What!
There was an interlayer!
As Chase tore the painting apart, everyone could see the interlayer in it.
It was another magnificent landscape painting, attracting even the three professors’ eyes. They stared at the painting, subconsciously moving to it.
“Chase, quickly, let me have a look.” York urged.
“Here you are, professor York.” Chase respectfully handed it to York.
Todd and Milton were also immersed in the appreciation of it.
Their expressions revealed that this painting was unworthy.
Gary and Terrell had a complicated feeling. If it was precious, they would be regretful to death.
“Mr. Todd, what is it?” Terrell asked with cation.
People all stared at Todd with curiosity.
But Todd didn’t speak. He was still immersed in a feeling.
Minutes later, York suddenly turned to Todd and Milton.
“It’s Tang Bohu’s Jiang Ting On Maps, right?” York said.
Tang Bohu’s?
People were stupefied.
Doug would make so much money if it was really Jiang Ting On Maps.
It was worth about 40, 000, 000 yuan and was no market.
Doug hurriedly came over to look. Though he didn’t do well in painting appreciation, he still found this painting excellent.
“Let me have a more careful look.” Todd took the painting from York’s hands.
A few seconds later, Todd’s face changed to be surprised.
“Yes, it’s Jiang Ting On Maps by Tang Bohu, worth at least 0, 000, 000 yuan in the auction.” Todd judged.
Milton nodded as well. “There are being less and less Tang’s painting, so many people will buy it with even 50, 000, 000.”
“Doug, congratulations. Your son-in-low is of quite sharp eyes! I have to admit his excellent insight.” York smiled.
He appreciated Chase much.
But Milton and Todd didn’t say anything.
They still hated Chase because Chase showed that their judgments were wrong.
“Professors, this is really Tang Bohu’s Jiang Ting On Maps?” Doug’s hands were shriving.
Did he make tens of millions with one hundred and fifty thousand?
York smiled. “We’re not much skilled, but we still have some abilities in distinguishing paintings.”
Indeed, they didn’t judge wrong before.
The painting outside was quite worthless.
But…
Who could know that there was still an interlayer?
Doug patted Chase’s shoulder. “Chase, you’re not only my good son-in-law but also my lucky helper!”
“He treats you so well, even better than your son.” York laughed.
Doug was excited so much.
“Chase, you’re so great! Could you please help me get some treasures, as well?” Jeannie pulled Chase’s arm, shaking.
Gary and Terrell’s faces were as red as being colored. Their eyes were full of hatred.
Terrell clenched his hands as if he intended to beat Chase up.
“Lucky people always have unexpected luck.”
“I should buy it with 190, 000 just now.”
“Don’t say you’re regretful. Look at that guy. He is the most regretful one.”
People all turned to look at Terrell.
“Chase, Lu! F**k you! How dare you set me up?” Eventually, Terrell couldn’t restrain his anger anymore.
Doug was shocked, hurriedly putting the painting behind, keeping it from being snatched.
“How did I set you up?” Chase shrugged.
“You knew there is an interlayer, right? You deliberately said it was worthless, and you just paid 150, 000 for it!” Terrell’s facial muscles were contorted because of anger.
“Chase, you’re so snobbish. We’re classmates, so how can you cheat us like that?” Gary questioned.
“I just wanted to help you. Actually, no one was willing to buy your painting, right? Be reasonable, please.” Chase shrugged with sorrowful expressions.
Others also thought the two did too much.
Chase had bought it with money, and they accepted, so they could only blame themselves, who couldn’t find the interlayer.
“Alright, don’t argue anymore. It’s just because of your bad luck.” Keen stepped forward.
Gary and Terrell didn’t dare to speak more.
They were as humble as ants in Keen’s face.
“Mr. Doug, how about to sell it to me for 35, 000, 000?” Keen proposed with a smile.
Doug hesitated. It was so little. He could sell it for more in the auction.
“40, 000, 000, how about that?” Doug didn’t dare to refuse.
“Good deal!” Keen smiled and then beckoned a woman in a suit to come over.
The woman asked Doug for his bank card number and was ready to transfer the money at once.
“My good son-in-law, you deserve the half. I’ll give you 20, 000, 000 once I get the money.” Doug patter Chase’s shoulder, laughing.
It was really a lucky day, Doug thought.
