase, do you want to trick me?”
“Dad, I don’t mean that. I think there is something in the scroll.” Chase explained.
“Really?” Doug was surprised.
“I just feel it, so I can’t be sure.” Chase smiled.
Doug hesitated. “The same feeling as it when you bought the cup?”
“Well, half of it.” Chase nodded.
Doug continued to hesitate for a long time. “OK, I trust you once more. Don’t let me down.”
“OK, let’s pay for it.” Chase just smiled.
“Tell me your bank card number,” Doug said to Terrell.
People were all stupefied.
“Doug, are you crazy? How can you report this to your wife?”
“Doug, what are you thinking about? I remember you don’t like collecting paintings. Calm down.”
“Oh, don’t listen to your son-in-law. He is a fool.”
“If I had such a trouble-making son-in-law, I would definitely kill him.”
People all persuaded Doug.
“Poor Chase, I thought you’ll buy it yourself, so you’re asking you father-in-law to pay it for you?” Terrell mocked.
Gary thought so. Chase was not a big potato, actually. The reason for him to buy the car and to know Mr. Chris was all because of his father-in-law.
Gary felt disappointed with Jayne.
How could Jayne refuse him but choose such a coward?
“This guy is funny.” Keen laughed. He had tricked his father-in-law many times, as well.
Doug paid the money, and then stared at Chase, waiting for Chase to tell him the truth.
Just as people intended to leave, Chase shouted. “Dad, since you don’t like this poor painting, let me break it.”
What?
Was this guy really mad?
People looked at Doug with sympathy.
“No! What are you doing…” Doug hurriedly wanted to stop Chase.
It was 150, 000!
“Chase, you…” Jeannie rushed to stop, as well.
But they were late.
Chase patted on the scroll, and the scroll was broken.
But…
As the painting was broken, people here were all shocked by the strange scene.
