(A MONTH LATER)
It had been a month since the incident between DeLorna and Jefferson.
The love between the two had increased during this period as the two lived nothing but a good life.
Jefferson was fulfilling his wish of living a peaceful life with his mate.
All that remained was the baby he was waiting for.
Though he and DeLorna had sex many times she wasn’t pregnant yet and he was worried but he didn’t say it out and continued to shower DeLorna with love.
The two would sometimes go around the pack looking at the situation in the pack. Once Jefferson finds something he’s not happy with he’ll correct it immediately and immediately pass a law to stop the others from doing it.
Sometimes it was the elder’s place they visited. They would talk and laugh with the elders before Leaving.
At night Jefferson would tease DeLorna before cuddling her to sleep.
This was the life Jefferson and DeLorna lived for the past month.
Though there were sometimes when there would be a little argument between the two.
Jefferson had never won any of the arguments and would have no choice but to apologize to DeLorna later on.
During the past month, he hadn’t seen Emily who claimed she was pregnant with his child and was a bit relieved by this.
Though he was worried why DeLorna wasn’t pregnant yet he didn’t tell her as he had spoken to the elders and they had told him to be patient as DeLorna would soon conceive for him.
“What are you thinking about?” A voice jolted Jefferson from his thoughts.
Immediately he looked to his side at DeLorna and smiled.
“I’m thinking about how beautiful you become every day.”
Immediately DeLorna’s face went as red as a tomato due to Jefferson’s reply.
She turned her head and looked at the other side.
“Babe looks at me,” Jefferson smiled.
“You know you’re as beautiful as the moon, right.” He continued.
Hearing Jefferson’s word DeLorna’s face became redder and a wide smile appeared on her face as she turned back to look at Jefferson.
It was morning and the two had yet to get out of bed. They were looking at each other while smiling.
They didn’t have any plans for the day which was why they had laid on the bed without getting up.
“So what are we going to do today?” DeLorna smiled after some time looking at Jefferson.
“Hmmm…” Jefferson rubbed his beardless chin seemingly deep in thought,
“Is there any place you haven’t visited in the pack that you’d like to visit?” He grinned.
“Only the sacred ground of the pack, the place you marked me…” DeLorna started.
“Since that time I hadn’t visited the place again.” She continued.
“Since that’s the case, it’s where we’ll go today,” Jefferson grinned, moving closer to Abigail.
“What are you trying to do?” Abigail raised her eyebrows when she saw Jefferson moving closer to her.
“Just watch,” Jefferson grinned.
“Nope,” DeLorna replied and stood from the bed much to the disappointment of Jefferson.
“I’ll go wash up, by the way, your mouth stinks,” Abigail grinned going into the washroom.
Hearing Abigail’s words Jefferson tried to smell his breath to confirm if it was smelling just like DeLorna had said.
But then he found out that she was just teasing him as she was just playing around with him.
Smiling he was happy with the life he was living as he felt it was rather fulfilling.
He could not help but thank the moon goddess for giving him such a wonderful mate.
He would continue to love DeLorna till the end of time. He was going to make sure nothing ever came between them.
He was going to secure their love and make sure he didn’t look at other women.
He was going to make sure that DeLorna would be the most attractive woman to him no matter what.
Soon the door to the washroom opened and DeLorna came out with a smile on her face looking at Jefferson.
Suddenly DeLorna stood on a spot unmoving. Jefferson, who was watching her, frowned when he saw that she had suddenly stopped moving.
DeLorna was feeling dizzy at the moment as she began to see things in multiple numbers.
“What’s wrong with me?” She muttered as a strong headache hit her and the dizziness became even more powerful.
The splitting headache which had attacked her had also become more powerful.
It was as if someone was banging her head against an iron and she was hearing all sorts of words.
The pain intensified with each second. And as each second went by she felt she wouldn’t be able to hold on and would soon lose consciousness.
But the headache and dizziness were much more powerful than she had thought they would be and in no time she lost control and fell straight to the floor.
Jefferson, who was calling DeLorna’s name when he saw her suddenly stand unmoving, was nervous.
The next thing he saw was DeLorna falling to the floor. Instantly he left his position and appeared beside DeLorna catching her right before she could fall to the floor.
“DeLorna!!”
Jefferson called out softly, shaking her.
But he got no reply.
“DeLorna!!!”
He called out again this time his voice was a little bit louder and he shook her more roughly.
But he got no reply from DeLorna as her eyes were tightly shut. If not for the regular breathing Jefferson would have thought she was dead.
Seeing she wouldn’t wake up despite all he had done Jefferson stood up carrying DeLorna in a bridal style and disappeared.
He was going to the clinic as he couldn’t put his mate’s life on the line.
In no time Jefferson arrived at the clinic. Immediately the workers of the clinic saw him carrying DeLorna in his arms they rushed to him and carried her from him wheeling her into one of the wards.
Jefferson sighed as he watched them wheel his mate away on a stretcher.
All he was hoping was that nothing happened to her. He was praying the moon goddess should keep his mate safe.
An hour later the doctor came out of the ward and walked to Jefferson who was sitting on one of the chairs.
Hearing footsteps Jefferson raised his head looking at the doctor.
“How’s she?” He sighed.
“She’s fine.” The doctor smiled at Jefferson.
Hearing the doctor’s words Jefferson felt as if a huge burden had been lifted away from his chest.
“Congratulations Alpha, you’ll soon be a father.” The doctor continued.
Hearing the doctor’s words Jefferson froze for a moment not knowing what to do.
