And Gary Li was with Terrell Zhao.
Gary intended to send an antique as a gift to someone he had offended. Though he didn’t know who it was yet, he had to prepare well the present first.
Gary was surprised to see Chase. Chase knew Chris, and now he knew the three masters, as well. What was his identity, actually?
Terrell saw Chase, too, but he had no time to care about Chase.
He bought this painting with 500, 000 yuan just now, but someone told him that it was a counterfeit, so he hurriedly came here to consult Todd.
Todd was one of the most skilled experts in Jol City, who was well-known in judging antiques’ value.
“Well, let me have a look.” Todd took the painting.
Chase also curiously went to look.
It was a landscape painting with beautiful poetry on it.
Todd slowly opened the scroll and then approached to study, so did Milton and York.
“The canvas seems to be from the Qing Dynasty, but the painting is just so so. It is worth about only 200, 000 yuan.” Todd judged.
Then he looked at Milton and York. “What do you think?”
It was worth only 200, 000! F**k!
Terrell was furious. He was defrauded of 300, 000!
But he was still keeping his hope on Milton and York.
What if Todd judged wrong?
“Todd is right. It is worth at most 200, 000 yuan, and only someone who wants to collect the ancient paintings is willing to buy it.” York said.
“Yes, only the canvas has some collecting values.” Milton nodded.
“Well, thanks.” Terrell was disappointed.
“Since it’s worthless, just sell it here.” Gary proposed. It was inappropriate to send such a worthless painting as a gift.
“Alright.” Terrell agreed.
“According to the three professors’ judgment, it’s worth only 200, 000, so anyone who offers 190, 000 can take it.” Terrell raised the scroll.
People all came here to watch, but no one wanted to buy it since it was worthless.
“Let me have a look,” Chase said.
“Do you know much about antiques? Or don’t you believe the three professors?” Terrell sneered.
Chase just had shamed them last night, so his eyes on Chase were full of hatred.
“I want to buy it, so I need to check it first.” Chase frowned.
“Oh? You mean you don’t accept the price made by the three professors?” Terrell mocked.
“Chase Lu, the three professors are the most skilled masters in our city, and what kind of master are you? How dare you doubt their judgment?” Gary shouted.
Gary’s word was of malevolence. He wanted the three professors to be involved.
Indeed, Todd snorted and glared at Chase.
Also, Milton and York thought Chase was arrogant too much. Did Chase regard himself as a real master since he was so lucky to buy a valuable cup at a low price?
“Chase, I won’t buy it. The three professors said it’s worthless.” Doug persuaded.
“Dad, I just want to have a look. Maybe professors were wrong.” Chase smiled.
“Humph, you young men become so cocky now!” Todd snorted.
“Doug, your son-in-law is somehow arrogant!” Milton’s voice was cold.
He didn’t like such arrogant young men like Chase, so he hated Chase much all the time.
Doug was embarrassed. He thought Chase’s behavior impolite, as well.
It was totally a humiliation for the three professors that Chase, a young man, doubted their judgment.
“Who is this guy? A fool?”
“Maybe not a fool, but an idiot, haha!”
People’s discussion made Doug and Jeannie embarrassed more.
“What happened?”
At this moment, Keen Zuo came over with Ford. The three professors were invited to be the honored masters to distinguish the treasures, so Keen paid much attention to there.
Keen looked at Chase, eyebrows raising.
Just as he intended to ask, Ford said first. “Chase, you’re somehow reckless. The three professors are the brand of distinguishing treasures in our city. I know you want to find a job in our company to distinguish antiques, so you intend to prove yourself, but you can’t be so arrogant to challenge professors.”
“What? He wanted to find a job in our company?” Keen frowned. He remembered Chase seemed to be a top manager of Jay Sis Technology, so how could he want to find another job?
“Yes, Mr. Doug told me days ago. He said Chase is good at distinguishing antiques, so he asked me to help Chase find a job in our company.” Ford explained.
“Oh?” A meaningful smile came out on Keen’s face.
Gary and Terrell felt joyful to hear people satirize Chase.
“Alright. For the sake of being classmates, you’re allowed to have a look. Show us how you are good at distinguishing treasures.” Terrell sneered, handing the scroll to Chase.
People around here all laughed, ready to watch Chase’s embarrassment.
Doug sighed. He knew the three professors wouldn’t be such friendly to him anymore because of Chase’s offense.
“Chase, give back the scroll. Don’t shame us.” Jeannie shouted.
Chase ignored them, but just took the scroll and studied it.
